Extremely frustrating experience and a complete waste of my time. I contacted Villa Electric because I needed an actual diagnostic evaluation of my home's electrical system and panel--not someone to simply come out, look around, and give me estimates for future work. I explained what I needed and specifically asked what they charge for the diagnostic service. I asked twice and never received a price. Instead, Ramon repeatedly told me that estimates are free and that there would be a charge if the technician had to troubleshoot or diagnose anything. That was exactly what I was asking to have done, so naturally my question was: what is the charge? Somehow I still couldn't get a straight answer. I finally canceled the appointment and hired another electrician. I gave the other electrician essentially the same information, and he immediately understood what I wanted, quoted me his $160/hour diagnostic rate, explained what he could inspect, and scheduled the appointment. Simple. What really sealed my opinion of Villa Electric was Ramon's response after I canceled. He told me that "there's no other company out there in the market" that would do more for customers in terms of pricing and quality. That's a pretty remarkable claim to make about your pricing when you've repeatedly refused to tell the customer what your pricing actually is. When I pointed out that contradiction, his entire response was: "Thank you." I can't comment on their electrical work because I never let the process get that far. I can comment on my experience trying to hire them: poor communication, no pricing transparency, and a dismissive attitude when I explained why I was taking my business elsewhere. There are plenty of electricians to choose from. I shouldn't have to chase a company for a straight answer about what they're going to charge me before I agree to diagnostic work in my home. On too of that they were supposed to come the first week of December (they were gone on a month long vacation in November) and wanted to push the job into January..... I ended up using Villa Electric Inc. The cost was $275. They are fully licensed, bonded. It's amazing how big the difference is for the same service. I highly recommend Villa Electric for Tesla Charger installs ($500 within 5 feet of the panel). I called to have them come out for an estimate on a project I was doing. I had already gotten 3 estimates before Boyes came out. A guy arrived and looked at what I wanted which was 3 outside lights that needed to be hardwired and installed. The conversation went from : this can't be done- to well we can do it but it's going to be very difficult. He seemed very unsure and then said they would have to open the walls and I would need to get a drywall professional to fix it after they were finished. Wow, I can't stress enough how impressed I am with this company. I have had a completely awful week, and the icing on the cake was my electrical panel melting and losing power to my entire home. The timing could not have been worse. We had to go to a hotel for the night. The next day, I made the call, and within an hour, I had Ramon at my house checking the damage. He was able to get us up and running in less than an hour, being extremely thorough and explaining everything that happened. I had been on the phone for over 9 hours the day before between my solar company and utility company. Everyone I spoke to talked down to me, acting like I didn't know what I was doing, kept calling me "sweetie" and was cutting me off when I would explain to them that there was an issue with the breaker, and that I had even smelled smoke. They kept telling me that I just had a tripped breaker, then even sent me videos of how to flip a breaker. In the end, I trusted my gut and reached out to Villa Electric. I am so glad that I did. I'm very disappointed in the service we DIDN'T receive from this company!! I haven't had internet since January 12, 2022, long story short, we thought it was an Xfinity ( internet provider) issues, but it required an electrician. Now I live in apartment, so you would think my apartment would have someone on staff to deal with these kinds of issues, but no. After they didn't have luck finding an electrician that actually wanted to do the job, which was just rewiring the wires through the walls, so I would get service inside my unit. They said I can try to find someone myself. So now we're In March, I found Boyes Electric on Yelp, they had good reviews, seemed like they've worked on the issue that I was having. Called and spoke with Ramon, he come out 2 days later and assessed the issue, spoke with my apartment manager and she told him to send over a quote along with some additional info so they could add this company to their vendor list. And they would coordinate a time to get my issue fixed. Ramon seemed very very confident in getting the job done, so now I'm exciting cause I'll finally have internet! But no! Again long story short, there was delayed communication between both my apartment and Ramon, so I gave it some time for everyone to get everything they needed (paper work wise). But Ramon NEVER held up his part, he never sent over any of additional info requested, 1.5 weeks pass and I even called him and spoke with him and he said they had gotten busy and he will send it over that day, but he never did, just left us hanging!!! And when my apartment would call him, he wouldn't pick up, and not even return their emails. This was super super frustrating!!! If he didn't want to do the job, just say so! Great service, prompt and reliable. I wanted to have one of those heavy duty washer/dryer outlets repurposed to a normal outlet. I was given a fair quote, great communication. When the worker was installing it, he noticed that my electrical panel was completely mislabeled (unfortunately I used a different company to replace my panel). He also noticed my panel wasn't sealed correctly, and that there was massive amount of water damage to my 8 month old panel. He took detailed notes and showed me exactly what the issue was. Roman is honest and fair. I went through 4 bids for kitchen's lights and ceilingfan in livingroom. He is more reasonable and honest. The other 3 bids is very high. When Roman came in to bid. My wife ask questions. He gave honest answer and explain what will work or not. My wife want to put the lamp she like. He said it won't bright up the kitchen it should. He recommend not, but he willing to install for us. He explained what he recommend and why we need 8 lamps and how to position with lights. The lamp my wife like I installed in the diner room.
