We ordered way too much because we were hungry and got full super fast because EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! We started with the spicy tuna crispy rice, which is unlike anything I've had before (SO GOOD). We then had the delectable Makai salad with a variety of seafood, greens, and lilikoi dressing followed by the Hulopoe Bay Prawn BLT, which I really enjoyed. DINERS BE AWARE! We had a horrible experience at the restaurant. We have a reservation at the restaurant at 12:45pm and upon finishing the meal the restaurant refused to have us ride the hotel shuttle because we are not staying at the hotel even though we just spent $300+ for the meal. They were very rude and said the manager said the hotel shuttle is only for guests and we have to walk the 3 miles down ourselves. I am appalled by this experience and had to post this review for everyone who is even considering going to this restaurant. Maybe that's why they don't allow booking on Open Table even though their reservations are managed by Open Table. They do not want a flooding of negative reviews. Stay away at this restaurant at all cost. You are going to ruin your day. There are many other options on the island if you are planning a nice day trip. read more

Not especially pleased with my experience here to say the least. The views are everything you're told - gorgeous sweeping views of the coast from here. Really pretty if you can snag a spot outside overlooking the ocean. I caught a ride from the hotel (it's 5 minutes) here at 3:30 knowing I had until 4:30 (luggage was already dropped off and ready to go) to catch my waiting car to the boat dock for a ferry. They close at 4 but I was told it wouldn't be a problem. I was ignored for about 10 minutes when I arrived - no one was around - no one greeted me - no one even acknowledged my existence despite walking past and bustling around. So I approached a harried lady at the bar who said she didn't know if they'd feed me because the kitchen might be closed. What the hell? So I waited another 5 minutes or so and continued to be ignored. I was hungry so I was getting mad because I was wasting time where I could've been eating down at the resort somewhere now. Finally, I asked the same woman again and she said she didn't know. So I asked her to find out since she was wasting my time because I could've already sat and tried to order and now it was like 3:50. A guy who had walked past me several times came to say they would feed me (oh, gee thanks) but I was so mad I called and asked the front to come back and pick me up and I ate poolside. Upon a recommendation from one of the staff members of the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, we had lunch at the Views at Manele Golf. We opted to eat outside and were treated to a panoramic view of the ocean as well as breathtaking fairway views. While we browsed in the pro shop, one of the employees highly recommended we try the restaurant's Hulopoe Bay Prawn BLT. We shared the BLT and also ordered the fish tacos. While the fish tacos were very good, we couldn't get enough of the BLT. It was perfection in every bite. I also really enjoyed the spicy creole aioli that accompanied the BLT and even dressed my fish taco with it. For dessert, we couldn't pass up their famous ice cream sandwiches! Now this, my Yelp friends is paradise. Swanky lunch spot. Good food. Overlooking one of the most peaceful and gorgeous views. What else could you want? The place. The restaurant itself is beautiful with attention to details with fabulous accents, from the legs of the tables to the handles on the silverware-a keen eye was used to style this place. The view. The perfectly manicured green grass contrasted with the deep blue ocean against the pale blue sky. If you can't relax here, there is no hope. If you decide to look away from this pristine backdrop, the large screen TV in the bar area was showing the NFL game. The food. The grub itself was decent. I tried the burger, quesadillas and summer roll. The roll had a sweet sauce that had a little bit of a kick. The quesadillas were packed with shrimp and also had a little bit of a kick. The burger was good but could have been a bit more juicy. My table mates reported the fish and chips was the best entree on the menu. You can't beat the view at Views as well as the amazing hospitality!!! Breathtaking views of the ocean, beach, golf course, and dramatic hillside. Unfortunately, the food is average at best. We had the Views Tacos with fresh Mahi Mahi as well as the Lobster & Shrimp Quesadilla. They sound better than they tasted but the overall dining experience was enjoyable because of the views and service. If you're in Lanai this place is a must visit for the views alone! read more

The clubhouse at the Challenge at Manele is another good option for lunch on Lanai. We stopped in after our round and had a great lunch and a few beers. My wife had the Ahi salad. I had the kalua pork sandwich with stone ground mustard. I liked that a lot and would recommend that to anyone that likes good BBQ. It was pretty tasty. We enjoyed a few of the Kona Fire Rock Ales with lunch, which ended up being our local beer of choice for the trip. A great meal with excellent views of the golf course, hotel and bay. read more

Terrible communication, no updates on changes to reservations until arrival. Booked our lunch a month prior to arrive to changes that would not allow us to dine there regardless of confirming prior given we took a boat to the four seasons and were not actively staying there even though we were fully vaccinated. No attempt to mediate, just flat out denial and miscommunication. The food is also mediocre as they forced us to sit there for two hours and wait for a shuttle they wouldn't provide to compensate of which we had to take to get there. So we had to get takeout. Overall disappointing food, and even more disappointing service that lacks character and the right thing to do. I hope they fix their communication so further guests don't charter to the island before turning them down without even letting them know before hand. The least you can do is call when telling people you must stay at this resort to eat at this restaurant. Especially when your hostess books a reservation knowing you were not staying at the four seasons to begin with. Sad. read more

A little bit off the beaten path but a quick shuttle ride over will have you from the Four Seasons driveway over to the Clubhouse in a few minutes. Perched perfectly above Manele Bay the view is breathtaking and the service is impeccably Four Seasons even though you are not officially at the resort. We had the Shrimp Tempura skewers (three) to start, the sauce was light and fantastic, the shrimp were large and juicy. Perfect start! I ordered the Kona Fire Rock Ale (thanks Dan for the suggestion) and we had a seared ahi salad with lilikoi dressing and a Bulgogi sandwich. Both dishes were fantastic, my wife could not get enough of the salad dressing which was light, delicious and had the right amount of lilikoi flavor. My Bulgogi sandwich was amazing, loved the seasoning and it was perfectly cooked... highly recommend this dish. I didn't see the Kalua Pork Sandwich on the menu that Dan suggested so I am assuming my Bulgogi rotated in. If you need an escape from the Ocean Grill I would highly recommend coming by. I believe they are open from 11am - 3pm. We showed up at 2:30 and they seated us without any problems. read more

Lunch at the Manele Clubhouse is a must if you are staying at the Four Seasons. First, the view overlooking the ocean is stunning. The atmosphere is also extremely lovely and tranquil. Second, the food is outstanding. We had the seafood salad and the prawn BLT. The seafood salad was refreshing and all of the seafood was super fresh and perfectly cooked. The dressing was also delicious. The prawn BLT was delectable and unique. Also, the ice cream sandwiches are awesome. They are all great but the ginger snap is particularly good. read more

Surely one of the most picturesque lunch spots in Hawaii. The clubhouse at The Challenge at Manele Clubhouse is beautiful, calming and quiet. I had fish and chips while watching Dolphins play in the cove in front of Sweetheart Island. Fish was perfectly cooked and served with a lemon caper tartar sauce and the best crispy fries i've had in a long time. Do not visit this restaurant unless you are staying at the hotel. I called and made a reservation over 3 weeks ago and we showed up today after taking the 45 min ferry JUST for this lunch to be turned away because we are not guests and they "changed their policy". Their employee also let us know they have no reservation confirmation procedure and don't intend on creating one. We had to wait an hour outside for our ferry to return. What a great lunch. We were just heading up to check out the view before we left and had to eat. The service was really helpful and friendly, weather (of course) beautiful and fare is delightful. We split a salad and entrée because we weren't that hungry. Seriously, couldn't resist! Had a couple of cocktails as well, but not too strong we couldn't get back to the resort :) If you happen to be on the wonderful island of Lanai, you should make the time to eat here. I know, it's a golf clubhouse, right? But everything in Hawaii is (usually) better :) We happened to hit it on a very nice day at the end of lunch rush and our service was prompt and helpful. Had been our favorite. Fish and chips used to be light tempura battered fresh Mahi and hand cut large fries. This time in on May 28th the fish batter was heavier and over fried and dripping oil. French fries were no longer hand cut and smaller and not as tasty. Heard the chef moved back to mainland and looks like new chef is cutting corners on the food.
