We ate here because our flight was canceled and we were stuck at MIA overnight and we stayed at the Miami International Airport Hotel where this restaurant was located. We walked in to an empty restaurant. The uninspiring bartender told us to sit anywhere, no " hi welcome in etc." just a surly look as if we were going to cause him to have to actually work. We sat down and a man loudly drug a a large trash can loudly across the room to the kitchen. It was almost comical. The restaurant had very large windows that looked out to the runway, which was very cool and the restaurant was clean, with good music playing. There was a very large nice looking bar and many tables in the restaurant. We sat at a comfortable table, mind you, there was no one in the restaurant, many minutes later our waitress came to our table with a frown on her face she proceeded to explain the menu in a very grouchy almost angry tone. We ordered a bottle of the Sonoma Coutrer Chardonnay. We told her we would have a couple glasses of wine and then order our entree. She begrudgingly left and then started mopping. She put on gloves to mop and brought our bottle of wine after touching the mop and bucket of dirty water. We were so grossed out and mindful not to use the napkins she had handled. She was in such a bad mood. We were afraid to order food from her. She walked by our table, many times without looking at us or asking if we were ready to order. Presently she left, without telling us she was leaving . We were quite relieved to know that she was not going to wait on us any more ( we saw her take her bag and leave and walk right by us without saying a word.) Presently we had a new waitress, her name was Luz and she was a bit nicer, but not pleasant or friendly. We ordered the Cuban sandwich which was very good, the bread was fresh and crunchy with flavorful ham and cheese all pressed in the Panini press. It came with golden crunchy french fries. Of course everything was overpriced for what it was. Would we eat here again, nope! We were trying to have a nice dinner but we ended up having a very unpleasant experience, yes, we should have Ubered to a great restaurant, but were too tired, our bad. read more

My fiancée and I got back from a cruise and had a 8+ hour layover. This is my first time really having an extended period of time to pass at an airport and honestly, aesthetically it's dull and old looking, the staff seems to be hovering between burnt out, checked out, and/or frustrated, and TSA was chaotic and I'm use to chaos lol. You're cut off from possible appealing restaurants and stores based off your airline, the lounges require membership, and our terminal waiting area was humid and maybe 80 degrees. 300+ people in a hot room and one restaurant that has like 6 tables and 15 bar seats wasn't cutting it for us. So we left the terminal and went back to the lobby to find someplace to chill, even with knowing we would have to go through TSA again! Boom, we passed the Viena Sign and I saw "from farm to table" and knew we were going there. The problem is, it's almost like a speakeasy lol. A man had to let us know that we could use the elevator. It's honestly a hidden gem. We joked that we wernt going to tell anyone about it because people ruin everything lol. But honestly it was a BLESSING!!! Our server was Denise. Im not going to lie, she threw me off at first, but then I realized she is actually my favorite kind of Server. Anyway, she gets 5 stars too!! The food was acceptable to pretty good. Why the spectrum? Well, I paid $50 for a 14oz ribeye. I ordered medium, it came medium well. Not too much flavor, but the French fries were fried well and the string beans were delicious. Both sides were big portions. Add the fact that the music was nice, the aesthetic was very relaxing, the view was amazing, and the service was great; $50 for a meal wasn't too bad at all. Also My fiancée hardly finishes her plates, but she devoured her Burger. She said it tasted really fresh! My friend was flying out of Miami International Airport. She really didn't have much time to go outside to eat. So, we decided to try this place. The restaurant is clean and has a great view of the airport. You could sit by the window with a glass of wine. The menu had a little bit of everything. With our wine, we wanted to munch on some appetizers. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and guacamore. Both tasted good. However, I wish they had different kinds of chips to enjoy our dip. My friend had a burger that looked good too. (I was already full from these dips.) The server was friendly and good. Also came with fries which were not great. Did not finish either sandwich or fries. Service - 1/5 18% gratuity is automatically applied to the bill. The waiter had no incentive to try harder at his job since he was already pre tipped and it showed. Ordering was slow, drinks were slow, and when I asked him for water, he watched the TV for about 5 minutes and then filled up the water even though I was sitting at the bar right in front of him. It is extremely rare for me not to finish food, especially food this expensive. Would rather have eaten at the Burger King. Food, service, and value all would have been better. So although she was working 5x harder than she should have we didn't get a lot of service. Anyways, I'll move on from that because it was an odd day that flooded and I suspect the roads didn't allow the night crew to arrive. So I won't base this review on a unique weather day causing people to call in sick. I like the view, and atmosphere. The food was just decent and everyone agreed. The odd thing I found is how small the menu is. I'm a fan of a smaller than average menu over a menu way bigger than average. But this was Def smaller than average. They only had 3 sandwiches, and only 1 was a burger. I don't know about you, but only having 1 burger to choose from isn't enough. And my roommate got one and it looked pretty bad for $19. Slightly better than a McDonald's burger because it had veggies, but whether the bread was home made or not the final product was not $19. It seems their whole menu is designed to be thrown together really quick which is understandable for this crowd. But they should have a couple of more complex items. Their entrees basically were -would you like our only chicken meal? -if not, choose one of a few overpriced steaks -otherwise you're getting noodles. Service was terrible. We had ordered a burger, a flatbread, and a bowl of spaghetti. Food took about a one hour forty-five minutes to come. The fries were very undercooked and the burger which was supposed to be well done was more of a medium to medium well. The flatbread was decent as well as the spaghetti. Set up was nice with a few TVs and pretty tables. We all had ordered a hot tea and requested another one and were given just hot water without a tea bag. This is located near Terminal E's entrance, in the Miami International Hotel on the 7th floor. Once you get off the elevator, make a right and Viena will be right there. Yes sir twas me! I took a table that was next to the windows so I could do some plane spottin'. The waiter asked for my priority pass card and swiped it haha. I decided to get: Pao de Queijo - Brazilian cheese bread Roasted portobello sandwich - roasted red peppers, mozzarella cheese, arugula, balsamic glaze ($16) First came the cheese bread and they were piping hot. So good. The cheese melted in your mouth and yet the outside texture was so light, airy, fluffy yet substantial haha. kinda hard to describe. I would recommend this! ($6) The roasted portobello sandwich came out immediately after. Eating the portobellos was sooo good and the balsamic glaze on the type of bread they were using was really good. It kinda stuck together and having the arugula in the middle of the mushroom and the glaze was just perfect. It also came with fries on the side haha. The cheese was just alright haha. Service was good when they were in the main room, but it kinda hurt having no one out for periods at a time. We had a feast it was so good, the Brazilian cheese bread was so good and it was like a taste from my culture being 8th generation Brazilian! I need to update my review of Viena because of an experience I had on a follow up visit that came across as shady. If you're bringing a Priority Pass guest, be careful!! We got the steak and potatoes and flatbread. The steak was cooked to the right temperature and was flavorful - the flatbread and salad is a good choice on Priority Pass at $18, as well. This all went downhill quite quickly when they tried charging each person to a separate bill and giving each person a $28 credit rather than $56 off the total bill per the Priority Pass terms. The manager insisted they do this based on "guidance from corporate". After insisting they are breaking their contractual obligation he called 'corporate' back and did a "one time adjustment". Why is this important? If one person orders an $18 flatbread and the other orders a $36 steak you'll still be under the $56. I called Priority Pass the next week and confirmed what they're trying to pull is against the terms - hopefully this is corrected soon. read more

Wow, the best thing I had here were the few "focaccia" croutons I ate from the salad. The pasta with "fresh mozzarella" was a joke. I've come here twice while flying out of MIA, luckily I have priority pass which grants me $28 of credit per person. Food: The food here is one of the best pre-TSA options if not the best. They have a nice selection of flat breads, pastas, and European style fare. I've had a chicken flatbread that had too much bread and not enough toppings & a filet stroganoff that was very savory but very salty. Yes, these items weren't great BUT still better than margaritaville and burger king downstairs. Drinks: They offer a full bar and a number of wines. This is probably the classiest of the bars pre-TSA. Service: The service here has never been bad but its difficult to pay because it seems the whole restaurant only has one waitress on shift. Location: This is where Viena really shines. Located on the 7th floor of the hotel tower, you have great views of the runway. Also, since the restaurant is 6 floors above the crowds downstairs, you can actually relax before or after your flight. The views are impressive (as far as airport restaurants go), and service was good. The menu had a few good entrees and appetizers. I went with the Catch of the Day, which was salmon, with vegetables. Not bad for an airport restaurant that I have never heard of before. This is a great place to take advantage of your priority pass! Apparently, one card allots you to an unlimited amount +1s! The restaurant is very quiet, which is nice, and our server obliged to every little request my group made. I tried the Asian salad, rigatoni bolognese and the shrimp alfredo. The salad was nice and light, loved the ginger sesame dressing. It was a decent portion was well. Comparing the two pastas, I liked the shrimp alfredo more just because the sauce was super creamy. I tried two priority pass restaurants in Terminal E and this one is by far superior. Hard to find but it's just outside Terminal E security. Up the elevators to floor 7. Awesome views and friendly service. Two things to note, it's an airport/hotel restaurant so prices are high and portions aren't huge but knowing that's how it works at the airport and they take priority pass this place is terrific. He did not offer to bring drinks and I had to ask for a drink menu which he begrudgingly brought.
