I have lived around the area for a couple years but have never tried Villa Nova. I've heard very good things and I had to try it for myself. I ordered the thin crust with sausage and FRESH mushrooms. When I picked it up my pizza was coming right out of the oven. I ordered it well done and that's how I got it. This is what pizza should taste like. We've been reading reviews and seeing TV stories about Villa Nova, but have never been near Stickney, until yesterday. The pizza reminds me of my childhood favorites, no new-age toppings or "chefy" specials; just the best pizza I've had in years. Easy access off of the Stevenson Expressway and well worth the trip. You can call ahead for pick up, but have more fun by ordering at the counter and watching the crew work; they have a good time and call each other out for going too slow. I have been going to Villa Nova for 50 years. It is still the best pizza around bar none. If you people keep complaining about the rude service, then do something about it. Tell the manager!!! Better yet go to Little Caesar or Pizza Hut. Yes it may be thin and sometimes greasy, but the taste is still incredible. The pizza is great! Thin crust at its finest. You can easily eat more than you should. I went in today, I typically just pick up the food or get it delivered. This time we decided to dine in. I was throughly impressed with Eric. He talked to all the customers he was waiting on like family. He had strangers from different tables talking to each other. From a business perspective he was marketing items customers hadn't tried or been aware of. His attitude and service was by far the best I have ever had in the Berwyn/Stickney area. Villa nova should be glad to have him. Rarely do you go out to eat and enjoy your service more than your food. Especially with how great Villa Nova's pizza is. Way to be Eric! read more

Sanitation is poor, let alone the horrible services. Air conditioner is not working well so they had fan blowing at the kitchen table Girls cooking without chef hat on. cooks has no apron or chef hat on. Just be careful, you might get the "hair Pizza" too. Cashier or Owner cooks food and also touches the money without going back to wash hand since they are busy.........! Being told 25-30 minutes for my pizza, but actually waited for an hour. read more

Very expansive pizza, small pizza is $20 plus tax that is insane, I do not recomend this place because is super expansive and pizza is nothing special. Ok....heres my story....years ago someone in my life raved about this pizza. I listened and ignored for over a year. Then I was watching the local news reporting that the owner of villa nova, an old 'mobster' passed away........well thats all I had to hear. I ordered that weekend, and never ordered from anywhere else. The sausage and cheese is unbelievable. I grew up on great pizza.....capizzi's and grand slam. This is the worst pizza I have ever eaten....I ordered a large pizza, sausage,pepperoni,mushrooms and a combo, for $28.00...the pizza was so salty (maybe it was the pepperoni?)but extremely salty, it was so thin that the oil from the cheese seaped right thru the cardboard, so very oily as well.....the beef had a refrigerator smell....like it was day old or something like it......will never ord at this place again.....also too expensive for this nasty food. read more
