She is an artist and a very very talented one at that! In the last 19 years I have consistently received the most up to date advice for health and beauty and style of my hair. I trust Vida because of her expertise and professionalism. She consistently provides personal attention to each client. When it comes to color and highlights, I've never gone to anyone who is as knowledgeable as Vida. Being a perfectionist, she customizes each client's color individually. Vida calls out the color mixture to her assistant, as if it's a mathematical equation - 2% this, 6% that and 1/4 this and it's always perfect! She's not only a perfectionist with color but with haircuts as well. She's so meticulous and precise, she often reminds me to uncross my legs while she's cutting so I'm sitting straight in her chair. Best haircut of my life!! I have long hair and have always had trouble with what to do with it. I love the length, but it always just hangs there lifeless. My mom has been going to Vida for over a year now. She has always done a fabulous job on her short hair and highlights. I tried Vida tonight, and I am definitely converted! Yes, Vida is the owner and you can tell she has a hand in everything--isn't that what you want--an owner who cares about everything going on?!! The haircut took a little time, so be patient. It is more than worth the wait when you see the finished product. Vida is very knowledgeable, and I feel she is an expert in hair. I have been going to Vida for 23 years. I have NEVER had a bad haircut nor color. I always get compliments on my color. I have very very very bad, straight, thin, limp hair and she makes it look fabulous. She will always ask " What are we doing today" (regarding my haircut) I have no problem saying "What do you think?" If she suggests something I will always yield to her judgement. I have been going to vidas salon every week for 30 years. Jessica does my relaxer and does an outstanding job! I get color every 4 weeks and the expertise and knowledge of color is perfection. The salon is beautiful and clean and a pleasure to go to. It is conveniently located and easy to get in and out of. The stylists are all friendly and well trained. They are educated on the newest and best products as well as style of hair by going to continuing education seminars. I have been going to Vida's Salon for over seventeen years and every week at least once a week and sometimes more often someone will stop me out in public to say that my hair cut is really cute or that my hair is such a beautiful color.
