Great family restaurant that has stood the test of time. Huge portions with reasonable prices. An older crowd, which to me is always the sign of good food with great value. We had steak Siciliano, Manicotti, & carry out of chicken parmigiana. Fast & friendly service, as always. Frank Sinatra in the background. Been coming here since I was a kid. True comfort food at a neighborhood gem.

I am rating first in accessibility then quality. There are a fair number of handicap designated spaces - however there are concrete curbs placed so close together that as a wheelchair use you have to go clear out to the street and come up the side walk- and then that is blocked by a narrowing of the path. So unless someone is going to pick up the wheelchair/scooter no easy entry. Likewise the restroom was completely inaccessible, I am able to walk a bit and it was very tight. We had a very large group and the service was great The pasta not so much. The gnocchi was really chewy and the ravioli also was very undercooked, actually chewy.

We loved it!! Had the sampler lasagna fettuccine chicken parmigiana Stuffed! Calamari was good cheese bread delicious Tiramisu soo yummy Hubby loved the minestrone! We will def be back Service was on point!

I have heard rave reviews about Villa for years and I finally stopped in for a carry out order. What I love about Villa is they offer countless fresh and homemade Italian meals at an affordable price. I ordered the mostaccioli with meat sauce, which also came with a garden salad and bread. The meal was $12 and I had enough food for 3 days! The salad was fresh and the dressing was also homemade (I had Italian dressing!) Even my boyfriend was snagging bites of the pasta! 10/10 recommend! My boyfriend had the chicken parmesan, which came with two perfectly breaded chicken breasts. His meal also came with a side of angel hair pasta. The salad options here are also fresh and homemade. He loved his chicken noodle soup! Was so comforting on a rainy day! Everything tasted amazing. The meat sauce here is superb. Can't wait to dine in soon with my family!

Because of this, my experience with many other menu items at Salvatore Scallopini on Greater Mack Ave. is limited. That said, I have 2 favorite meals that I hope never disappear from the menu. The first is the Filleto Diana, which is my choice when I celebrate my birthday or Mother's Day. The steak, which are two beef tenderloins, that are sautéed with mushrooms, scallions and garlic in a sauce of brandy cream has been perfection, each time I've ordered it. In May of this year, 2026, I ordered take-out, instead of dining in, and was a little apprehensive because my experience with using take-out at most other restaurants has been that the amount of food, delivered, is usually disappointingly less than when I've dined-in. My experience with this take out that my son picked up for me, was pleasantly surprising in that the restaurant had not skimped on any of the items ordered, a total of 3 complete meals for 3 people. My steak was cooked perfectly, arriving with the warm pink center that "Medium" calls for. It was still very warm, tender, cut like butter, and flavorful. The flavors of the mushrooms, scallions, garlic and brandy cream melded together, enhancing, not covering up, the flavor of the steak. The garlic and scallions did not overpower the mushrooms, and the brandy cream added richness to the dish as a whole. I was not able to finish the entire steak at one sitting, and I even had skipped ordering the soup in order to not "fill up" too soon with the accompanying bread that I love, and side of pasta in a tomato sauce. I ate a little of the excellent mashed potatoes that were included with the meal, and saved the rest for later. The meal was delicious!!! Since the steak still had a pink center, it remained tender and moist after reheating it , later, along with the mashed potatoes and pasta. My other favorite meal that I have ordered several times is "Chicken Tosca", which has a very delicately breaded coating, not too heavy, and barely noticeable, just the right amount to help the sauce coat the chicken and give it additional flavor. The chicken breast is sautéed with mushrooms and a lemon wine sauce. I've rarely added my own salt or pepper to this meal, except just once, where I felt it needed a little boost in the flavor. I'd rather have a meal served with a little less salt, than too much, as salt and pepper can easily be added to taste, after the dish is prepared. I have ordered the Chicken Tosca both as dine-in, and delivered, and, as with the Filleto Diana, the take out meal had as much food as the dine-in meal. The restaurant happily did not skimp! Maybe in the future, I will order a different meal here, whenever I need a new taste experience.........Naw...!

I like the kale salad, but wish they put less dressing on it. The salmon on the special menu was great, cook with shrimp, and the creamy sauce was very lovely. We were celebrating a birthday, so we decided to pull out all the stops -- and I'm really glad we did. I'll say right up front that the prices are a little higher than what I would normally spend on a meal, but honestly, it was absolutely worth it. They started us off with garlic bread that was incredibly delicious, and from there the experience only got better. Our server, Andrew, was fantastic. He mentioned that they might have been a little short-handed and apologized that he felt he couldn't be as attentive as he normally would be, but honestly, we never would have known. He did an excellent job keeping our water glasses full and making sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. At our table, we ordered the Chicken al Pastaio, Spaghetti Carbonara, Gnocchi Romana, and I had the Chicken Parmigiano. Every dish was excellent. I sampled a few bites from the other plates and genuinely enjoyed all of them. The real highlight for me, though, was the Beggar's Purse appetizer. It was pasta filled with goat cheese and pear, and it was absolutely divine. I can completely understand why they also offer it as a main course because I could have happily eaten an entire plate of it. For dessert, we shared cheesecake and tiramisu. The cheesecake was more traditional than what you'd typically get at places like The Cheesecake Factory, which caught me a little off guard at first, but it was still excellent. The tiramisu was also delicious, and we all got a good laugh when one of our guests accidentally inhaled a little cocoa powder off the top and started coughing and sneezing at the table. It honestly just added to the fun of the evening. At the end of the night, nothing we ordered disappointed, the service was wonderful, and it turned out to be a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. We'll definitely be back.
