A local gem! If you live in the city of eastpointe and you haven't tried this place you are really missing out. It is delicious. I ordered the ritoni joes. The Italian sausage was on point. It was really an excellent dish. The portion size was very generous and you get a soup or a salad as a side. My wife ordered the manicotti and she said it was very good also. I ordered take out and the staff was very friendly. Food was ready real fast. The price was fair and it's what you'd expect to pay at a place like this. Excellent experience overall. I fulfilled a longtime need to finally eat inside. Not on the Eastside as much as I used to be, but had the tasty pizza back in the 90s. I added a photo but had the Tony's trio. Which is helpful to get a taste of 3 dishes. Most places only have two combos. Loved the presentation of it. Plus a salad, so nice deal and price. Could use a touch more flavor and food wasnt as hot as expected but enjoyed all three dishes nevertheless. Service was nice. Definitely would be here more regularly. Nice no frills coziness. Someone mention the dimmed lights which adds a nice romanticism for daters. Two sides of the room to chose from with a bar and TVs on one side. I had heard great things about this place, decided to stop in. Hoping it was an off day for them. I'd recommend you skip the Steak Scilliano, it was gross: flat and dry, the owner/manager saw I didn't eat it and took it off my bill. This place has been around a long time. Dining, .....let me say that the chef has lost their taste buds. I had chicken Alfredo, which tasted like nothing! It looks like it should have a luscious flavor but without a handful of salt and some serious shakes of what looks like powdered parmesan cheese, it has no flavor. Hubby had chicken piccante which tasted more like chicken Marsala, MAYBE, hard to tell. it seems the go to is the triple Tony meal, saw many dishes of that coming out, UNFORTUNATELY, I won't be back to try that. It seems like they try to separate the families with kids in one section and older adults in the other, by the bar and tv, not a bad idea. Mediocre wine was 6 bucks per glass, decent fill.Waitress was polite and helpful. Unfortunately our tab was incorrect, so check your receipt before you set down your credit card. Started off with mozzarella sticks which were good but the frozen type.. got it with a marinara sauce which was awesome... ordered the Tony Trio which came with fettuccine alfredo, lasagna and veal or chicken parmesan.. My girlfriend ordered a spinach and ricotta cheese stuffed ravioli with like a garlic cream sauce that was fantastic! I ordered the brushetta everytime even though they give you bread to start its to die for!! I upgrade my salad to a antipasto salad for $1.50 who can beat that? My daughter left a review on their website yesterday and somehow it disappeared. Kind of strange. I took my girls for a birthday dinner. Worst food ever went there years ago and it was awesome. I don't know what happened but my chicken was undercooked and look like a frozen processed. Pressed Patty . The wine butter sauce was congealed like jelly and Mushrooms over the top was literally raw, not even washed. You could see the dirt on the mushrooms The owner was rude when I tried to send my food back which I have never done in my whole life and was quite embarrassed about it and then charge me full price after she said she would comp it. I think my sauce is better of course but it's generations handed down!! Ok, so I ordered the trio and shared it with my kids. I would go back for the salad, bread, and ranch. The sauce was ok, but in the future I probably won't order anything with it on it. I'm superrr picky about the 'gravy', sooo this didn't cut it for me. But by all means I'm not saying it's terrible or bad. I'm just used to superb authentic 'took-all-day-to-cook' gravy (sauce). Alfredo sauce was great and the chicken was great. The employees are what won me over the most though. I was with my two kids, 4 and 1. They both were extra fussy, but they were very accommodating, patient, and kind. This first visit to the Villa will make room for a second. The impatient woman that seated us was the reason more stars were not added, she was impatient and talked to us in a clipped tone. Once I politely let her know she would not be talking to us any kind of way she calmed it down.. but too little too late. Now to the important part.; the food, the meal was delicious. The antipasto salad was really good, their signature creamy Italian dressing was tasty as well. I was served a humongous portion of spaghetti and meatballs. My husband and children's deep dish looked amazing.. definitely coming back for the pizza. Our server was pretty loud, but we chalked that up to a possible hearing loss, she was so pleasant that her loudness became endearing. I rarely visit the East Side of the Metro area, but if I was nearby I would definitely stop at Villa Restaurant. With the rise of chains and fast food, quality, cheap, Italian food seems to have disappeared over the years. Villa is an oasis in the desert of boring food where one can get good italian food for a good price. The menu consists of pasta and specialty meat dishes. The cheapest option is to pick a pasta and pair it with a number of different sauces. There are also some combination plates and then the more expensive typical big Italian dishes. I tried the cheese ravioli and gnocci with the palmino (pink) sauce. I thought the sauce was excellent, one of the best sauces I've had in a long time. The gnocci was a little doughy and chewy, but the ravioli was good. The entree comes with soup or salad. I recommend the house dressing which was a fabulous creamy garlic Italian dressing. A bread basket is also included which I tend to expect from a nice restaurant. The atmosphere is casual, nice and clean. The service was decent but not memorable. The music featured such Italian favorites as "Mambo Italiano" and "Funniculi, Funnicula" to give you an idea. Overall, a very good experience with good Italian food. read more

So i made a carry out order, but when I got there, my order had just been picked up by someone else! The staff nearly fell over each other trying to help and remaking my food. They were so sweet, very apologetic. It turned out that the person who got my order had practically the same name as me! That never happens! How many Iggys are there? Well, speaking through a mask in a busy restaurant, my name sounded like his. Oh well, I didn't mind really. Mistakes happen, I have been a bartender and waitress. I understand how busy a Friday evening can get. I couldn't believe how wonderful the staff was when it was obviously an honest mistake. The owner even insisted that I take some dessert for my family! WOW!!!!!!! This place has been here forever, never been, but after reading all the great yelp reviews we had to try it out! Parking is a bit tricky on the weekends, but do not let that discourage you. We went on a Friday night, 6:30, expecting a huge wait. It was busy, but we were able to be seated right away. We asked our server what she recommended, and she said "Everything is great, and fresh. If you order chicken or veal it will be fresh, not a processed piece of meat!" I'm sold! :-) The Hubs and I had a VERY VERY hard time picking what we wanted! Everything sounds delicious!! We kept peeking at the food being delivered, and once we saw a dish it would make us change our mind again and again. Our meals came with soup or salad. Hubs had minestrone soup. Yummy! Homemade! I was like eat soup Grandma (not mine, cause she was a horrible cook) made! Hubs inhaled it! I had the salad with their house-made dressing! I am a huge fan of Olive Garden dressing......this puts it to shame!! They need to sell it, if they don't already!! It was creamy, seasoned very well, with a bit of tang, but not overpowering with vinegar! I could have just had a salad and been super satisfied! Dinner: Hubs had the Gnocchi and Ravioli (meat) Combo with meat sauce. I didn't know you could get that much filling into a ravioli! They were HUGE! I ended up getting the mostacholi with meat sauce, and I added two meatballs. (You can't go to a good Italian joint and not get a meatball!!) Meatballs were super!! Good seasoning, juicy (not greasy), and a perfect size. The meat sauce was very nice, and of course there was enough for two!! The Villa is one of those hidden gems in the Metro area and I almost don't want to clue anyone else into it . If you want a family-friendly Italian place with reasonable prices and great food, this is it. I've never had a bad meal here, and they have specials most days of the week. All of the pastas are great, and the pizza is an unexpected winner. They treat my little one like a princess, and we've been lucky enough to snag some Groupons/DealChicken coupons. We've tried a bunch of other places around and the quality has eventually fallen off, making us try something else -- The Villa is rock solid and all the food is great and we always know to expect a tasty meal. Is it fancy, does it have a strolling accordion player? No. Can you get a solid plate of ravioli or gnocchi, or an amazing pizza and antipasto salad? Yes! If you come here you will understand, as others already do, that this is THE best Italian restaurant on the east side, possibly all of SE Michigan. When you first walk in you can imagine yourself in a scene from Goodfella's, if only because the decor is quite a bit like the restaurant from that movie, and they unapologetically play tunes from the movie's soundtrack in the background. It makes for an ambiance that nobody can even get close to. This time around I had something off of the Special's Menu, which is different for the days of the week. I opted for the Tony's Favorites, which included; Fettuccine Alfredo, Veal Parmesan and Lasagne al Forno (pic uploaded). Everything was spot-on and there was, as always, too much to eat. Starting with the salad, you have to get the House Dressing. I'm not sure how to describe it - almost a creamy Italian, but not? Anyway it only has one rival in my opinion and that's at Loui's Pizza in Hazel Park. Regardless, get the House Dressing. And yes, before you ask, there were breadsticks and some amazing bread as well. Service is always good, even when it gets busy. I line this Italian restaurant, but the service was quite slow and the place wasn't busy. I went about an hour and a half before closing and I wasn't cashed out until after closing. Our server, Liz was warm, helpful, and fast; all of our food was DELICIOUS; and the prices were as expected (somewhat high, but not outrageous). I had a Tiramisu Martini (OMG yes!), and we shared the baked ravioli appetizer (Yum!). He got the Tony's Trio with salad, and I had the Manicotti with chicken noodle (all Wow!)
