For the last several times I've been ordering delivery from them. Since they are much quicker than the other pizza place and it arrives hot. Their pizza is decent and thin crust which I love also not greasy. I've ordered their salads too which are packed with yummy goodness. Nestled in the little town of Jamesburg, it boasts some decent pizza. I haven't really tried anything else but decent pizza is plus. Eventually I'll try other stuff. The prices are on par with all the other pizza joints around here. Located in the heart of Jamesburg, Romeos is a solid local spot for pizza and Italian food. They have a nice indoor dining area, a more casual indoor area on the pizzeria side, and a few outdoor tables out front. It seemed pretty busy around lunchtime on a weekend with plenty of locals picking up orders and regular phone orders coming through. Since it was quick lunch stop, we shared a chicken parmigiana sandwich and a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza hit all the right notes with regards to cheese, sauce, and crust without anything in particular to set them apart from other Central NJ pizzerias...just a decent local pizza spot. Likewise, the chicken parmigiana sandwich was a solid, above average sandwich with fresh bread and decent cut of chicken topped with sauce and cheese. I'd rate Romeos a 3.5/5 among area pizzerias, but happy to round up to a 4 since they are better than some of the ho hum places that I'd rate a 3. It didn't seem that any of the employees/workers were Italian, but food was decent nonetheless. While I wouldn't go out of my to visit Romeos again, it is a solid local option for food in Jamesburg and a place I'd stop by at again if in the area and in the mood to grab a meal. read more

Food is standard Americanized Italian food and is mediocre at best. Sauce is moderately bland with very little flavor and is used on most everything from the pizza to the pasta. Nothing stands out and no dish is a star. Although it's a local business it only works due to being the only Italian restaurant in town aside from Dominoes. Even their sauce has a little flavor ( not saying it's a good flavor but a flavor nonetheless.) If your looking for a quick lunch, buy all means get a slice or two or maybe even a hot sub but for dinner, stay home and make it yourself. It will be cheaper and taste better. read more

When I'm looking for a pizza fix, I always come to Romeo's. It is a good pizza in the area for the price and convenience of location. Their parm sandwiches are always good no matter what type of meat you end up getting. They also have gf pasta which is a plus! Pretty quick service for takeout. My husband and I had dinner there last night along with two friends. The food is always delicious. However, last night was a different story. I love their eggplant rollatini. It comes with a side of pasta. The pasta was extremely overcooked. It was falling apart. My friend ordered linguini with broccoli. They gave her penne instead. Our other friend's dish was not what she ordered. I must say, even though the restaurant was crowed, our server was very attentive. We're not giving up. I hope this was a one time experience. I wasn't expecting such a great experience from Romeos- it was the only thing open on Memorial Day Monday and we were looking for any sort of dinner. We got a Margherita pie and a plain pie. They make a great classic NJ pizza- thin crust and good chewiness, great sweet/ tangy ratio on the sauce and perfect amount of cheese. Garlic knots were also really good! Service was fantastic especially considering they were about half an hour from closing when we came in with 6 people. The food here at Romeo's is very good. Better than many high end Italian restaurants. Although the seating in the dining room can sometimes be a little tight during busy hours and on the weekends, Amari and the rest of the staff do an excellent job. Jimmy is always ready to fill up your water glasses or attend to your needs. Their veal and chicken meals always seem to be the most tender. And if you happen to go before 5:00PM for their early bird special you can get Soup or salad, entree and dessert for $19.99. A real bargain these days. read more

It's been 3 years since I went to the Jamesburg restaurant and I guess things sometimes change. This was not a pleasant experience. We went there last night and ordered shrimp parm and linguini and my wife ordered eggplant rollitini. Honestly, I couldn't tell I was eating shrimp. I think they were butterflied because they were flat and tasteless. The sauce was very salty and overwhelming. Same for the eggplant rollitini. The service wasn't great. No one came over to ask if everything was ok. One of the servers came by with water refills without being asked. The Cesar salad was over dressed and I didn't enjoy the dressing. This was a very disappointing experience, especially since we were so looking forward to a delicious meal. read more

It was quite tasty and not overly salty with the bacon bits on top. The portion size is big and can probably be goof for about 2 people. The cheesesteak wasn't my favourite either. Romeo's Restaurang & Pizza is located in the quaint town of Jamesburg. Parking is along the street next to the train tracks. There is ample seating with cleanly set tables and chairs. The pictures on the wall and mural are quite beautiful and create a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. There was plenty of pizza to choose from at the counter, I decided to go with a plain slice and vodka slice. The plain slice was tasty and had delicious tomato sauce. The base was mostly crispy and there was a nice, fluffy crust. The vodka slice featured tremendous vodka sauce, though I wish the cheese was shredded to promote better melt and distribution. The sliced cheese slid around when the slice was bitten into and didn't melt quite as well as I had hoped it would. read more
