We needed two TVs and so we did research (Best Buy, Costco, Amazon) and decided to go to Video Only to check them out since we had never been there, but heard the ads everywhere. The reason we went to the VO store is because TVs have changed so much (and are constantly changing) and we wanted to chat with someone knowledgable about TVs. Granted each seller has their own preferred TV brands that they sell, but it was great to chat with someone about the brands, types, sizes and comparisons. At the Salem Lancaster Video Only store that person is Doug. He was SUPER knowledgable about the TVs and the different types and amenitites on each. He scrolled through the competition prices on line with me and explained in detail how Video Only sell their TVs, pricing and warranties, etc. He was extremely detailed so that everything was clear. Once we decided to go with the TVs at Video Only (two different brands), he gave me extremely valuable tips for setting up our TVs at home and was just an amazingly personable, professional employee. I even called him ON LABOR DAY when I was having trouble setting up one TV and he was there and told me what to do. It worked flawlessly. Doug at Video Only has made me a believer. Ok so I bought a plasma tv here back in like 2005, I moved away intel recently. I gave that tv to family when I moved and it is still working today. So my current tv is a led panel tv that is having issues after moving across the country and back so time to shop. Well I wanted to try video only. Cause they treated me good so many years ago. So after about 3-4 months of shop here and there I made it to the store and I bought a tv a few days later. I live in Albany so I was able to do the transaction over the phone. Which made it very nice for me. I talked to a sales man in the store and a manager on the phone. Both times dealing with them were great lots of knowledge and kindness. No high pressure no tricks. I am super happy with Video only for a second time with so many years apart and two different locations now. Good for you video only for making tv buying easy. We got an excellent deal on a high-end Samsung TV. Better than Best Buy or Amazon. Plus Lucas was super friendly and knowledgeable both over the phone and in person. The salesmen at Video Only were extremely helpful. My grandfather's TV went out and he hand't shopped for a TV in 10+ years. The manager took care of us personally. My grandfather loved his plasma TV and was concerned when we were told that plasma has been phased out of the market, the manager showed us the newest TVs that were better than plasma ever was, gave us options and showed us examples. This is where he went above and beyond. He went to Costco's and Best Buy's websites with us and showed us his competitor's prices. He offered us a big discount from the listed price, extended the return policy, reduced the price of an extended warranty and when he learned that my grandparents lived out of town, he personally delivered the TV because he lived in the same town. This is the kind of personal service that you get from shopping local. Great experience and I will definitely go back and recommend it to everybody that will listen! read more

Just be warned: Once the salesmen know you're going to buy a T.V., they stop trying. After being approved for $2,000 worth of credit, we were promptly ignored. Well, except for the guy who tried to convince us to buy 10 more inches of TV (at a cost of $600 extra) because "...consumer rating says you should..." It's an ok place for price and attention (with the above exception) and they have a good selection. I'm not sure how big this company is, but if it means not giving my money to Best Buy, then I'm all in! read more

We had a devastating house fire in January 2017. We lost every electronic item in our house. I went to the Salem Oregon video Only in June 2017 to take a look at various televisions and home theater systems. It's important to know the difference between the manufacturer of electronic devices and the seller of electronic devices. The manufacturer stands behind the product and the seller stands behind the sale. It was my experience that Video Only stood behind me the entire time when we had a problem with a Sony 940D 75 inch television. Lucas and Doug at the Salem store went out of their way to help me when we had a problem with our television. Sony stood behind the product of replacing our television but Video Only stood behind the sale by offering to refund our money to put towards a different television in their store. That's true customer service. I was surprised to find as many negative reviews on Video Only as I did. My experience with them has been very positive. Everyone has their own experience. My experience at least with the Salem store has been superb. I will definitely shop here again and recommend them to my friends. read more

I bought a 65 inch Samsung tv, Samsung sound bar and tv stand. The tv was $100 less than Walmart + Cotsco, I believe salesman was Lucas, bought on 11/12/2020. I felt he was very honest, explained price levels, would definitely consider Salem(Lancaster) Oregon location again, very small store but plenty of tv's, and he was very helpful to my 80 yr old mother even though she only bought a tv stand. Went into buy a sound bar for TV picked one out salesman went to get the box but instead went around the corner to help someone else completely ignored me never got the sound bar. After almost 15 years, my rear-projection Samsung DLP finally quit on me, and I was forced to navigate the waters of new technology since I haven't shopped for a TV in so many years. Boy was it daunting! I did as much research as I could online, then hit up Video Only. The sales rep Andrew was so nice and helpful, patiently explaining to me the differences in technology. I had to ask him to "dumb it down" a bit since my head was swimming, and he did so without making me feel stupid, which was really nice. I never felt pressured to buy either, which was a huge plus to me. I left the store for an appointment and a stop at Best Buy for more advice and comparison. Let me just say that Video Only customer service was SO MUCH BETTER than my experience at Best Buy. I will always choose to shop locally if possible, and I am glad I gave Video Only a chance. I returned to their store and picked up a sweet 55" Samsung QLED for $150 cheaper than it was selling at Best Buy. The sales manager, Lucas, even delivered it to my home the same day, set it all up for me, and even hauled away the old giant DLP. It was such a smooth process, and everyone I dealt with was outstanding. I will definitely come here when I want to upgrade my receiver, and I highly recommend them to anyone! read more

Nothing in the world will make me buy there again. After considering buying a brand of TV on sale but not one we were familiar with, we were assured multiple times about a no problem return even beyond the 30 days and they'd help us out, and just swap things out or even give us an upgrade if they didn't have our model. It turned out to be a complete lie, they refuse to honor their promise and say we "must have misheard it". Fool me once... Why buy from a store you can't trust? read more

I was in the market for a new AV receiver and was getting ready to pull the trigger on a new Denon AVR-X4300H on Amazon when I decided to see if Video Only had one in stock. They did, and their price was $50 less than Amazon. After more thinking, I decided that I could live with the next unit down and save $150. The salesman, Andrew, was able to split the difference, so I got the X4300H for $75 over the cost of the X3300W. Hadn't bought a TV in 7 years, so he spend an hour making sure I understood what today's technology had to offer and the differences from one model year to the next. He even went over the high points again when I brought my wife back later in the day to see the best options. The home delivery installer was equally gracious and prompt.
