Been there many times. The food and their specialty salads are great. So is the service.

Unfortunately they are not consistent. When they are good, they are really good. But I digress, when it's bad. Doesn't anyone check before it goes out? That's unprofessional. I like their food but between last nites burnt mushrooms, occasionally black bottom pizza and constantly cold delivery. It's time..to find another place. It's a shame but it is what it is. Their was no reason for the burnt mushrooms, I mean it takes quite awhile to burn them, so while they were burning them they could've made new ones. Anyway no quality control. Check in would probably be better if you ate their bc delivery isn't great. read more

Since new owners took over, there has been significant improvement. I usually get stuffed rigatoni with meat sauce. It's consistently good. Pizza is much better as well. read more

Fresco is a solid take out or sit in Pizzeria with a dining room. Fresco offers excellent service and some inexpensive early bird and dinner for 2 specials. Very casual byob with plenty of free parking. Red sauce Italian, I enjoyed their eggplant rolatini. The chicken parm was average which was fine. There is an up charge to substitute a vegetable instead of pasta. The portion of sautéed spinach was huge, fresh and delicious. I noticed quite a bit of pizza pickup and delivery. We came upon this gem because of my niece's first communion and are we glad my brother picked this place! Very cute place in a strip mall with ample parking and out door dining . Once inside you will forget you are in a strip mall. We started with family style appetizers fried calamari, fresh mozzarella w/ roasted peppers & tomatoes, and mussels. The freshness and taste were perfection. Ohhhh the bread so fresh right out of the oven!!! We all choose different entree's and they either came with a soup or salad. All entree's were served beautifully, flavorful and plentiful. Our two servers were very attentive, funny, and polite, couldn't of had better service. Just placed a to go order for the Fresco special pie. They seemed to forget to add meatballs to the pie (unless it blended in with the bacon) and pie otherwise was just ok and on the droopy side. Absolutely delicious food! The calamari appetizer was abundant and nice and well done. However portions were very small. 4 mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. 4 shrimp and one chicken cutlet on the entrees. We did go for the 2 for $44.95 special, so I would think they reduce the portion size. But why offer it to present less than your best? It was our first time for dinner there. Wondering if their portions are that small off the regular menu at regular prices? I'd be pretty pissed off, so not sure if we'd go back to find out. Silly way to try to promote your business. I have no idea what the others are talking about. This place was awesome. We help my dad's repass there and the staff was awesome. The wait staff was polite and provided all of us with great service. They actually got all our orders right, unlike other places. Plus they did not rush us. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. One the best eatery my family and I have been too in along time. Passive aggressive deli owner Lots of standing around on the employees part. Took 30 minutes for two subs. Manager was rude and questioned how long we were actually waiting for two seven inch subs (we checked the time stamp). They can't take phone orders effectively, so calling ahead was equally frustrating, so we placed the order IN PERSON. Will never recommend this place, jersey pizza and subs are great everywhere, this place lacks service and hustle. For small business owners customer service goes a long long way! Go next door to the pork shop and make it yourself, it would take the same amount of time. read more

This was a bit of a mess, right from the online ordering. Wife wanted bruschetta and tortellini alfredo. They have tortellini pasta, and a pasta alfredo sauce, but no way to order tortellini alfredo. They also have bruschetta pizza, but no bruschetta app. Anyway, I ordered honey bbq wings thinking maybe they were making their own sauce and gave a crap about their wings. WRONG. Typical breaded, frozen wings and a ramekin of sweet baby rays honey bbq sauce. What a joke. Added bonus, 1 wing was the smallest I've ever seen. Think half a pinky finger. Weird. Mozz sticks had no crunch at all. I did a cheesesteak, which was actually not terrible. Meat was good, cheese tasted cheap. Bread was chewy, but not the worst. Wife did a medium bruschetta pizza because there was no personal bruschetta pizza option. I hated it, but she thought it was ok. Good garlic flavor in there, but so wet the crust was mush. They also cut it weird so some slices were huge and others slim. Pizza was impossible to bring back the next day. This is not our new spot. read more

Went to get something on menu for lunch. They told me the guy that makes it isn't here and they don't know how. I ordered the Sub/fries/soda lunch special- chicken parmigiana, my wife ordered a lunch chopped salad. It took 25 minutes to get our lunch. We were the only people in the place. My sub came and they forgot the bread, not kidding. While we were waiting a customer came in for a slice and complained that a delivery ordered from a few nights earlier was wrong. They charged her for the slice and said sorry. I definitely would have comp'd the slice and threw in a drink. The food ain't bad but be very patient. I don't think the owners were there. I was driving by and saw this place. Never have been here but I went in and the pizzas looked amazing. I bought a slice and wanted to eat it cold with my coffee....it's something I love, Coffee w/cold pizza LOL. Anyway, I took one bite of my slice and fell in love with it! Perfect flavor of the sauce, great amount of cheese, and the CRUST!!! DELICIOUS! I couldn't believe how good this tasted. Frescos is great. The owners are amazing people and the food is good as well. Their soups are very good, which is tough to find a place that makes their own soups and not something out of the can. My wife and I really like the penne vodka, and i heavily enjoy ordering the baked ziti and a sausage and pepperoni roll. Everything you order is going to be good, those are our favorites. I'm so happy it's open again! After a few months of closure, Luigi's is back and renovated. I have always liked Luigi's in Toms River, after my move up north I didn't think I'd have it again. I've tried many pizzas, entrees and cheesesteaks at this place and I have yet to be disappointed. Though I also prefer to order take out, I've sat down to eat in the establishment before. The servers and staff are all very welcoming. The food comes out pretty quickly and the variety of pizza is consistently restocked!! I see that this place has gotten a few stars before, but the complaints are very high for people who try to order during rush hour time! Overall I've been satisfied with Luigi's and I will continue to recommend this place. My top favorite things to order are: the vodka sauce pizza, cheesesteak California style, fried calamari, and spaghetti. Yum! read more

We just moved to the area & tried this place a few times so far. We've tried the pasta with vodka sauce, chicken Parm, shrimp scampi, shrimp fra Diablo which was all delicious. The Sicilian pies are out of this world and their regular pies are awesome as well. The prices are perfect & the service is unbelievable. it's a really nice neighborhood place to go to for Italian food or some pizza. Very clean, BYOB, and the owners are all wonderful people. Highly recommend it. They also deliver. Also, the dinner rolls are to die for. They are made from scratch at their restaurant!!!! read more

We were a party of three that went to try out this new pizzeria after the Luigi disaster. I ordered Pescatore , House Salad with Balsamic Salad Dressing on the side, my friend ordered Chicken Ravello and his brother-in-law ordered a personal pizza half plain/half pepperoni. Of the three meals my meal was the best. Pescatore, House Salad with Balsamic Salad Dressing on the side. I tasted a slice of the half plain side of the personal pizza it was bland and very chewy almost like elastic which is a huge turn off. My friend said the chicken in the Chicken Ravello was thin and not of high quality. He wasn't impressed but did continue to eat it because he was hungry like myself and his brother in law. In conclusion we will not be coming back to order pizza there or the Chicken Ravello or any chicken dish until they order a higher quality of chicken and prepare the pizza with less doughy/chewy consistency. Hopefully they will read this review and take it not as a condemnation but rather a way to improve. If more and more people feel the same way we do they will find themselves without customers to support their employees salaries and their rent. Disappointing experience. I've ordered the grandma pizza from here before and it was great, so I thought I'd order here again. The first star off is for the rude and incompetent girl who picked up the phone. She had a lot of trouble taking my order, and when I said I wanted an orecchiette pasta, she couldn't understand me and THEN I heard her say to someone beside her "she doesn't know how to pronounce it. Funny thing is, the guy she handed the phone to said it the exact same way. When I received my food (stromboli and pasta), there was no sauce or bread. The menu clearly states that these are included with the stromboli and pasta. I was already home when I realized this, so my dinner was lacking.
