This is my favorite place to order Italian food from. When I moved to the area, I couldn't find a place that made a decent Eggplant Rollatini or good Italian food in general... Then I discovered this little place. The people who work there are friendly and they deliver very fast. Their Egglant Rollatini is pretty good. It comes with ham inside which I order without. Chicken Francese, Manicotti, Chicken Parmigiana and Tortellini Alfredo are some of our family favorites. The salads are great. I like the Chicken Tuscan salad. Their grilled chicken is flavorful and they give you so much of it. I LOVE their homemade house dressing, it's kinda like a creamy balsamic. I always order extra and wish they sold it by the bottle. I have gotten the wrong kind sent before and was so disappointed. The pizza is good. Some nights it's even better than others, but still always good. Nice and cheesy. Their garlic knots are oily and very garlicky, but that is how I like them. The broccoli cheese bites are really good.. even my picky kids eat them. There are only a couple of things I don't like. Their vodka sauce is not good. I couldn't taste tomato, butter.. or well anything at all. The thin, pink tinged white sauce barely covered my penne. I love Vodka sauce, and every place is a little different. This this is one of the worst I've ever had. I'd never it order again. It tasted and looked like heavy cream with chopped tomatoes and a bit of basil in it. I was disappointed since their alfredo is pretty good. I hate to say anything bad about the place since we like it so much. Maybe it was who made it that day. I wish they fixed it, because if it had been my first time ordering from there, I'd never order again and would've missed out on all of the good food. If you're reading this please get a good vodka sauce recipe. I wish the zeppoles were better tasting and came with more powdered sugar. They are small, a little dry, which is odd because their garlic knots are big and greasy. Maybe its me, but I like big, hot doughy zeppoles that are fatty sweet. If I'm gonna indulge, I'm gonna go all the way. Other than that, I love Villa Borghese. I order from there regularly and recommend it to anyone who likes Italian food. read more

This summer, my boyfriend suggested one day that we try this place since we had never ordered from here before. He ordered his usual favorite (baked ziti) and I ordered a personal size eggplant special pie. We both loved the food from here so we have been coming here a lot more. The pizza was so good the 1st time and seems to get even better the more times we go. This is definitely a good place to check out for some awesome pizza or just some classic Italian dishes. Health hazard! Went in to get a plain pizza and NOT A SINGLE worker was wearing a mask, nor did they care to put one on when I walked in wearing a mask myself. Pizza was not good enough to risk getting Covid. Very irresponsible as a food business to not follow CDC guidelines. read more

Picked up Chicken Francese with spaghetti and a salad. I'm used to having the chicken as well as the pasta in some sauce. The chicken never had any sauce on it, it was very dry. The spaghetti was in a clump. I'm also used to a lemon flavor in the sauce-nope, that was missing. I typically order my pizza from a restaurant in Jamesburg, however I thought by ordering from "in town" pizzeria ,delivery time would be shorter. Wrong assumption on my part! Delivery time was just as long , pizza was cold and dough was difficult to bite into as if I were eating cardboard. At my work we frequent the daily specials at least a couple times a week. The food is not bad at all and can even be really good. Unfortunately, in my experience, special request or instructions are not paid attention to a lot of the time. If you ask for no lettuce or tomato on your wrap, for instance, you may in fact get your wrap and there will be lettuce AND tomatoes. I have been ordering from here since March '16. The quality of the food is excellent, the ingredients fresh and the home delivery service is fast. The one and only time we had an error with our order, the restaurant were extremely generous in replacing the pie and offered for us to keep the original. Pizza is excellent, my favorite the area. The crust is just right, good flavor sauce, quality cheese. We live a little under 10 minutes away and enjoy going there not only for the food, but also for the scenery (railroad, old buildings). Prices are on par with other Pizza parlors in the area. My kids also love the spaghetti. I've ordered one pie and ordered many, and the quality comes through each time. People are friendly, there's a tv usually with sports on. I was in town for business and the hotel recommended the pizza place for delivery. It took 35 minutes for a personal pan pizza and side salad. The delivery guy had an attitude, and when his mate on the phone (who took my credit card details) hung up before getting a tip, I told him so. He then gave more attitude, so I called back and gave my credit card details again- I didn't have to do that, but felt bad as this restaurant seemed so disorganized. No kidding, this was the worse pizza I ever had. My wife had my car, I don't like driving hers so I checked out Yelp reviews on local pizzerias. Villa Borghese got good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered a pie with 1/2 sausage, 1/2 meatball and onion on the whole pie. The pizza was burnt and dried out. Was the sausage good? I couldn't tell you, it was like wood chips and flavorless. Their meatballs survived this mess and were tasty. Onions are onions. The sauce was nonexistent and the dough was so dry it had no taste, it was thin and the crust was like eating a stick. And this morning when I got up I'm unusually thirsty. Since the pizza was the only thing I ate after lunchtime I'm thinking that something on or in that pizza was salty. That is the last time I blindly believe what I read. read more

When we first moved here we had no clue where to order food from and we missed out on this place for the first couple of months. We tried ordering pizza from Domino's and it was terrible so we just gave up for a while. One day we were looking for something quick to eat and as we were passing by we decided to stop for a slice of pizza! After that Villa Borghese quickly turned into one of our favorite places to eat. Best qualities about this restaurant are that they deliver quickly, the food is always fresh, and it tastes really good. There are not many options for delivery in Helmetta but I think this is probably your best bet. I've ordered delivery from here 4 times and every time it has been very good. I've ordered the cold subs (very fresh and tasty) and the pizza (bbq chicken is my favorite) and other appetizers like mozz sticks, garlic bread, etc. everything is always very good. overall if you're in the mood for italian delivery this should definitely be your first choice! oh and the delivery always comes very quick and the take credit cards over the phone, which is very convenient. read more
