I took my 11 year-old granddaughter with me and we walked in. They were extremely busy but very friendly and took care of us within a few minutes. I've been having my nails done here for several years. My tech, Diana, was exceptionally thorough and the compliments I received had me giving out her name and salon number. I never had issues with them and they looked amazing...money well spent! About a month ago, I called to make an appointment only to be told Diana no longer works there. Woman at the desk tells me I can use Eva or go somewhere else. This kind of ticked me off. I asked if Eva was as good as Diana since I'm particular, her response 'she works for me doesn't she'. I opted to schedule with Eva figuring how bad could it be. Let me tell you it was bad. The day I had them done, she took the skin off two fingertips with the drill when she stuck it under my nail. I went here with my daughter for the first time today today so she could use a gift card. The place was beautiful and clean. Lots of paint colors to pick from. The staff were all average friendly. However, I was very disappointed with my mani pedi. The paint didn't even come all the way down to the bed of my nails and after two coats, there were still very noticeable spots missing. I mentioned it and he did another coat. I got home and only a few hours later while brushing my son's teeth, I noticed the paint is already starting to come off in a couple places. For my feet, the leg/foot massage was great, but he barely cleaned my toenails like usual. I went home and it was very noticeable with such a light color polish that there was dirt on the edges and under my nail. (I know yuck on my part, but it's summer and I'm in flip flops all the time). I literally had to clean all around and under my nails when I got home. Also, the massage while drying my nails(I was looking forward to) was terrible. I asked him to go softer and he said sorry, but was still going too hard. The whole thing was weird and not enjoyable. I honestly wanted him to stop, but didn't want to say it. I put a $5 tip in his jar before leaving which he was peering into and seeming unsatisfied with. I'm giving a 3 star review only because I only had an experience with such a small part of the staff. Edit: I called them the next morning, because the nail polish just kept coming off. They told me to come in. They redid the paint on my finger nails and toenails with a different color since there must've been something wrong with the other one, and did everything the other guy missed on my toenails. Again, average friendly from all the staff and no actual apology. I tipped the girls and left, but was stopped on my way out by a nice lady that did give me a gift card and asked me to delete my rating if I was satisfied today. I told her I would update it instead. I went into Villa Nail Spa for the first time today for a pedicure. Parking is great, I love that there is a parking lot (Sometimes parking on Main St. is a pain to get out from). Walking into the spa it's so warm, open and beautiful. They have the most beautiful chandeliers hanging throughout the Nail Spa. Immediately I was greeted and brought over to the amazing selection of nail polish.. there is A HUGE selection. Seriously, any color your can think of they have it. After picking my color I was brought to my massage chair where I would be getting my pedicure. The space is clean and inviting! The massage chair was comfortable and the women who was doing my service was pleasant and handed me a spa menu all of the pricing is listed and what's included in the service. The prices are not outrageous I would say it's pretty competitive to what's around the area. I will be going back, I used to be a regular at another Nail Spa.. but I think this will be my new go to. My office just moved in near Villa nail spa, so after two days of moving and organizing - it was very comforting to be so relaxed and pampered. Made an appointment for a full set and a spa pedicure. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly greeted, they quickly took my temperature and had me use some hand sanitizer. After helping me find my color, Diana took me to get situated for the pedicure. The pedicure was expertly executed. Being enveloped in warm towels, bubbly water, scrubs and lotions was lovely. It was so relaxing, I almost fell asleep. Diana used the perfect pressure for my foot/leg massage and my toenails came out nicely. My feet are now in the best shape they've been in a year, so so soft . Diana then did a full set of gel UV nails for me. I wanted black coffins and that is exactly what she gave me. They turned out beautifully and I will definitely be returning often. I went for a gel manicure a few days ago. The manicure itself, is decent. However, my issue is with the "massages" you can get after your manicure or pedicure. First of all, it is INCREDIBLY tacky to have a "tip jar" where the massages take place. I have never gone to a salon where a tip was requested. Secondly, the guy who gave me the massage was a very heavy smoker and smelled like an ashtray. It was disgusting. In an industry where you are working closely with your customers, you should not have anyone who reeks of cigarette smoke working on them. Third, in all times that I've gone to a nail salon, I have never had anyone: a) Use lotion b) Go under clothing It was EXTREMELY CREEPY. I get when you go for a therapeutic massage and oils are used. That is fine. In a nail salon, there is NO NEED. Plus, the guy went too low on my back.....unnecessary. Even though the manicure was done well, I will never come back to this salon. If you go, forego the massage afterwards. Very stupid move to let a heavy smoker perform this. read more

This is the nicest, cleanest and most friendly nail salon. I drive all the way here from Shelton. The interior is charming and beautiful. Huge chandeliers. The staff is super friendly, and they speak very good English. The menu is very clear, so there are no hidden fees. The salon is CLEAN. I always see the men cleaning tools and booths immediately after clients. They have a TON of colors to choose from. The massages are wonderful. This is my favorite nail salon. Called the salon for a same day appointment on a rainy day in the summer and was happy to hear they could squeeze in 2 manicures in a few hours. We arrived on time and were seated and worked on right away. I had a powder manicure with tips added which only took a little less than an hour. This is definitely much shorter than most dip manicures I've gotten. I noticed right away that the shape and the texture/smoothness are not up to par. This would be more understandable for a cheaper powder manicure but this one run me about $50. I just don't think it's worth it for the price. There also wasn't much attention paid to my cuticles throughout the manicure. My mom on the other hand got a basic manicure with the long lasting polish. We have gotten the long lasting polish before and it is worth the extra $10 and we haven't found another salon that offers this service. She had an good experience. RUSH to pick a color (color is the single most important attribute so NO, I will not rush) RUSH to do the manicure so much so that she clipped my cuticles three times, twice to the point of bleeding, the other one, almost bleeding but still sore a week later... my cuticles are still hurting. Color is chipping on day three, it is gel. RUSH to clean the cuticles... pulling them off rather than clipping them. They are an absolute mess. Sharpen your tools. File: SUPER DIRTY with someone else's nails. I say cut straight across and she rounds the corners... I asked her to stop and she did but my thumbnail is round. You know how they take the file under your nail to make a straight line... didnt. I asked her to and am unsure if it was bc she didnt understand me or pretended to nit, but she never did it. Color not painted far enough down = come back sooner I will not come back. Many opportunities to do right by me because I like the place but the service is way poor; hasty and all about money. I'm not one to give review, but my experience here bothered me. This was my second time here. It's bright and clean and I felt comfortable (rather than the sketchy places I've walked into before). I have never felt like and inconvenience until I went to this place. I went on Thursday at about 1:30 in the afternoon, a lot quieter than my first experience. I was excited to relax and enjoy getting a mani pedi because it's been years since I've had both done. I was a walk in, no one there. The lady at the desk called to someone in the workers area to "work". She came over while I was picking nail colors. I knew the powder color, but had to find something to match... she had no input of a nail color to resemble a powder... then she showed me the wait to the chair, looking at her phone. I sit down and get comfortable, she doesn't even talk to me. Doesn't ask me how short to cut my nails or cuticles or if I have any issues. I "ordered the +1 scrub (the one above the basic $40), she throws some green goo on my legs and puts Saran Wrap on then and then looks at my foot in disgust. I haven't had a professional pedi in a long time, but I give myself a pedi at least once a month. She ended up getting the scrubby thing and giving the worst facial expressions that makes me feel relaxed. I asked her to trim my nails and she ended up cutting them so short it hurts... Move to the nails... I told her that my previous nail had chipped and my nails are going to be more oval than square. She trimmed and filed all my thumb is oval and the rest of my nails are square. She fanned my nails while in between coats and would look at her phone... All else was fine. She would even check my toes to see if they were done and told me to go to the fans. I was there for two minutes, checked myself, and they were fine. I left a great tip. 20%+ I finally leave, I wanted to say thank you, but she wasn't anywhere to be seen. Walk out the door and she's on her phone. It rubbed me the wrong way. I loved my previous service, but I don't think $115 is worth the service. read more

I have been coming here for the last year and have had ok experiences. Today I asked the man painting my nails to apply one more coat. He seemed annoyed and quickly painted my nails because I guess applying one more coat than the usual two is too much to ask for. He said ok you're done and walked away. I had to pick up my rings while my hands were still wet my purse and turn on the hand dryer myself. I asked the woman behind the register if she could get my shoes for me since the man walked away without helping me and while I was talking to her she turned her back towards me which is also so rude.
