This was our first experience having buffet style hot pot where you run up to grab your ingredients instead of order off of a list or tablet. We quite enjoyed it! Everything was super fresh. They have both hot pot and bbq options. The hot pot are individual settings and the bbq is communal for the table. They also offer prepared Maki, have an extensive sauce bar and coolers stuffed with all sorts of drinks that come with the AYCE price. They also have additional options for appetizers and kitchen prepared foods as well as a full bar. Our server circled around plenty of times and was very attentive. Over all an enjoyable experience! We had high expectations for this BBQ and Hot Pot AYCE. The establishment is clean the selections areas are clean. Positives are the sushi, hot pot selections, sauce station, kimchi and unlimited drink selection. Negative is our disappointment in all the marinated meats available from the BBQ selection. The short ribs, beef bulgogi, diced New York strip all had off taste and pre-cooked not fresh smell which was unpleasant and dangerous. We mentioned the concerns for the marinated meat and the owner addressed our concerns but the swapped out marinated meat option did not look any better than previously. We each ordered a full selections of BBQ and Hot Pot for five persons and were disappointed and turned off by our first time experiences BBQ and Hot pot. Would suggest that the owner and kitchen staff find authentic Korean meat marinades and quality control the amount and preparation timing of these marinated meats for the BBQ selection station. BBQ grill plates are stainless metal and should be soaked and cleaned of charred residue as this would helpful to those of us who prefer to not cook on parchment paper because of concerns by the paper bleaching or chemical coating. If there had not been the concerns with the marinated meats the rating would have been higher. read more

Lori is a great server!! Extremely attentive and so very kind. The food is great here. They have a lot of drinks to choose from as well, and it's unlimited. The only thing I wish we could see more of is dessert options but other than that, no complaints! Good quality, great options. One of the best hot spot / kbbq places I've gone to so far! To preface, I only did the hot pot so I can't have an opinion on the kbbq. From my experience though, there were so many veggies/hot pot items to choose from that I have not seen from other hot pot places. The difference is that this place is a buffet style so you can grab the items yourself instead of being served. Many sauces to create at the sauce bar. Another huge plus is that you get unlimited beverages that come with the meal. There was also a sushi bar and select desserts/fruits but I didn't get a chance to try them (Was getting too full). Make sure to come hungry if you are trying to get your money worth and trying all the food. Wasn't too much of a fan of the kimchi they had. I always order the Thai Tom Yum as my soup base and the broth was spicy and flavorful! Decent price for what you are getting so definitely worth it. read more

I could not recommend this place enough! I have been to hot pot before but my family had not, and I wanted them to experience it. This was the perfect place to go because our waitress was SO KIND and patient! She explained how everything worked, gave us menus with the cook times on them, and was super attentive whenever someone had a question. Also, the restaurant looks brand new! It's very cool inside with lights and music. We got both the hot pot and BBQ, as it is only $5 more to combo. If you have one of the Myrtle Beach coupon books, there is a 10% off coupon for Nine Spices in it! All the drinks in the fridge are included as well, which is super fun because they have ramune soda and different teas. They have a full bar, for extra cost, and bubble tea. The amount of food to choose from is insane. If you are doing hot pot, everyone chooses their own soup base. There are three vegetarian soup bases! I did the mushroom one, which was good. The Tom Yum was my favorite though. It had great flavor. First, there is a sushi buffet! They have lots of different rolls and salmon sashimi. There are tons of veggies and different types of tofu to choose from. They have all the meat and seafood you could imagine, including shrimp, prawns, and crab legs. There are multiple types of noodles. There is a sauce making station, and if you are new to hot pot, they have sample sauce recipes. There is dessert, too! Some small cakes, fruit, and ice cream. This is definitely a family friendly spot. If it's your first time, it can be a little overwhelming figuring out the cooking times, but it's a really fun activity and you will leave more full than you can imagine. read more

We had never been to one of these places and had no idea how to go about it.. the staff took us to our table and explained the whole process. After reading reviews we decided to do both Korean bbq and soup.. it's a big place and buffets offered lots of meat, seafood and veggie options. They turn the burners on at your table and you get what you want cook in it a broth of your choice or use burner to cook it.. I also got a glass of peach sake that was very good.. the price includes unlimited non alcohol beverages like soda teas or water and it's help yourself cooler. we had great time trying it all but of course over did it lol.. if you haven't tried it I suggest doing both just because gives you more options but after that I think I'd do the soup. Broths are so good.. oh and there's a sushi bar and desserts and lots of sauces to choose from.. place looks fairly new and clean. It's in a shopping center so not hard to find. I would likely give this a 4.5. Servers were kind and attentive and quite friendly! They seemed to work together to make sure tables are checked in on. The place honestly was spotless from the food bars to the tables to the bathrooms. The variety of proteins for the Korean BBQ was extensive, and had pretty much whatever you could think of. There was a good variety of sauces and items to put into the hot pot as well. They had at least 10 options for the hot pot broth. The many drink coolers they had also provided an extensive array of choices from sodas and water to Asian drinks such as aloe juice, sour plum drink, and marble soda. The drinks were also unlimited. The parchment paper and butter for the BBQ grill is a bit weird, but probably makes clean-up so much easier for the staff. Nine spices wasn't opened just yet, but when they did open, we went. This was our 3rd time here. Lori and Cecilia were very nice! This place has the best assortment of options, with lots of meat and veggies. My favorites are the pumpkin and enoki mushroom, and his favorites are the broccoli and udon. We're spicy lovers and the spicy broth is delicious and not too overwhelming at all. The only thing is that the prices are a bit higher than what we're used to, so we can't go as often as we'd like. Very different from other places I've been. This is 100% serve yourself other than alcohol. You even get your own water. The staff all works together managing the bar, cashing out, seating people bussing tables etc. I think it would've been more efficient for them to just have people stay in one spot....have a bartender have a hostess and have a cashier. This place has plenty of parking we went here on a Friday night. We have been to a few of these hot pot places. This place was set up differently. They bring you the broth of your choice and then all of there items are buffet style from vegetables, meats and sauces. The major meats are stored in a freezer and you grab what you like. They had beef tongue, beef brisket, chicken, pork and a variety of seafood. The servers were very attentive. They mainly had booths and it had spots to hold 6 people to do hot pot. You also had the option to do the BBQ. We just did the hot pot and it was delicious. We will be coming back when we are in the area. read more

We loved this restaurant so much that we had to go back a second time during our short stay. The place combines both hot pot and kbq with a buffet style service for all the proteins and sides. Food seemed fresh, staff were friendly and helpful without being overbearing. We loved all the trinkets and memorabilia which gave a very original ambiance to the space transcending us for a moment directly into Korea. The best dining experience I've had! Went on Monday at 4, paid $89 for 2 people we both got soup, bbq, 2 drinks each.
