I gave them a shot and I was impressed!! I called Santiago last week and told me to bring in my Tesla first thing Monday morning at nine. I have a power 12inch subwoofer that's need to be installed. Brought my own cables and all. He recommended to use his power cables which I did the ones i bought was from Amazon was the cheapies wire made from aluminum. Santiago. Uses pure stranded copper the good quality. I brought my comfy Folding chair because I know it'll be a 3 hrs install. No rush I want it clean as possible which it was. I was very happy how it turned out special on the Tesla !!! The power sub fits perfectly in my trunk cubby. Even with the cubby closed I still feel the bass and I was impressed. This store is great! They do just about anything you need. My latest visit involved finding a leak coming through my roof rack and third brake light along with fixing some old wiring on my aftermarket amp/stereo. They spent 2 days thoroughly taking apart my whole truck to make sure they found the leak by inspecting everything and not just guessing. Tony is the one who worked on my truck and he is a great guy. I even came back after everything to get a few things adjusted and they took my truck in right away to make sure everything was dialed in. Very disappointed with their customer service or lack thereof. I asked to run power wires from battery to back of my vehicle for a ham radio. They said they've done it before and went ahead to have them do it. When done, I was surprised they only run one (1) wire; just the positive wire. The tech them told me to just find a ground on the chassis! I figured they know what they were doing so I left, however, puzzled. I install my radio and am getting unacceptable resistance such that I am getting -1.2V drop shutting down the radio. I checked with other installers and they said they would run the negative wire direct from the battery. So I contacted Santiago to see if he can help but refused to fix the issue. He said I needed to specify that I wanted two wires for positive and negative and would charge me again for running the proper wire for the negative terminal. That would cost me another $100. What a disappointment. read more

My 1994 Range Rover has plenty of quirks and some of that old-Range-Rover-ness caused a snag the first effort. I had a push button start in my truck that the previous owner installed (HORRIBLY) and it failed. All the wires simply just came disconnected when I took the kick panel off underneath the dash. I looked at doing it myself but it was just a rats nest of wires and a cut ignition harnesses and everything. Inquired about possible repair on an older car radio from a jeep restoration. Mark told me to drop it off and they sent it out." 3 weeks later with no updates, I asked that it just be returned and Id go elsewhere. After another week of nothing they finally got it back. When I returned home, I noticed that the shaft had been broken off at the tip and was bent. I called Santiago who had no knowledge of it. Pics I had taken just before dropping it off show that wasn't the case. This is a rare hard to find radio, but at the end of the day, if they or their "repair source" had just owned up to it, we could have worked something out. These guys are the best! As a few months back I had them install a touchscreen and steering wheel button controlled, JVC stereo with backup camera and Android Auto, making my 08 Solara convertible very updated! So last week I had them install an alarm system they carry that has proximity sensors built in. So when you approach the car with the key fob in your pocket or purse the doors automatically unlock, and when you walk away the doors automatically lock and turn on the alarm. I can now also remote start the car and pop the trunk. This makes my vehicle have all the bells and whistles of a brand new car and more! So I recommend these guys highly! read more

I bought an old Mercedes (2003) to use as my daily driver. The car had a CD changer unit, FM/AM radio and a cassette deck from the factory. So I decided to take it in to Santiago for a recommended unit. He suggested a Pioneer fullscreen unit that would be linked into the original MB steering wheel phone communications. I did some research and to update just the phone through Mercedes Benz is over $1,000. So I took it into Santiago, and for a few hundred dollars more, I now have full bluetooth integration, A reversing camera that wasn't even available on the car, HD Radio, iPhone integration with google maps (so I now have full nav that's better than the MB unit), Sirius Radio, SDHC slot for over 300 albums. And best of all, the face plate comes off of the head unit so I can take it off to deter thieves from breaking into the car. The whole process was painless and the team at Viejo Auto Stereo did exactly as they promised. I'm so impressed I'm going to get them to replace the head unit in two other cars in the family. Had them install an Amplifier in my car, the install was fine. The one problem I had was that they decided to install the amp in my trunk while it was raining/sprinkling outside. Three hours for an hour install. They wanted $40 to plug in new back up camera with my stereo install so I told them of do it. After they installed the new stereo, they told me it didn't work. I was like, why wouldn't you test before installing it? It did work, they just didn't realize it was a pull out screen to see my back up camera on. Oh, so they didn't hook up my camera in the back of the stereo and now I can't find the wires I had run myself last time. I pulled the radio out to find them, and the wires are a mess. Used cables connecting my speakers. They crackle and go out when you move them around. And I can't find my video cables! What a waste, should've done it myself. read more

Needed to upgrade the crummy factory radio in my 2007 Honda Pilot. Viejo Auto Stereo came highly recommended to me from two completely different sources so I felt good about bringing in this old SUV in need of some audio upgrades. Note that I have a background in auto detailing so I am somewhat picky about looks. I had done my own stereo upgrades in the distant past, the mid '80's, so I found that I was in over my head when it comes to the newer stereo models. Mark and Santiago got me fixed up right. The fit and finish of the new Kenwood head unit looks factory. It looks like it belongs there. I've had many compliments on it already. That was the first hurtle. I've been working on a car audio DIY project for a short time and hit a few snags with the dash-kit and Sony stereo I bought. I thought I was going to have to send back the dash-kit and figure out the antenna connector online. Instead, I stopped by Viejo Auto Stereo in Mission Viejo, CA, hoping someone there would give me some free advice - and also thinking that I might just have them finish the install, if they could do it while I was in town. They were near closing time and they were trying to finish up a job for a customer who would be back before they closed, so they couldn't do the job right then, but he was nice about it. When I continued to ask questions about my DIY project, the owner, Santiago Villalva, took the time to show me what I had done wrong with the dash-kit and explained a couple of other things. He was very patient, even though he was the only one there and was trying to finish that job the other customer. Even when I continued to ask questions, he was quick to help and didn't show any frustration with my free-loading.
