I have not been to the Fontainebleau since it opened a year and a half ago. Deciding it was time to make a visit and see the hotel/casino, I looked at their website to pick a restaurant for breakfast. There were a couple of options. I chose Vida. I came down the elevator from the garage and it was only a few steps to Vida. It's in the South Lobby area. I lined up behind a couple for a table. One of the people at the desk asked if I wanted to sit at the bar. That was fine for me, and I went in and sat down. The bartender/server working the bar came and gave me a menu. He also asked if I wanted coffee and orange juice. Yes to both. I was poured a cup of hot coffee which helped wake me up a bit. I opted for the smoked ham and cheddar omelette which the menu describes as Vermont white cheddar, hashbrown, choice of toast. I ordered rye toast. Taking the time while waiting for breakfast, I took in the surroundings. The restaurant is very nice even elegant. It wasn't very busy, but the bar was a popular place as several more people came in a short time while i was there. Breakfast arrived and my coffee was refilled again. I had been sipping the orange juice during this time, also. The omelette was good tasting. The small squares of ham added to the overall flavor quite a bit. There was a round of hash browns and the plate had two small containers--one with butter and the other ketchup. The breakfast was quite pleasant and I enjoyed my visit to Vida. Located on the first floor at the Fontainebleau is Vida -- casual eatery with beautiful decor, where they offer breakfast and brunch items. The service was slow both mornings; however, our servers were kind and friendly. The food was good. I enjoyed a Smoked Ham and Cheese Omelette, as well as a Blueberry Lemon Croissant. The Cappuccino was good. If you have some time to spare, this is a nice spot to enjoy a morning breakfast. For food, I got the Steak and Eggs and it was cooked to my liking. The chimichurri sauce was a bit too heavy on the oil and needed more vinegar and herbs. I don't necessarily have an issie with that, but if the bar is busy, I don't think it would be the worst thing to give a two-top to one person. It also is definitely Vegas hotel pricing. One thing that surprised me was that my breakfast didn't come with bread, which felt a bit odd since you have to order it separately. The Pork Chilaquiles were the star of the show--the pork was incredibly flavorful and tender (not dry at all!), with a perfect spicy kick. We also tried the Steak and Eggs; while the steak was slightly overdone for my liking, the eggs and hash browns were cooked to perfection. Chimichurri was a nice addition for some more flavor. I was feeling sick and when i had asked him if i could cancel the salad and desert, he did so without any issues. He ended up getting me a shot of ginger apple juice refresher and some honey and lemon for my water to help with my throat and nausea. Came into this brunch spot today for the first time. The ambiance was amazing! The restaurant was clean and very well decorated, had a fresh scent as well which was nice. We had to wait like 15 minutes before anyone came over to take our order which was a little annoying to be honest. The girl who took our order finally (didn't catch her name) was thorough. The hazelnut latte was pretty good, I recommend it. I ordered the vida breakfast and it was okay, the pancakes were cooked perfectly the chicken apple sausage was really good too. The eggs were really gross, runny even though I asked for scrambled; like zero seasoning whatsoever on them. Major disappointment on the eggs. A breakfast at Vida was not how I wanted to start my BSB weekend but I had a FHR credit with my Amex card for staying at the hotel so I ended up here. A plate of eggs, 2 pancakes, a protein of your choice and a hash brown was $42! I asked for scrambled eggs and got runny liquid eggs that made me feel sick. The chicken sausage didn't taste good and the pancakes were ok. I think I expected more for $42. Service was non attentive. We were seated and it took a good while to get our food and our coffee was getting cold. When the server asked how our food was, we were honest and said we didn't like it. He didn't say anything, just asked for our room number and said we were done. I'll never come back again. read more

We came here a second time around because their menu has the variety we were looking for. We also love the casual but classy ambiance of this restaurant. It was full when we arrived. To be seated immediately, we opted the bar seating. Adrian, the bartender, took our orders. My hubby ordered pork chilaquiles and coffee. I ordered the shrimp pesto cavatelli pasta. I also ordered the hot chocolate which I remembered to be fantastic when I had it the day before. Hubby's order came within 15 minutes. He did not like his order very much. He said the pork was too salty. After about 30-35 minutes, my order had not arrived. When I told Adrian this, he profusely apologized. He was very busy attending to many patrons thus, he did not notice. I was getting quite hungry. He gave me another cup of the wonderful hot chocolate and told me that it and my shrimp pesto would be on the house. He thanked me for being so patient and said it was the least he could do. He was genuine in his effort to make it up to me. He was truly wonderful! My shrimp pesto came and I inhaled it. It was very good. I was starving. We ate lunch here the Monday we got to Vegas for a work meeting since it was the only place open and all I got a photo of was my espresso martini which was a 4/5! My friend ordered the smoked salmon and everything bagel, but asked for it without the bagel. The kitchen suggested cucumber as a base instead, and it turned out amazing--fresh, light, and really well done. Big points for creativity there. The service was the highlight. Bethany, our server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. I was very impressed with the way this restaurant conducts themselves. The staff was over the top kind and conversational. They were knowledgeable about the menu, atmosphere, and just Las Vegas in general. Food was memorable. The waygu burger was prepared heavenly and will always hold a place in our hearts. The melted cheese paired well with the marbled fat content of the meat. Fries were delicious as well. The pistachio french toast was good! It could have had more pistachio fluff in the center but was overall one of the most unique and well played french toasts i have had this decade. It is definitely worth stopping in to try! The ambiance was comforting. I felt comfortable being there. Everything was clean and as i said earlier, everyone was professional and great at their jobs. They are shareable unless you are super hungry. The service here is OUTSTANDING! Kudos to Miguel who was friendly and very patient, prompt and accomodating with our large group. This review is strictly about the service, because I was so pissed off that I walked out before even getting to try the food. I booked my reservation online, and it clearly gave me the option to preorder the Vida Pan Roast. I didn't preorder because I wanted to see what else was on the menu. When we arrived, the server asked if we had any questions. I asked him about the Pan Roast, and he looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. Then he said, "We don't have Pan Roast." I showed him my phone, and instead of helping, he questioned whether I booked the right location. So I double-checked and showed him again that my reservation was for **Fontainebleau Las Vegas**. He then gave me this irritated, condescending look--as if he was tired of repeating himself--and his tone basically said, "How many times do I have to tell you we do not have it?" He didn't bother to check with management, didn't offer any explanation, and didn't try to fix anything. He just told us to look at the rest of the menu and said he'd come back to take our order. At that point, I completely lost my appetite. The attitude and the lack of basic customer service were enough for me to walk out. Completely unacceptable. read more

Ate here for the first time a couple weeks ago. I wanted to write a review after I had some time to think about my less than positive experience. When we arrived we were told we would be seated shortly. Shortly evidently meant 10 min. Once we were sat down, the assistant to the server brought us our waters but then almost 10 min. passed and not a single server came by to greet us or at least let us know they were our server even though we saw several employees walk around us going to other tables. We saw other tables that were sat down after us be greeted and served. At that point I went up to a supervisor, who spent his time cleaning tables rather than keeping an eye out on the dining room floor to ensure things were running smoothly. Once I asked him who our server was, he said he would get the person. Another 3 min. went by until our server came to our table, but not after taking the order of another table that came after us. After we ordered, our food came in a decent amount of time. We ordered the chicken and waffles, and eggs Benedict. Both dishes were very good. Unfortunately after we were served our dishes by our server, we didn't see her again until she brought our check. While we were eating we ran out of our beverages, and I had to wave down the same supervisor for refills. He spent our entire meal cleaning tables, so unless their bussers wear suits, I don't think that should have been his main focus. I'm hoping this was a one-off experience. Our server needed way more training, and never once did anyone else come by to check on us or apologize for the poor service. read more

We had a rather large group for a birthday....I know it was probably one of the busiest weekends they ever had at this casino so I'm not sure if the restaurant was ready for such a big rush. Service was good but slow at times... Food was pretty good and we had reservations for about 10 people.... The place is nice inside and holds a good amount of people. When I say slow I feel like they night be a bit understaffed or unprepared for what was a really busy weekend. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes from the time we sat to getting our food. Don't get me wrong as mentioned the service was good and the staff tried to help along.....
