For the price I would expect the things on the check list checked. Things that I noticed that weren't checked: tires, all lights, wipers, cabin air filter, air filter, didn't top off any fluids, didn't check my battery life. They were more into chatting about their personal drama then the ten min oil change. I've gone twice and there won't be a third visit. For the price, I'll go elsewhere.

I needed a loaner car. The actuality: First of all I'm not going to name any names because everything is a team effort and the team in the service department were all fantastic and exceptional. There is enough information in my post for the management there to identify who I am and who worked with me if needed. I was checked in quickly and my loaner was ready when I arrived just had to do some paperwork of course. That night my loaner had major issues, but by 0800 the next morning my loaner was swapped out like no problem. They had my truck for a couple days to check it out. I went to get my truck and was told everything was fixed and good to go (they confirmed the problem and repaired my truck!). I was in and out very quickly and at a very reasonable price for the service they provided. I ran my truck hard on the way back to my place and drove it normally trying to duplicate the issues I was having when I took it in. Everything worked perfectly and actually better than when I first got it. I paid about $400 for the repair on the AC initially, which didn't fix the problem. I took it back and was quoted and ADDITIONAL $1,500 to replace the compressor. (That would have made this an almost $2,000 air conditioning repair.) Industry average cost is less than half of what they quoted me. I took it to another professional and had it done for $500, where they found another issue with the AC that Phil's either never mentioned or never found. I brought up my gripe with Kris directly and was met with hostility. The shop wouldn't communicate via text or email and instead responded to my requests for explanation of costs only by phone or in person, which I assume is because Kris wanted twist words to spin the narrative. To quote him, "Don't you remember me saying x, y, z." It genuinely felt like I was being gas-lighted and manipulated into feeling "wrong" for questioning their pricing and being upset that they charged me $400 for something I didn't need. I would never send someone to Phil's Undercar after the experience I had there. I'd suggest you avoid them like COVID-19. (Which their staff didn't seem to be bothered by enough to wear masks, by the way!)

A young gentlemen came out to greet me, apologized for the wait, and told me which bay was opening soon. Really appreciated being informed! Got the usual full high mileage service & price I get elsewhere; so that tells me I'm not getting jyped. I overheard a conversation of service recovery in the bay next to me. Staff was very courteous, helpful, and understanding when a difficult situation came about. Professional and non confrontational. Thorough check of all lights and tires. Boss man came over and checked to see if I was doing good AND came to help his team. As a leader myself, I like seeing managers in the thick of it. Staff were also helpful to each other and respectful. Great communication. Sam was a great tech! Entire service took about 10-15 mins; which I'm not complaining about. He also checked the levels of my other fluids, checked my tire pressure, and didn't try to pull any surprise repairs or fast ones when it came to the oil change--which hasn't always been my experience in Ann Arbor. I walked in on a Saturday, and they quoted me 90 min to get things done. I'm not sure how long it actually took because I was working in the lobby and lost track of time. They don't have wifi back in the office yet. The service guy was nice, and he didn't try to push any unnecessary repairs. I did raise an eyebrow at the price of a little over $100 for the services. The price was higher than I expected, although I guess that is partially my fault for not asking how much it would be before I handed my keys over.
