Thanks to the care and professionalism of the people at Video Cam Repair, my camera was quickly repaired and returned to me... as promised and I am quite satisfied. Thank you! DQ

BUYER BEWARE!! VERY DISHONEST!! I requested an estimate and was very specific about the issues on my GoPro 5 Black. -- Estimate was $109 Once they recieved camera they responded by infoming me of the issues which I was already aware of and the repair cost would be $218 not $109. When I informed them I might as well get new camera they then wanted me to give them my GoPro to recyle. I declined and requested camera be returned. The charge I was told would be $15. But I was given the option to provide my own label when I expressed dissatifaction with price. They informed me they "Do not use Priority Flat Rate Boxes". ($8.45) I was then given false dimensions and weight and purchased A Priority Label at $13.90 I think you know where this is going. My camera arrives in a recyled Priorty Mail Flat Rate Box (Originally sent to Art K the owner from David S. in Statesville NC) I sure hope David S. from Statesville NC had a better experience with Video Cam Repair than I did.

Work done well and in a timely fashion - just a bit pricey, but cheaper than buying a refurbished cam.

When we came to pick up the iPad, the screen looked absolutely pristine, but it started doing some weird things on its own. Harry was immediately super apologetic and insisted on keeping it to make things right. Since it was close to closing time, I fully expected to come back the next day -- but within about 30 minutes, Harry called to let us know he had fixed the issue and everything was working perfectly again! This level of customer service is hard to find. Harry has actually repaired several of our teenagers' devices over the years, and every experience has been great. We'll absolutely continue coming back in the future. Very, very happy with our service. Thank you so much, Harry!

I genuinely hope this individual no longer works here and that it was just a one-off bad worker--unless, of course, he is actually the owner of the establishment. Either way, the experience was so terrible I feel compelled to share it. I called this shop multiple times beforehand to get a quote for a cracked screen repair. The technician assured me it could be fixed and recommended going with the aftermarket glass. After assessing it in person, he confirmed the plan, took the phone, and told me it would take about an 1-2 hours. When I returned, the phone was completely taken apart. Suddenly, the story changed. He claimed the back case also needed to be replaced to fit the new screen--something he specifically assured me wasn't necessary before he started. He also said that there was something wrong with the front facing camera, which it didn't before I gave it to him. He quoted a new price for the extra work that almost equaled the cost of a brand-new phone. Because the extra cost didn't make sense, I told him to just put the phone back together, offer a fair price for his time, and I'd just buy a new phone instead. (The phone was fully functional before this; it literally just had a cracked glass). He completely refused to reassemble the phone unless I paid for both the new rear case and the glass. He basically held my device hostage, forcing me into a costly repair under his terms, or forcing me to walk out with a completely disassembled, non-functional phone. I felt backed into a corner and had no choice but to pay. Unprofessional, dishonest, and predatory business practices. Avoid at all costs.

She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Since I arrived close to closing time and didn't have an appointment, she let me know they would run diagnostics on my laptop the following day. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off. I highly recommend Di-No for honest and fast service!

I previously had a great Mac repair experience at this mostly Apple-focused store, so when my…read morechild's gaming laptop failed, I brought it to the Microsoft counter at the back of the store. I paid the $89 diagnostic fee and understood that it would be applied toward the repair cost if I moved forward with the repair. That policy is completely reasonable. After diagnosing the issue as a failed motherboard, however, I was told they could not obtain the necessary Asus part and therefore could not perform the repair. I later learned that an authorized repair provider could obtain the part and complete the repair. My frustration is not that they charged for diagnostic time. My frustration is that no one mentioned before taking my money that they might not be able to source Asus parts or complete the repair. Had I known that, I would have taken the computer directly to an authorized repair provider. The laptop is currently being repaired by Geek Squad. I intentionally support small local businesses, and Di-No is close to my home, so it seemed like a win-win. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When I asked whether a refund was possible given that the repair could not be performed, I was told no. Consumers should know there is a possibility they may pay for a diagnosis, only to discover that the shop cannot complete the repair and that they will need to start over elsewhere.

He took my computer for a spell, and returned it sooner than scheduled, better than ever.... Can't say enough about their service and high quality workmanship! Looks like they do almost everything under the sun including, but not limited to: game consul repair, specialty gaming computer builds, 3D printers, and laptop revitalization. They share the space with Di-No, a long established Pasadena-area Apple dealer and support specialist with capabilities seemingly beyond that of any Apple store I've been to. (Faster service too) See Di-No for your Apple needs (like my wife does) and if you need your PC worked on, go find Pisa with MicroConsultants. Be sure to meet his puppy who stays in the workshop with him most days; this little pooch is like an Ewok crossed with Gizmo the Gremlin. Adorable!

I would not trust this place to repair anything…read more I rarely ever write reviews. I brought in my MacBook after it suddenly died with a noticeable burning smell. I specifically told them there was an electrical burning odor because I was concerned it was more than just a screen issue. I was assured that replacing the display would fix the problem, so they ordered the part and proceeded with the repair. After waiting for the part to arrive, they then told me the new screen didn't fix anything and that the logic board was actually damaged. In other words, after confidently telling me what the problem was, they ended up confirming what I had been worried about from the beginning. To make matters worse, they refunded the screen repair but still charged me a very expensive diagnostic fee...even though the diagnosis they gave me was wrong. Paying a premium diagnostic fee for an incorrect diagnosis is hard to justify. Unfortunately, the experience got even worse when I picked up my laptop. The customer service was incredibly poor. About 35 minutes after I left, they called to tell me they had forgotten to give me my charger. This happened on a Friday around 5:15 PM. They closed at 6:30 PM and were closed all weekend. I needed that charger immediately because I had to work using the laptop with an external monitor, which only works while plugged in. I explained the situation and even suggested they send it to me with an Uber Courier so I could keep working. Their response? "There's nothing we can do. We can hold it until Monday." No apology. No effort to make it right. No reimbursement. No ownership of their mistake. Because of their negligence, I had to scramble to find someone else to drive across town before they closed just to pick up the charger they forgot to give me. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business responds when they make them. In my experience, this shop took no responsibility, showed no urgency, and offered terrible customer service from start to finish. I won't be returning, and I cannot recommend trusting them with an expensive device.
