Women should not come here alone. They tried to charge me $116 for a REGULAR OIL CHANGE. I made it very clear I just wanted a regular oil change, but one employee still came up to my window with the papers in the picture. He highlighted all of the services that I "needed today". If I hadn't advocated for myself, they wouldn't have let me leave without spending a minimum of $500. They were so persistent that I got teared up thinking they weren't going to let me leave. I told them i had never paid over $75 for an oil change in my life and I didn't want any service anymore, I would go somewhere else. After I said this, they completely changed their tone and magically updated the price..... to $79. I find it funny that they got the price just above what I said I had paid before. Well I just got finished with my oil change and let me tell you how I felt like a Disney princess. You know the montages in all Disney princess movies where the fairy godmother and all the birds and forest animals are helping the princess look her best. Well, that's how I felt. I had a guy checking the oil, I had another guy checking tires, another guy oiling my doors and checking filters and then the main woman gathering my info. Stopped in after my "oil change" light came on in my car and my regular place didn't have time to take me for a few days. This is one of those drive up joints so I was taken in in less than 10 minutes. The fella who changed my oil was REALLY nice, very friendly and attentive, checking with me before he did anything to my car and chatting with me about this and that (unrelated to my car). I asked for a standard oil change and a check over of all my fluids and tires. He did all that very speedily and even did a thorough wash of all my windows and I was out of there in about 20 minutes. So, why 3 stars and not 4 or 5? The price. Despite the fact they were very nice and quick I was shocked to find I was charged $60 for the whole shebang. Considering my usual place is about $25-30 for the same quality of service I was floored. It's great that they can take you without an appointment but to pay $30 for convenience is a little absurd. Next time I'll be more on the ball and plan ahead to take it to my regular place but if you're in a bind and don't mind paying extra money, then by all means, make a stop here. read more

I've been to a number of places in town for an oil change and this was definitely the priciest. I brought a coupon and presented it when I pulled up but they evidently forgot to use it. I brought this up and they advised me to bring it next time. Unfortunately I'm not sure there will be a next time. The people were very friendly and nice but also quick to sell me additional services (which I got because I don't know enough about cars to know one way or another). I'm over it. Seriously. I cannot stand having to lose my car for a day since my job is field-based, the only time I can get an oil change is first thing in the morning or on the weekend. Either way, I like to get it out of the way in the morning. While the concept of Victory Lane is great, the execution is horrific. First, if I come here it is because of efficiency. It's because I want to drive in, get my oil changed, and drive out. I do not, I'm sorry, want to talk. Generally speaking I am working while here and yet there are numerous interruptions and usually for pointless things. I'm pretty specific when I go about what I want and don't want and since I come in quite a bit they practically know me. While I'm fine with the beginning and end chit chat, I don't want to constantly be interrupted to ask if I want things I already said I didn't. More annoying and the final straw? The fact that lately they have not been opening on time. If you have posted as your opening time "8 a.m." then you should open at 8 a.m. This is not the south. 8 a.m. means 8 a.m. But not at Victory Lane where 8 a.m. means anywhere up until about 8:40 even when there is someone sitting around inside of the office on the computer. And so, Victory Lane, I'm pretty sure we're breaking up. read more

I pulled in after my workout to get an oil change, since it was on my way home.... total time I was there about 20 minutes, spent $38 on the oil change... granted, I made their lives a lot easier, because I specifically told them what I wanted... they didn't have to check the air pressure, the filter, etc... only had to top off the liquids and change my oil... the guy was nice, but they do indeed chat up with you a lot.... read more

Stopped in on 11/19/18 for a first oil change for my 2018 Ford Escape SEL with 5,400 miles on it. Man who identified himself as the assistant manager handled the formalities and almost immediately started in on the "you need an engine flush" pressure sell job claiming car had very dirty oil caused by Auto-Start-Stop feature on this car. Held up a gallon ziplock with sample 'dirty fluid' that he just happened to have right there at the station. Oil was already being drained so I couldn't leave; pressure was on to 'do this now.' When I arrived home I emailed the dealership where I purchased the car, asked about the wear and tear of Auto-Start-Stop and described what had just happened. The response back from Ford was that the additional service I had just paid $70 for was not warranted for a new low-mileage vehicle. Embarrassed to say I bit, but this is my first new car in many years so of course I want to take proper care of it. Over the years I've dealt with other quick-change oil/lube chains and *never* had an experience like this. Suffice to say I will be taking my car somewhere else in the future. read more

The two gentlemen at Victory Lane that gave me an oil change and replaced a blown tail light on my Saab 9-5 were both very friendly and knowledgeable. Beyond this, they were more than willing to let me watch as they performed the oil change and replaced the light so that I could see how it was done and learn how to do it myself. The price was reasonable too, and they even replaced one of my blown lights at no cost! Couldn't ask for more, and will most likely come here again. Sorry... use to love the shop on stadium in Ann Arbor, mi. But my last visit changed my mind. Building is in bad condition and staff rude. Only one person in mask but insisted all drivers mask up in a 90 degree car. Never did get a receipt. Not going ever again read more

Ran one of my work trucks through here after the dash display started flashing "Change Oil". You stay in your vehicle, which is a good sign that it won't take too long. The woman who helped was very courteous, friendly and certainly had done this many times before. They look up your vehicle, tell you what it is going to cost, and do the service in about 10 minutes. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but compared to a dealer or mechanic where you wait forever it is a good deal. A 6-quart change of standard oil and complementary services was less than $45. No painful up-selling, all fluids and tire check and they even replaced missing valve caps. The woman offered to lube the doors too which is a great idea, but I keep 'em greasy. Her door hinge suggestion made me look at the door when I got out later, and I noticed a loose bolt, which I have no doubt she would have fixed for me. Just really great. Will be back, and will take all my vehicles here. It's just too easy. Thanks for getting greasy so I don't have to. read more

Went in for a battery check after mine died out on me couple of days ago. The guys running this place are awesome. The main mechanic, Angus, is very knowledgeable and really wants to help you get your car to be in tip top shape. Mine wasn't, so they even gave recommendations on what I need to get done. Their pricing seem to be a bit more affordable than most places like this. They're on a corner lot on Stadium and Liberty so getting in and out is a breeze. read more

Been going here for years with both my older cars. They are super quick and honest- I don't get unnecessarily up sold. They have made some meaningful maintenance recommendations. It's great to be able to swing by quickly for an oil top off, wiper fluid, and tire air. Prices are reasonable- There are ridiculously cheap oil change places out there but you certainly get what you pay for from quality and experience.
