This place is awesome! So convenient during baseball season. You can come get drinks eat and walk less than 5 minutes and your at the stadium. We came during the winter but it was still very nice. They have a tarped outdoor area where you can enjoy watching football and play corn hole and other cool games. There are fire pits with sofas to sit on that are so comfortable and perfect during cold winter months. The service is amazing Emily was our server and she was great! Wow, what a seriously awesome place to hangout in downtown Denver. My friend and I live in Westminster and struggle to find a restaurant open past 10, which sucks for me because my closing shift ends at 9:30pm. We decided to expand our horizons by checking out some downtown Denver bars and restaurants and decided to try Viewhouse Ballpark. To say the least, it exceeded our expectations for multiple reasons. The downtown location felt safe and upbeat. The restaurant itself was incredible, but then the rooftop bar was un-freaking-believable. My housemate and I sat in awe of the view, looking at all of the beautiful buildings surrounding us in amazement. They had another area set up downstairs with couch lounges, about 12 sets of the beanbag throwing game "bags", and a multiple huge TVs with different games on. There were so many different places to sit and enjoy yourself and we are really excited to go back. The food menu looked great, and the drinks were priced at a reasonable rate for a downtown bar. My long island iced teas were about $9 a piece and my friend's margarita was $10. Drinks were delicious and strong :) one bummer was that we came out specifically for food, we didn't pay attention to when the kitchen closed (we just saw in general that this restaurant is open until 1am) so it wasn't until we got there that they announced to us the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes (we got a little after 10 so I'm pretty sure the kitchen closes at 10:30), not a huge deal but I wish I would have noticed that before I left the house with an empty stomach, obviously kinda my fault but I wish this was clearer on the website- maybe this is obvious to some people but I never go out and it was a surprise to me. And my one other comment was that everyone was really nice and friendly in a personal sense face to face, but it was kinda clear to me that a lot of the workers weren't happy to be there. I mean, hey, it's work and never much fun, but I heard multiple comments regarding "someone please tell me it's midnight already" and other different things that outwardly emphasized how much they didn't wanna be there. I am one of the closing staff at my own job so I definitely get where they're coming from but in my opinion, no customer paying $10 for drinks needs to hear that kinda stuff while being helped. Literally not a big deal but something that both my friend and I noticed. Regardless, we will definitely be going here again and I cannot wait to bring my other friends here for a fun night out. Take note: Ladies night is on Thursday meaning free drafts and wells from 9pm-12am. The bathroom attendant was absolutely wonderful, but there was a peculiar smell through the building that smelled like a sewage line broke. Not sure how that came to be. Unfortunately, it was not as packed as we'd anticipated- it had a far more intimate setting which some regulars informed us was atypical. Outrage is an understatement. I wish I could send a picture of their mediocre food, drinks, and poor service but I can't because the racist bouncer and manager wouldn't allow entrance to my partner in who is Latino. My white friend and I got in easily, but because my partner speaks English with an accent was not allowed in, as he (being sober) "appeared intoxicated". The white manager said "My bouncer is Hispanic so he can't be racist". As we left, two Black men behind us were denied, and we talked to two other men of color who said they were denied access as well. They joined us for a drink at Ophelia's instead. I didn't want to go anyway, because (as I said) their food, drinks, and service is awful, but my friend visiting from San Francisco (who is also outraged) heard it had a decent view (other places have better views) so I was fine stopping by. Don't go here unless you are interested in supporting racism, misogyny, bigotry, bad food, and small plastic cups for your under served drinks. I recommend going down to Ophelia's who had excellent food, drinks, and service and ensured us that "EVERYONE is welcome here" when we shared our justified outrage. I cannot believe this place is still in business. Visited recently after the CU vs CSU game at Mile High. The bouncers were so aggressive and acted like they were police. Pulling people from the line and literally pushing them into the street and placing them in arm holds. I've never seen any establishment behave this way. The bouncers are sexist, racist and completely out of control. One of these days, if it has not happened already, they are going to have a big lawsuit dropped on them as they are going to hurt someone badly one day. I'll never visit again and neither will the group of 8 people I was with. Sad. read more

Terrible terrible experience. Had a reservation a month in advance for a Bach party for 11 people at 1Pm. Got seated. Sat for 20 minutes before a server came to us. She casually told us they are not serving food. Kitchen is backed up and no idea when they would be taking orders. After we all ordered drinks. I wouldn't normally come to a bar like this but when you're invited to a surprise HH for one of your friends, the location doesn't matter. Viewhouse is a three floor bar with one of the best views of downtown Denver from the rooftop patio. Activities are mainly on the ground floor (didn't have the pleasure). We predominantly enjoyed the rooftop patio. They do have waiter service for the tables but if you need a drink at that moment your best bet is to go up to the bar and get it yourself. I was able to try some of their wings and mozzarella sticks wrapped in prosciutto, both were okay, fried bar food IMO. Drinks were plentiful and service was okay. It's a great place for the younger crowd for before or after a game. I'll stick to my kind of bars in the future. read more

The service is pretty bad no matter when you go..ive been there when its dead or packed...They cant remember the seasonal beers on tap (sorry bro I dont want a miller lite). And they are slow with food orders and tend to mess things up. We arrived towards the end of happy hour, were not greeted by the 3 hostesses/servers who were gathered around the front, and wandered around on our own deciding where we wanted to sit. Our server arrived at 5:59 (I believe ever so conveniently right before the end of happy hour) and were told we were too late. Nonetheless, we ordered our drinks and asked for a menu. Menu looks just like most other bars in the area (unlike what they supposed tout about their unique offerings). Our spinach artichoke dip arrived and I was dumbfounded. I don't even think you could call it a dip as it was literally so little that you barely could scrape it out with one of the 12 chips that were given to us. I went here on Friday night and had the friendliest bartender by the name of Brian. He was so professional, knew the menu inside and out, checked on us an appropriate amount of time and recommended one of the salads and it was delicious! Viewhouse has way better food than what they get credit for. Also, a bunch of specialty cocktails as well. I would go back before a baseball game 100% again and hopefully Brian is working then too! Great place to enjoy some drinks and food on a rooftop! The place is huge and it was so packed! We arrived just at the right time before there was any wait time and our server took our drink order within the first 5mins of sitting down and drinks came out right away 20mins into it we had our food in front of us! For a drink I got the Southern Peach a cocktail made of bulleit bourbon, champagne, peach purée, lemon juice, rosemary-maple simple syrup. Honestly I could only taste the bourbon and a little bit of peach but that one drink was enough for me and at $10 it was awesome! For food I got the Jalapeño explosion burger; cheddar, bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, harissa aioli all on a brioche bun! The poppers had a kick that bacon was crispy and the caramelized onion gave it a sweet tang it was delicious plus the fries that come with it are the best darn fries you could ask for! They were long, perfectly season bites of potatoes! I also tasted the food around the table and everything from the Spicy cauliflower bites to the 32oz peach buzz blonde beer was worth every penny. This must be the Holy Grail of meat markets. Unfortunately, I came for the drinks, and not for hard bodies playing corn hole, looking to hook up. The facility itself is massive. The view from the top is extraordinarily nice, and dare I say, breathtaking. The drinks were a little overpriced, but this is a hot spot in LoDo, so its par for the course. The service on the other hand is so very S-L-O-W. We waited 10 minute before our server arrived. Then we waited 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, which is ridiculous, especially for their signature Viewhouse Lemonade (which is quite nice). Mind you, the place was packed, and our server was training a new hire, but 20 minutes...come on man. We continued our folly by ordering the pigs in a blanket. Another 45 minutes for those...grr. Now they were pretty good, and we would have stayed and order more food, but the wait was so atrocious, we went to look for another place for refreshments. If you happen to be in your 20's and looking for a college party atmosphere, this is the place. Just be prepared to wait for those Jaeger Bombs and Goldschlager's . So to start, I think this review really deserves 3 stars, but if I had a good time can I really do that? Probably not. So I won't! The Viewhouse is pretty cool in that your view is the Rockies stadium and if you like sports that's awesome. Came here for a Yelp event so I got to try some small bites and their lemonade cocktail. The cocktail is GREAT. I don't drink much and this really was a nice treat that still got my legs feeling a little funny. I really enjoyed it and want the recipe. The food...meeehhhhh. First off, the vegetarian option was hummus and while the hummus was good - COME ON, hummus? Really? Everything else had pork involved so I couldn't even eat around things. Why have a prosciutto wrapped mozzarella stick if a. The cheese isn't even melted inside b. I can't get the bacon off so I can't even eat it! Laaaame. But I'm sure meat and cheese lovers will really dig this place. Only good thing about this place is the location and the amount of space they have. Food is crazy overpriced and remind me of Applebees. It is not difficult to have halfway decent food, especially at these prices. Their mixed drinks are decent but again, super expensive ($10 for a mule). They don't even have a good craft beer selection and what they do have has been sold out every time I go here. This place pretty much exists to meet friends before a Rockies game. The place was packed, so my friends and I sat at the bar area on the top floor. Although the misting fans felt nice, I soon felt drenched by the endless downpour of mist. I'm still grateful for them. First impressions are everything.... We came here for a Yelp event, which includes food and drink. I absolutely love their housemade raspberry lemonade with Skyy Vodka. Yum, how could you not love real lemons, raspberries, and sugar! A wonderfully concocted cocktail that is made fresh to order! Now, you ask, "Why the 2 star rating?" Well, if you are going to serve free bites so that Yelpers can try your cuisine, you should probably not run out of 3 of the 4 items 45 minutes into the event. While I understand that these are small bites and not meant to be a meal, running out within 45 mins is ridiculous. Also, all that was left were Pigs in a Blanket, which we were told to limit one per person. So, 1/3 of a hot dog covered in dough is the limit - got it. If you're not going to replenish the bites, it would be more professional to tear the station down to not show patrons what they're missing. This place is centrally located and is a great environment with a great outdoor space, but has so much potential that they're falling short. read more
