These…read moreapartments are absolutely gorgeous me and my husband moved from San Diego to Dallas and these apartments were the first ones on our list out of five... we went around 9 o'clock pm just to see the neighborhood and people were riding their bikes around the lake and when we drove into the complex there was a lady walking her dog, she was super friendly and assured us this is the place to move...we had a chance to visit 3 other apartments on the list and none even compared to white rock villas.... Next day we went to the leasing office and Deanne was super friendly and provided us with refreshments... we gave her an idea on what type of apartment we were interested in, she had a couple apartments for us to view. She was able to help us find the best apartment based on our criteria... the application process went smooth, we didn't have to jump through Hula hoops.... We we wanted to start the lease about a month and a 1/2 from our application and was able to do so... We signed the lease for MAY 9 2020 when me and my Husband arrived back in Dallas from San Diego Deanne and Shelley made the transition so smooth from the time we applied in March all the way to move in date... everything in the apartment was spotless and working properly... So grateful to have Deanne and Shelley working in the office... Even with COVID-19 happening they made sure our transition was smooth and made our safety a priority... Pros: Gated community Nice Neighborhood Chic-Fila and Sonic walking distance!! (My fav) open parking with plenty of spaces Large pool Community garden Dog park Private garages All the residents are friendly and speak Indoor basketball/tennis court Drive up mail pick up Walls are thick little to NO noise from neighbors Private access to the lake A bottle of wine upon move in ! I wanted to be near White Rock Lake, wanted a 1st floor unit with an attached garage and someplace that had nice amenities. My apartment was immaculate when I moved in. Updated cabinets and granite counter-tops, crown molding, wooden shutters, ceiling fans, etc. There is even a "virtual concierge" now so you can pick up your packages even when the office is closed. Love that is VERY dog friendly - and have met some really nice new friends via walking our dogs. The property is very well maintained, and any maintenance request I turn in is acknowledge within 24 hours, and then we set up a time that works for both of us. The maintenance crew is excellent. The ladies in the leasing office have been wonderful to work with. I just renewed for another 13 months!

The location is fantastic, with a rear entrance opening to the Katy Trail and I walk everywhere. So much within a 10 minute walk. Lately, the tenor of the building has changed. New management is disengaged, unavailable and doesn't seem to understand concerns of residents. Elevators are constantly down. The current "remodel" of the leasing elevator lasted for more than 4 weeks. The same daily update of "we have no updates" or "we are waiting on parts" desn't help. The units are in need of updates and aren't worth the current rent. Parking is a pain, about a 10 step process for guests and boot happy in the resident area. The justification is safety and access for residents, but that doesn't resonate with me. I'd leave a one star review, were it not for Mario and his assistant maintenance manager. I've never had a more helpful, responsive maintenance manager in any building I've lived in. Mario jumps on every ticket I've submitted. He is currently the redeeming character of the property. Bottom line, I've found newer/more updated units in the same area for about the same rent. Sorry to have to write a 2-star review after having had a great early experience. Would not recommend the property at this point. Update the apartments, FIX the elevators rather than just repair when they break, and get back to the resident-centered management.

I kid you not the manager told me that my neighbors would read my review and that I have to live around these people. What the actual????? Management (and Services) has always been attentive, responsive, and courteous. The rooftop pool has the best view in all of Downtown Dallas, and the proximity to great restaurants in the West End, Downtown, and Victory Park cannot be beat. The first floor business center is so good, I refuse to go my office unless specifically told to do so. The gym also has a view that unbelievable, since it is on the roof as well. Security has improved (not that it was bad, but it is better now!), in the building as well as the neighborhood. There is a CARES team on site (not too sure what it stands for), but the couple does an excellent job of organizing different events on and off site for residents to meet, mix, and mingle. I am not going anywhere anytime soon...

Takes days to get them to clean it up. We're in the height of summer and none of the grills have worked for about six weeks. Glass in the pool every other week. Refuse to hire more security despite constant thefts, fights, full blown assaults, etc. They are going to get sued. That DART/Bus Station right next door has allllll sorts of really interesting neighbors you'll have to deal with. The security they do have are literally geriatrics. Actually 65 years old at least if not older. Its incredible. No one listens to them. The other security guard is about 20. People tried to fight him this last weekend when he told them the pool was closed. Think youre going to be enjoying that beautiful pool on the roof during the summer? Nooooope. You will have to fight all the shitty teenagers and gangbangers that sneak in. So bring a mouthguard. Enjoy all the awful music they blast too. Want to know why this place is slightly cheaper than other places? Because its awful and in a dangerous neighborhood.

Maintenance has always been awful for me in the past but it is SO EASY and QUICK here at Harvest. I appreciate that so much. I feel cared for and acknowledged as a resident and that's exactly what I was looking for. Harvest is located in such a beautiful area (literally right next to Farmer's Market and the Food Hall) so when you want to bring friends around, there is always a fun place to hang on the weekends. The neighbors here are quiet but sweet and they all have such cute dogs!!! In terms of parking, the garage is so convenient for me and for any guests who come over. The apartment space is beautiful. I got a one-bedroom and I can truly say I have been the happiest in my life here in Dallas! I love it so much, I'm staying here another year before I head back to NYC! I've never had apartment staff be so helpful/caring and I've lived all over Texas. The building was literally ALWAYS being updated which was amazing - they installed new automatic door locks and my appliances were all changed to new appliances! They re-did the entrance too and other updates that looked great. They have two 24/7 gyms and a pool, which is a big reason I wanted to live there. The units are luxurious with big windows which I loved. When I was on Zoom for work everyone would always complement my apartment. No carpet which was amazing for me personally. The location can't be beat - the streets are beautiful and remind me of being in Europe with lots of trees, parks nearby and restaurants/shops/the trolly/nightlife. I never drove. Avoid like the plague! BUGS, CRACKHEADS, BROKEN GATES & KEYPADS. After notifying management of…read morerecurring issues, they either claim they have no awareness of the issue, claim the issue does not exist even after receiving multiple photos/videos, or just ignore residents completely. Aly and Akira are the definition of unprofessional. I've always paid my bills on time and in full, never had another resident complain about me, never caused issues. Aly and Akira STOLE my car today from the resident garage by having it illegally towed this afternoon. There are reserved spaces but I've lived here two years and obviously know where to park. This level of pettiness and unnecessary retaliation for simply asking property staff to do their jobs and maintain the property is unheard of. Rather than do their actual jobs, they took time from their work day to try to make my life harder. DO NOT MOVE HERE. The gates and keypads work on a whim. Hopefully they work when crackheads attempt to follow you into the building. We're right off 75 and theres a nearby Chevron and McDonald's where they all hangout and then walk to our pool and sleep there because again management doesn't care about gates or property security. So I've come out at night or early in the morning to walk my dog and see them in/around the property. They used to mop the floors every day two years ago when I moved in. Now I rarely see the housekeeping staff around the property. Recently I have seen 5 bugs in my VERY clean apartment. It is not bug season... They've recently altered my access to hot water. So when I first moved in, I could do a shower/full shave in ~25 mins. Now I get tops 15 mins before it goes icy. Any time I try to use the bathtub, even though I keep it very clean, I cannot take a bath because the drain stopper does not work. It allows whatever disgusting grime is in the pipes to float up and into the bath water. Appliances constantly break and/or work poorly. I've had to have my fridge and dishwasher replaced and only lived here two years. There was a freeze a few weeks ago and my neighbor had a pipe burst. At first they thought it was my unit but of course later confirmed it was not. Again because I never do anything wrong. However, a few days ago my bedroom carpet became damp and it turns out there is a leak in the stairwell also ruining the carpet in my bedroom. They just shut off water for the entire building on Friday supposedly to do "maintenance" - well then why is it Tuesday and we now have fans that have to sit in my room for the next two days. Apartment staff likely knew of this issue and chose to do nothing until I submitted a maintenance ticket. Now that they're aware of the issue, they're refusing to cover any damages to my property - this includes my bed frame which is cloth lined and absorbed water from the carpet. They want my renters insurance to cover that. SO LAZY AND DISRESPECTFUL. Why would my insurance cover anything when the damage was done because the building is poorly maintained? I found a new place in the oak lawn area and can't wait to move out this month!
