My daughter's penne vodka was good, but there was bits of some kind of meat in there that was unexpected... pancetta? bacon? We weren't really sure, but it was tasty. 4 stars from us, probably negative stars from anyone ordering that and thinking they were getting a vegetarian meal. Also, LOVED the bread. 5 stars. The bad news is the wings are only a step above the most generic breaded frozen wings most pizzerias have, and it's a small step. When you advertise "Bonett's famous wings," but then they suck, that's a real kick in the balls. Just say what everyone else says, "wings," and let me be my normal level of disappointed. Don't hype me up over nothing. 2 stars. Finally, we get to the worst buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had. As soon as I opened the box my wife said from across the room "oh bummer!" Cheese was terrible, dough was chewy, cubes of plain chicken tossed haphazardly and a swirl of buffalo sauce over the top as a final "whatever." This was garbage. 1 star. Where's the Pizza ? Walked in with my wife after shopping in the strip mall .. like 5:30 maybe 6:00 . We wanted a couple of slices .. Well looking on the counter we see 2 regular slices and two square slices. They looked dried out if they were sitting there for some time ... ( Oh it was a Friday) .. My wife asks do you have any other slices underneath the counter.. He pulls out a tray with 4 other regular slices. They were better looking than the ones on the counter, not by much. So we we're there so we ordered three of those slices.. He over heated them so they were like hard cardboard... WOW what's up with this place.. I am a pizza lover. In the land of a million Pizza places, it's hard to stand out, especially when you have places like Krispy down the road. The first time we tried Bonetti's we were looking for something new. Fresh. Good quality. Too many places charge 9-10 dollars for small half subs. We decided we would order an eggplant Parmesan hero. I was not disappointed. It was loaded with piping hot, freshly fried, eggplant and loaded with cheese and sauce. Both my husband and I were thrilled. We hoped it wasn't a fluke so after a few more times of trying them, we were still satisfied. I will say one day I ordered a cheesesteak for pick up and the normal cook must have been off. The sandwich was lacking steak... it had a thin layer. Since this only happened once, I'll chalk it up to a rough shift and leave it at that. Mostly, we had been enjoying their hot subs because no one around here had a good one (not even Krispy). We spent the last 6 months or so trying hot subs. Every time they were very good. We were apprehensive about trying their pizza, since We already know where to get a really good pie. Finally, we decided to try a pizza and a Stromboli. The eggplant Stromboli was soft and amazing. The dough felt like it was just made. I loved it. We ordered their traditional works pizza. It was good. Frankly, I'll have to order another pie to give you a better review. I'm still dreaming of the Stromboli. I don't know if my lack of opinion reflects a mediocre pizza or a fantastic Stromboli but I promise I'll update when I order another one. This by FAR is our most favorite pizzeria. It's so high in first place, that nothing comes close! Went in one day with my daughter for a slice and came out talking about it throughout the day of how delicious the thin square was. Crispy, crunchy and full of flavor. I came here since I don't work on Thursdays (my normal go to during work is in Dayton). I was not pleased. Older gentleman seemed irritated to take care of me. I had asked what kind of pizza something was. (I still have no idea what it was... it looked okay - something with chicken) A younger guy came out and took my order and was very nice. I order a white slice and something else... The white slice I couldn't finish. It wasn't a good pizza. They both had been sitting out for a while, I could tell. My boyfriend and I order from here all the time..sometimes up to 3 times a week...it's that good. Their stuffed rigatoni In vodka sauce is my favorite , I think I have only tried one other dish and always go back to it !!! My boyfriend loves their penne bolognese , I think it's a mix between tomato sauce and vodka sauce but it's really good. We also got chicken parm with vodka sauce...except there was no vodka sauce on the sandwhich lol ( can you tell we love their vodka sauce?!) 1 out of 100 times isn't bad to have a little mess up. The staff there is always really nice , if they don't have my favorite slice -chicken franchese they always offer to make it .
