Perfect breakfast, brunch, lunch spot. Friendly people & vibes, warm & inviting ambiance, and delicious food. I was torn between the Avocado Gobbler and the Fried Egg, so I asked for a recommendation. While the Avocado Gobbler is their most popular, the Fried Egg is yummy & unique, plus this was my breakfast/brunch, so I opted for it. Stopped by Village Bagels and grabbed a bacon, egg, and cheese on an asiago bagel with a side of potatoes and a hot coffee. The sandwich hit the spot. It was cheesy, crispy, and just the right amount of savory. Potatoes were golden and comforting, and while they only serve hot coffee, it was fresh and smooth. Immediately upon walking inside the business, I felt very welcomed. The layout is open and very inviting. The menu board is easy to understand and the employees were helpful in navigating my selections. I ordered an everything bagel with bacon and American cheese. ok we were in town for a wedding at Della Terra, and being a couple days early had to stop somewhere for breakfast and I luv a good breakfast sandwich on a bagel so we came here. Great spot, people very friendly, quite a variety of options on the menu and the bagels were fantastic. The bagels had a nice toasty crust on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, my eggs were cooked perfectly and I had mine with cheese yummm. We had a group of 7 and everyone was more than happy we stopped in. I liked it so much I returned the next day for lunch, who doesn't like a good bagel sandwich for lunch, I would have gone a 3rd time but they were closed on the holiday 9/1. It was a great stop on the way out of town. Glad we stopped when we did because it did get busy! My husband and I got sandwiches that we built and they were so good! You can build your own bagel with a large variety of ingredients, how awesome! I had a jalapeño cheese bagel with sausage, pepper jack cheese, and egg and topped it with the in house hot sauce. I also had a maple bagel with maple walnut cream cheese and I love the generosity on the cream cheese! Super plus that the employee was very nice and took the time to have a pleasant conversation with us, and gave us awesome recommendations around Colorado. I wish I could go back for sure! read more

We had hoped for a great breakfast spot. What we found was a non friendly, attitude inspired below average spot. Found it odd when asking about their coffee that they all had a to go Starbucks cups. You might want to follow their lead and pass on this spot and go to the Starbucks next door. read more

This is spot for breakfast or lunch! Service is excellent, and the food was delicious. We tried the Chicago Dog (on a bagel bun!), Caprese bagel, smoked salmon bagel and a maple sugar bagel with cinnamon cream cheese. Everything was perfect. The bagel options and sandwiches were extensive. I had avocado, tomato, cream cheese on Asiago bagel and it was delicious!! It was served warm. Exactly what I needed for my breakfast. Service was great as well. Cashier and server were both friendly. The restaurant itself is spacious and very clean. There's parking lot in front of it so plenty of space to park. Really good bagels with a creative and extensive menu. Friendly staff, which is no guarantee in mountain tourist towns - in fact it's rare. Loved the rosemary salt bagel - I've never seen that before. Bagel had a great texture and flavor. Good tea choices and coffee. Sadly, when visiting Estes Park for our honeymoon, we stopped by Village Bagel only to be greeted with utter disrespect from one of the coworkers with an earbud in his ear and a white shirt. We thought a substitute ham for turkey wouldn't cause much trouble, however, we were terribly wrong. We received disrespectful sighs and frustrations for ordering our meal from this employee. The owner seems to be quite welcoming and hospitable towards his customer however, which we were so happy to see. I'd recommend this place for the food and location. However, I'd be cautious about the customer service and the lack of welcoming here from some of the employees. Thanks! read more

The tomatoes slid right off every time I tried to take a bite. It was just severely under-seasoned and really didn't have any flavor at all. I would actually come back here because I do like restaurant concepts like these that offer different experiences throughout the day. A great place to hang out and recharge. I will stick with breakfast and coffee next time!

I assume it was the chicken fried steak. We didn't get it. My husband got the steak sandwich. Very large portions, I got the Longs Peak Turkey club. Again -- generous portions. The sweet potatoes accompanying it were good -- the sandwich was scrumptious. I think the added grilled onions took it up a notch -- or should I say Notchtop. That was what we ordered to split the second time we came. We had the kindest server both times. Fun fact: there once was a resident elk there with this same name. Does anyone know if it was named after this restaurant?

Parking is somewhat limited, but we arrived early on weekday mornings and had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant is charming from the outside, with a colorful "Greetings from Estes Park" old postcard mural that makes for a great photo opportunity. Inside, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and both days we were lucky enough to snag a window booth. Our first experience set the tone right away. We walked in just as a server was arriving for her shift. Noticing nobody was at the host stand, she seated us before even putting away her personal belongings. That's customer service. For breakfast, I ordered a special that I can't seem to find on the menu now--an Eggs Benedict with pulled pork. I debated swapping the greens for potatoes but decided to be healthy. To my surprise, the dish was served on crispy potato pancakes instead of an English muffin, which meant I got the best of both worlds. The combination was fantastic, and honestly, I think Eggs Benedict works even better on potato pancakes than on bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. The next morning, I made myself try something different, even though I was tempted to order the same thing again. I chose the Cambridge Skillet: smoked ham and bacon with jack and cheddar cheeses over seasoned ranch potatoes, topped with two over-easy eggs and creamy hollandaise. It was delicious and hearty, although my first day's breakfast still edged it out as my favorite. I also sampled my friend's whole wheat blueberry pancake. It was enormous and surprisingly flavorful. I especially appreciated that many of their sweeter breakfast options come with eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. It's a nice balance and makes for a more satisfying meal. The food, service, and atmosphere were consistently excellent on both visits. The Egg of Estes quickly became one of our favorite breakfast spots in Estes Park, and it's definitely somewhere we'll return on future trips.
