Vignolas is a nice addition to Italian dining in Edmond. Portions are large and food was served when plated so nice and hot. Excellent house made sausage and meatballs. I don't know how this place has good review. We ate there and it is terrible! Worst Italian food I have ever eaten. Tasted like frozen food and very expensive! We had to fight flys off our food. We paid $6 extra for 4 small shrimp and $4 extra for a little bit of canned chicken for our dishes. Never will we eat there again!!! Don't waste your money!!! read more

This was a choice for an impromptu date night, and I'm sorry to say that it was disappointing. First, the positives. The staff was friendly, and attentive to customers. Where the restaurant was lacking, was in other items. First, the food was not of equality that I was coming to expect. My sauce on my chicken, Parm was watery, and our appetizer was lacking as well- the fried mozzarella was loaded with liquid that would burst upon your table and on you if you weren't aware of it. My wife chose a sandwich, and was disappointed at the amount of food for the price. Overall, I wish them well, but cannot say that I would be back under the current conditions. one last note, while we were there, the air conditioner dripped on us the entire entire time. When this was brought to the staff attention, we were told that it was a condition caused by the door being open and closed. That felt like a dismissal, and did not help the experience. the air conditioner dripped on me, my wife, and eventually our food. That ended the meal right there. If they were aware of the dripping, they should not have had a table there. Just food for thought. read more

Tonight was the second time I have eaten at Vignolas, and both times the food was excellent! I think that their Caesar salad is the best in town--the dressing is perfect to my taste. The Fettuccini Primavera with shrimp was so good the first time that I ordered it again tonight. And it did not disappoint. The focaccia is fresh and good. My husband really enjoyed his Chicken Parm. The Railyard is an interesting location for food of this quality, but actually it is really nice to have a really good casual restaurant close to home--we ran over there tonight after my husband finished up his round of golf. And the prices are very reasonable. Vignolas is so good that I keep telling all of my friends about it! A gem in downtown Edmond! read more

Although it's not what most locals consider "Italian" cuisine, I welcome their offerings. Even though it's not your typical "red sauce" menu, the menu is chock full of the usual dishes. While the gnocchi was light and fluffy, I would have preferred the pesto not be a cream sauce. My mistake. I should have read the menu more carefully. I did enjoy the dish. The wifey had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Although fresh, like I said, usual. The arancini had way too much breading and made it the most disappointing dish. I do appreciate their thinking outside the box. While I love a fresh, quick sauce, theirs seemed to just slightly miss the mark. The bread was excellent. If you're a big eater, you're not t going to walk away stuffed. Portions are on the smaller side of average. Although, I prefer quality over quantity. I am willing to try other menu items. I think they are on the right track to open Oklahoman's palates to quality food. I wish they succeed. The key is putting out quality food on time when they are busy. All the best. Our first time here. Although we lived in Italy for years, we admit we are not expert critics. We just love to eat! The food (chicken piccata, focaccia bread and mixed salad) was fresh, tasty and well proportioned. The rosé was unremarkable. The service was friendly and timely, considering it was rush-hour for Friday night dinner. Servers stopped at our table multiple times to ask how things were going. The ambience was the only thing lacking. I should admit that after reviewing the website and the Edmund Sun articles, my expectations were for a more traditional dining experience. The size and set up for this venue is more prepared to serve you a quick lunch or dinner and get you moving on. My wife commented that she hoped signore Vignolas had success in this venture, and that he would eventually establish a larger trattoria or ristorante, and so bring to Edmond another fine eating institution beyond this smaller osteria. read more

Our table ordered 7 different things, and they were all delicious (pesto gnocchi, meatballs, bolognese, porchetta sandwich, chicken fettuccini Alfredo, chicken picata and focaccia).
