I've been here three times now, each time with a different group that wanted to check it out. Overall, it's been fine, but nothing has really wowed me. For a restaurant in such a beautiful and upscale hotel, I expected more. The drinks are good, the food is just average, and nothing really stands out or leaves a lasting impression. The one thing that's been consistently great is the service, it has always been excellent. Unfortunately, the food is pretty mediocre.

I have not been to the Fontainebleau since it opened a year and a half ago. Deciding it was time to make a visit and see the hotel/casino, I looked at their website to pick a restaurant for breakfast. There were a couple of options. I chose Vida. I came down the elevator from the garage and it was only a few steps to Vida. It's in the South Lobby area. I lined up behind a couple for a table. One of the people at the desk asked if I wanted to sit at the bar. That was fine for me, and I went in and sat down. The bartender/server working the bar came and gave me a menu. He also asked if I wanted coffee and orange juice. Yes to both. I was poured a cup of hot coffee which helped wake me up a bit. I opted for the smoked ham and cheddar omelette which the menu describes as Vermont white cheddar, hashbrown, choice of toast. I ordered rye toast. Taking the time while waiting for breakfast, I took in the surroundings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very nice even elegant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It wasn't very busy, but the bar was a popular place as several more people came in a short time while i was there. Breakfast arrived and my coffee was refilled again. I had been sipping the orange juice during this time, also. The omelette was good tasting. The small squares of ham added to the overall flavor quite a bit. There was a round of hash browns and the plate had two small containers--one with butter and the other ketchup. The breakfast was quite pleasant and I enjoyed my visit to Vida. Prices are Strip++.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Located on the first floor at the Fontainebleau is Vida -- casual eatery with beautiful decor, where they offer breakfast and brunch items.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was slow both mornings; however, our servers were kind and friendly. The food was good. I enjoyed a Smoked Ham and Cheese Omelette, as well as a Blueberry Lemon Croissant. The Cappuccino was good. If you have some time to spare, this is a nice spot to enjoy a morning breakfast. But if you're in a rush, I'd ask for the check as soon as they bring your items or eat elsewhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really beautiful atmosphere to start your day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

If looking for a good sit-down breakfast in the FontaineBleau, Vida has you covered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A couple things I would note, if you're by yourself, you will be asked to sit at the bar. I don't necessarily have an issie with that, but if the bar is busy, I don't think it would be the worst thing to give a two-top to one person.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It also is definitely Vegas hotel pricing. All that aside, I had a really nice breakfast of the greek omelet. The service was good, although I did feel bad for the bartender, since he had a packed bar and was by himself.

One of the restaurants in the Fountainebleau in Vegas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The breakfast here is pretty good and the vibe is posh and upscale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got a Bloody Mary and it was made well. For food, I got the Steak and Eggs and it was cooked to my liking. The chimichurri sauce was a bit too heavy on the oil and needed more vinegar and herbs. The service was really helpful though and attentive. Overall, a good spot if you're staying at this hotel.

I'd give this place 3 stars. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is nice, but the food is pretty average, honestly something I could make at home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came here with my wife and kids. We ordered two breakfast dishes and an avocado toast. The service was okay, nothing special. The staff were friendly, but that's about it, and the wait time for the food was a bit long. One thing that surprised me was that my breakfast didn't come with bread, which felt a bit odd since you have to order it separately. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that's pretty normal for Vegas.

After several more visits, I have to bump this up! Vida seems to have elevated from the horrible hostess situation - what a joy! The food has been consistent my last few visits, and service (mainly at the bar since I'm usually solo) is stellar!! Looking forward to more visits!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for a classic, high-energy Vegas breakfast that hits the spot without the stuffiness of fine dining, Vida at Fontainebleau is your go-to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the "All in Breakfast" You get the best of both worlds-eggs your way, crispy hashbrowns, your choice of breakfast meat (the applewood-smoked bacon is a winner), and a side of their famous fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes. James our server was excellent! And provided great recommendations.

This cafe is very good, but I liked the Omelet the day before at La Fontaine upstairs a little better. Service was great in both places and in both places we sat the at bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar here has TV's if you want to watch the game like we did.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices about the same: Omelet: $30 Fresh Squeezed OJ: $12 One Waffle: $20 Oatmeal: $20

Stopped by Vida at for breakfast and had a great experience overall. The Pork Chilaquiles were the star of the show--the pork was incredibly flavorful and tender (not dry at all!), with a perfect spicy kick. We also tried the Steak and Eggs; while the steak was slightly overdone for my liking, the eggs and hash browns were cooked to perfection. Chimichurri was a nice addition for some more flavor. What really stood out was the service. The staff was super attentive and kept our coffees refilled at just the right time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely a solid, high-energy spot to fuel up at the Fontainebleau.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We go here for breakfast whenever we're doing staycation at fontainebleau. Had a great meal with friends! The short rib loco moco is really good, comes with garlic rice & of course eggs & gravy. Their buttermilk chicken & waffle if also good! They also have steak and eggs. A lot of choices on their menu. Service wad fast and our server was nice, didnt get her name tho. There could be a long wait if you do not have a reservation. But you can always place an order to go if you don't want to wait, The place is nice with the bar in the middle of the restaurant. It's nice for family and big groups.

I came here with the intention of having a full course meal. They had the option of an app, main and dessert for $45. I wasn't feeling great but i knew i needed to eat. Dante was my server and he was absolutely wonderful. I got the chicken soup and it tasted really good, but i realized as i was eating it that i couldn't eat anything anymore. I was feeling sick and when i had asked him if i could cancel the salad and desert, he did so without any issues. He ended up getting me a shot of ginger apple juice refresher and some honey and lemon for my water to help with my throat and nausea. It was great, my friend and i ended up coming back and it was wonderful. Decor is beautiful and there was no music so it was nice and its very convenient being in the hotel. Loved the food but the service was wonderful.

All of this for $56 by the way. The cajun pasta I ordered last year was $40 ALONE and it was sooooo incredibly MID. Sure, it was only this price because we happened to pop in during happy hour, but still. I would gladly order a variety of different things I can pick at versus one mediocre dish. The wings, chicken tenders, and mozzarella cheese sticks were tasty. I'm not a chicken tender guy, but wow, these were actually really good! The sliders were fine. A bit dry, but other than that, definitely a solid "good." Service was excellent and same fun ambiance/experience as last time. Usually it's just to fly out of Las Vegas for a work trip. This time though, I was in area for the US Post office. Looking for nearby places to eat, I saw that Smoke & Fire was only 10 minutes away! My husband and I stopped by for dinner around 3:30 P.M on a Friday at Smoke & Fire. The restaurant is located near South Pecos Road and East Russell Road. There was plenty of parking spots available. As I walked inside the restaurant, a team member had greeted us and let us know that it was open seating. There were only a few other customers inside the restaurant at the time we had dinner. There was plenty of tables inside and outside the restaurant though! TVs were situated throughout the restaurant. There was a variety of sports games playing. When we sat at our table, the team member brought over menus and asked if we'd like anything to drink while we looked through the menu. She also went through any dietary restrictions and some of their highlights at the restaurant, specifically, Smoke & Fire is known for their blueberry chicken sandwich. There are other options on their menu though, like BBQ items! Meat platters: Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork, Brisket, Smoked Ribs, Hot Links, smoked Chicken Quarters. Sandwiches: Chicken Sandwiches, Brisket Sandwich, Donut Smashed Burger (Seasonal), Sliders Chicken and Waffles, Street Style Tacos, Chicken Tenders and more! After looking through the menu, we ultimately decided on the following 3 Meat Platter: Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork, and Brisket with Mac N Cheese/Sweet Potato Tots The World Famous Blueberry Chicken Sandwich: Pepper Jack Cheese, Housemade Blueberry Jam, blueberry aioli, and Jalapeno. The service was super quick. I don't think we waited longer than 10 minutes for our meal. It was nice that our meal was served in to go containers as well! The highlight of the meal was the blueberry chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and tender. The blueberry aioli and the jam was scrumptious. This was a first time having a sandwich like this before! I would come back to Smoke & Fire just to get the sandwich. The BBQ pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket was good. I enjoyed the mac n cheese and the sweet potato tots though! I don't normally see sweet potato tots so I just had to try it out! They were super crispy and packed with flavor. The food was yummy here and the service was fantastic! If I'm in the area again, I would stop by Smoke & Fire to have another meal. For two people, our bill came to $420, which set very high expectations. To make matters more disappointing, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, even though we were only a party of two. I didn't notice anything indicating that beforehand. Based on our experience, I felt the service was closer to 15% than 20%. The biggest issue was that almost every dish was overly salty. Oxtail Hummus - Probably our favorite dish. The hummus itself was flavorful and wasn't overly salty, but the naan was just okay. I was hoping for more texture with crispy edges. Bánh Cuốn - I appreciated the creativity of the dish, but the rice roll was surprisingly hard and chewy in the center when bánh cuốn should be soft throughout. The sauce was also very salty. Wood Fired Lumina Lamb - The lamb itself was good, but the nước chấm was extremely salty. Spanish Octopus - The octopus was cooked well, but again, it was overly salty. Snapper Tostada - Good, but nothing particularly memorable or unique flavor-wise. Rabbit Dan Dan Paccheri - I loved the perfectly al dente pasta, but the sausage was far too salty. Coal Roasted Dry-Aged Dorade - The crispy skin was excellent, but overall the dish didn't wow me. Oysters - The raw oysters had interesting flavors but leaned salty. The grilled oyster was my favorite of the oyster selections. The staff was genuinely friendly, and I appreciated that they were attentive about clearing and replacing our plates throughout the meal. However, the pacing of the meal really slowed down halfway through. We were there for almost two hours, and our dessert took at least 20 minutes to arrive. In fact, our check was brought to the table before our dessert, which felt odd. Las Vegas has an incredible dining scene with so many amazing restaurants. For a meal that cost $420 for two people, I expected something memorable. Instead, most of the dishes were overwhelmingly salty, the pacing was slow, and the overall experience simply didn't justify the price. I really wanted to love this place but I left feeling disappointed.

We ordered Esther's chopped salad, rigatoni carbonara, and one of the pizzas. The pizza was great, best thing that we ate. We also had a few beers and a few cocktails, drinks were good. The chopped salad was extremely salty, I even picked out the salami, but it was still super salty. The carbonara on the other hand, was very under-seasoned, it just felt like I was eating plain pasta. But it may have been the saltiness of the salad that made the pasta feel the opposite. We looked around and saw some other dishes that we thought we should have tried instead, I'd like to come back and give it another try.

The restaurant is open 24/7. One person had the sandwich/soup/salad lunch combination. This was a half turkey sandwich, a half salad with balsamic and lobster bisque. They really enjoyed it. I had the Kale and Warm Grains salad. It was an interesting combination (including farro, quinoa, dates) and was very tasty. Could have used a bit more dressing. I probably should have asked for some extra on the side. The third person had the Crispy Avocado salad. None of us had crispy avocado before (lightly coated avocado so that there was a crunch in the bite, but nice, soft, creamy avocado inside). Really good. The service was excellent. By Dawn, a very friendly, hard-working and efficient server.

Seating was quick, water refills infrequent, service checked in often until food dropped. Compatriots had ordered a double smash cheeseburger and a southwest chicken salad. I had gotten the slow roasted beets, and the house green salad. Nothing really wowed in this case. I'd say I like the fries and the slow roasted beets. The cream sauce balanced the beets well with occasional nuts for texture. The house green salad was more lettuce than anything else. The southwest chicken salad, the meat was a bit dry. Still was an easy meal and simple to plan around. Worked well in a pinch.

Drinks: FINE, YOU?: It's an Old Fashioned and it was delicious. PIPER'S CHOICE: My wife likes her Espresso Martini creamy and a little bit on the sweeter side. This has more of a stiffer espresso forward taste which kinda put her off. Apps: CRISPY CHICKEN SKINS: Fried chicken skin with honey dip? Who knew that would work!? My wife and I loved it. "DEVIL'S" EGG: First time trying caviar and I think it pairs pretty well. BACON BURGER: My daughter finished it I'd say she like it! Main Course: BACON BURGER: My daughter got this and it was a thumbs up. No notes. COCOA-ESPRESSO NY STRIP: Nice sear crust with a perfect medium-rare. Great flavor with no burnt after-taste from the crust. SHORT RIB STEAK: The meat itself is very tender but with the pepperoncini it got my head scratching . When I think of pepperoncini I'm thinking of Italian subs or pizza? Does it work? I guess? They put the check inside a softcover novel which is pretty cool. In the pages were notes/comment from patrons. Could't help myself and got in on the fun!

The waitstaff were dressed very casual, jeans and t-shirt casual. Although the food is upscale, everything else about this place seems very casual diner like. We could even see most of the work going on in the small kitchen. Mostly shareable plates... Our table chose the deviled eggs with caviar - these were a hit! Dynamite shrimp, most at the table liked these, they were spicy and the flavor was decent, but I just felt like the sauce made the breading a bit soggy and it wasn't a favorite of mine. Pork Belly - This had a buffalo sauce on it, which I wasn't too excited about at first, but it worked better than I expected. Wish it was just a little crispier but it was tender and I enjoyed it. Oxtail risotto - this one had mixed reviews from the table, I really enjoyed it. The flavor was good. There's only a small amount of meat and it's shredded into the risotto. Overall the consistency was a little weird, very thick and almost sticky/dry, plus the dark color. They had a steak on the menu and the flavor was great, one of the pricier menu items but it was a good share. My wife ordered a burger without the bun. She said the patty was well over-cooked and so it was pretty dry. They don't offer gluten-free buns or bread - bummer. The service was generally prompt, but seemed uncoordinated at times. For example, it seemed our waitress was also handling a very large party outside on the patio, and randomly the hostess would bring us a drink refill (hostess stand was right beside our table). That's good in a way, they are all a team, but she also picked up my plate and silverware after only the first appetizer - mind you they bring everything out as it's ready, so don't expect the whole table to eat together, you are expected to share! When I asked if she could replace my silverware, she grabbed a fork and knife and handed to me, but they weren't rolled in a napkin or anything, just barehanded me some silverware... anyway, I thought that was odd. Overall, the food had some bright spots and perhaps worth a lunch if you are downtown. I probably wouldn't seek it out again, but I'm not mad about the meal we had either.

The dining area and outdoor patio give a rustic country kitchen feel which suits their fresh seasonal ingredient filled menu. We have honestly never had a bad meal here. The food tends to disappear before we get to take pictures, sorry that's lacking. I've read the service here isn't good, but we've either been lucky or just have come on good days because we haven't had any issues. The only issue that is kind of a nonissue is that it gets busy fast, of the 3-4 times we've eaten here we've probably come 10 times and there was a loooong wait so we decided to go elsewhere. If you're in the area and want something delectable for lunch or dinner, I'd say yes stop in and enjoy yourself !

As always anytime I come here, I always have to get the bottomless mimosas and I love the blood orange and as usually it was perfect and my glass was never empty. For the table we shared the avocado toast (so good, we returned two days later to get it again). For myself, I got the hot honey butter chicken biscuit and it was delicious. On the second visit we did for the avocado toast, I also tried the espresso martini flights and I loved that you could taste the difference in all three. A must try if you're looking for a nice brunch, the only downside is the parking lot can get packed so be prepared for that.
