So freaken disappointed Sent my boyfriend to get a haircut here. They gave me an appointment with Margarita. He told her specifically to cut the bangs, eyebrow length. With layers all around and no more than ¼" cut all around. Charged him $45 for a males haircut which is expensive. Took her 38 mins I was on the phone with him the whole time. My boyfriend has silky straight hair with light skater curls at the ends. So it should have been an easy haircut. Basically what we got was 1/2" cut above the eyebrows for the bangs. " cut around his neck. ¼ of an inch cut around his ears. Looks like a mix of a bowl cut/mullet Extremely disappointed. sooo!!! I was at a different salon before finding vida, and my hair had a lot of red in it and it made me super uncomfortable and actually made me feel so bad! When I called the salon, Adrianna ensured me that she would take care of me and got me an appointment the very next day! When I got there she took amazing care of me! I have such a busy schedule which limits the amount of time I have to get regular haircuts. I called Vida Salon on a Saturday evening and asked if they open on Sundays. Adriana said they are closed but she would accommodate me and see me at the time that worked best for me. This is what I call costumer service!!! If I could give no stars I would.. normally o don't write bad reviews but I just couldn't take how upset I am. I came to coda last week for a trim and a little face framing cut my appoint was at 2 the girl Edith or Eve I forgot but she didn't even know I had an appointment with her so she gave me a hair treatment since I had to wait. I was sitting in the wash booth with the treatment in my hair for an hour then she finally got to me she did a horrible job framing my face it's more like she gave me long bangs then she cut more hair off from my right side so the hair that falls in front of my shoulders is long on the left n short on the right. She told me she was going to blend the back of my hair with what she did in the front and gave me some type of layers which are extremely blunt and do not blend at all it looks like I allowed a 3 year old to cut my hair on top of that I was charged 60. 60 for a horrible job is just beyond me I had to come to another salon in hopes to fix the mess without having to cut into my length read more

Left here extremely disappointed and upset and I didn't even get my hair done. This was my first visit and I was so hopeful after all the great reviews but I didn't even make it past the waiting area. I made an appointment on Monday for a cut and color with Aiyana at 12:30 , I showed up for my appointment right on time and stood at the front desk ungreeted for about five or six minutes. Which I can understand because they were all working. Finally a stylist acknowledges me and asks if I've been helped to which I say no, and he tells me to take a seat and they'll be right with me. A girl finally comes to the front and sits at the desk and doesn't greet me so after another ten minutes I go up to check myself in. She tells me my stylist is just running a few minutes behind (which is fine) and she should be with my shortly. Aiyana approaches me if I had booked just a cut, or a cut and color and tells me they only booked me for a cut. Now thirty minutes after my appointment time the receptionist tells me I can either rebook and come another day, or just get a haircut today because that's all she had time for. No effort was put into finding a solution, I would have been fine with anyone doing my hair since it was my first visit but that wasn't even made an option to me. I felt more like a nuisance than a guest and left extremely upset with the lack of hospitality and kindness from the staff. read more

Been dying to go to a salon since the lockdown! I was yelping around this area for a salon and I came across Vida Salon- Alfred. I contacted him and got a response right away. He made it easy for me to choose him while other salons took forever to respond. I was able to book right away which was super convenient. Usually with new stylists (as it was my first time seeing Alfred) it's a hit or a miss. I'm glad that this time it was a hit! He got rid of my quarantine hair and I left pleasantly surprised with my new cut and color! He paid a lot of attention to detail when cutting my hair and made sure I got an even length. I have been traumatized time and over before with hair cuts so I rarely get my hair cut (usually once or twice per 2 years) but I can trust Alfred now that he cut my hair with precision, even my boyfriend commented on how nice the cut was. Color & cut took about an hour and a half which also was a lot faster than I thought it'd take and he used quality products such as Olaplex which I love. Price wasn't bad at all either (competitive). Will be visiting soon again for treatment. Highly recommend Alfred if you're unsure, just go with him! read more

This is my second time going to this salon. I wasn't really impressed by my first experience and the high price, so I didn't think I would go back. The location is convenient for me though and I noticed a lot of good reviews for Alfred. So I decided to try this place again. I was lucky and got an appointment right away due to a cancellation. 4 stars to the salon for responding to me quickly and the friendly girl at the front who checked me in. 5 stars to Alfred for his pleasant demeanor, answering my questions with thoughtful advice, and of course a great haircut. His knowledge and experience really show. I'm not from this area originally but have been here for a few years now. It's a relief to finally find someone who I want to go back to! I got my haircut yesterday by Peter Quintana at this salon and he did an amazing job. I actually followed him from another place that he used to work at because I loved how he cut my hair. I brought in a picture and he was able to make it work in a way that would be more flattering with my face shape. He is very detailed and takes his time so that your cut comes out beautifully. He is also very friendly, warm, and personable. I honestly don't know why anybody would leave a negative review about him because he really does do an awesome job with cutting hair. I had no idea that this Salon was here until the other day in panic as the Chi Spiral curling iron grabbed my hair as well as the ponytail extensions and burned and ripped of the upper crown of the back of my hair. I almost died when I seen it. I immediately called and it was at 7:30 pm and Adriana the owner was about to leave but was so nice to wait for me. I went down there and she had to put layers in the back of my hair which my hair is in a short Bob but was all one length, straight as a bone and thinner hair so layers usually don't work well in my hair as no one can ever do it right. This was the first time I came to this stylist so I was surprised she didnt ask me about the color or what I was looking for, she just mixed color and applied it with the largest brush I have ever seen. We waited 20 minutes, she washed and dried my hair. I noticed the top of the hair no longer matched the bottom. 2 weeks later i started getting the grey again, but now I had the light brown on top, dark brown on bottom and grey. I found Vida Salon and Alfred after I made the big mistake of trying to go cheap on my hair and "cheating" on my regular stylist. I was honestly too embarrassed to go back to her and let her see the bad job they did on my roots so I turned to ol' trusty yelp! Yelp definitely did not disappoint. Here I found Alfred amid 5 star reviews, and thus very unhappy with the results of my failed attempt at being thrifty I contacted him right away. He replied promptly and gave me an appointment. When I went in I had more than just the bad job on my roots (just my roots thank GOD story for another day), my hair had been falling out mercilessly which I believed was from my bad dye job. However when I talked to Alfred about my concern and he noticed the pattern of my hairloss he ruled that out and help me figure out what the cause was. He gave me a nice fresh cut to help mask the massive amount of hairloss and tips on how to style it afterwards. I am going back for my color and will update after that. read more
