I and my husband had to remove the bacon from our two Evelyn breakfast sandwiches due to severe undercooking. The ends were raw. I expect more from this place, do better

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love this place! It's such a good brunch place on a nice day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have outdoor seating with a view of Cobb's Hill Park.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food options range from typical bakery food like pastries, to brunch options like egg sandwiches prepared many different ways, quiche, BLT, and avocado or ricotta toast. They have many different bread options for the sandwiches that they bake and sell themselves. My favorite egg sandwich is the Lilly with arugula. They also have a wide variety of coffee drinks, teas, and smoothies. My favorite drink is the strawberry bliss VBC cooler, which is similar to Starbucks strawberry refresher.

Visited this gem on a recent trip to the Rochester area, hoping to get a little work done over coffee and breakfast. First of all--they have an entire breakfast sandwich menu. Breakfast sandwiches are my favorite breakfast item and their menu looked amazing. I was this close *pinches fingers together* to ordering one but at the last moment decided for one of their healthier breakfast options--the oatmeal with fresh berries. I travel frequently and so healthy options are always welcome. The oatmeal was perfectly cooked and the berries were sweet and fresh. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They have several sidewalk patio tables and inside they have large communal tables where you can easily sit, enjoy your coffee and bites, and get a little work done. With the communal table situation, might not be the best spot for a business meeting that you'd like privacy for but while I was there a book club was meeting as was another club, which was fun to see. Get to it!

I used VB to cater a work event. Ordering was easy. Service was great. The selections were perfect. And I appreciated the range of options for a good spread. I didn't get cups with the coffee, which wasn't a huge deal, I just wish I had asked.

Great bakery. The bread is to die for. Tried their sourdough and their olive bread. Crust is perfectly chewy. Their sandwiches are delicious. Cheese steak, one of the best I've had. Their pastries are also so good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice open seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommended

Bread at village bakery is AWESOME! Their bagguettes are so tasty. The smoothies are super flavorful. The place is usually busy but quick! Nice and clean and lots of room to sit around!

Banana Brulee Steel cut oats To-go

Stopped in the morning with the intention of just getting a latte and ended up getting a full breakfast and dessert for later. This location is so clean, fresh and bright. There is an upper level for additional inside dining as well as a couple outdoor tables. They have online ordering, so you can come in and pick up your order on the to-go rack which looked really convenient. I had a French toast latte which is sweetened with maple syrup and is always a nice and well made option here. I saw the banana brulee steel cut oats and had to try it. You get to pick your milk option and they will place it on the side when taking to-go. The banana brulee did have some nice crispy brulee topping but I wish I had some additional brown sugar in the steel cut oats itself - if you like sweeter oatmeal then I would request brown sugar or maybe maple syrup on the side. I saw the funfetti sandwich cookie on my way in and was so excited! After I waited for my order and had eaten half the steel cut oats, I looked into my bag with the cookie and realized it was an oatmeal whoopie pie, not the funfetti cookie. I noted the mix-up to the staff and they quickly fixed the problem and let me keep the oatmeal whoopie pie as well. The funfetti cookie is very fun, almost a citrusy flavoring with rich buttercream - so good and enough to share (you won't want to). The oatmeal whoopie pie is the upper scale, way better version of a "Little Debbie" with a cream cheese like butter cream texture filling. They have breakfast and lunch options, multiple coffee and espresso drinks and smoothies. Obviously, they have so many bread and bakery items to choose from and all look like great options. Simple parking in the front. I really appreciated the kind staff and wonderful customer service. Look forward to stopping in again.

We arrived within the first couple hours of opening, so there was a large selection of goods to choose from; everything looked so good! ... And if smelled wonderful too! However, I did not like that nothing had prices listed, at least not that my friends or I were able to locate. It also would have been a nice touch if they offered coffee and/or tea to go with their items... but, since they are more of a takeout bakery (only having outdoor seating), it may not make sense for them. I opted for a savory option of a breakfast sandwich made on a jalapeno scone with egg, perfectly crispy bacon and melty cheddar cheese. My friends got a pastry and a muffin. My sandwich was really tasty & fresh; I thought the price was kinda steep, coming in around $15. My one friend enjoyed her pastry. My other friend had a very hard time getting the wrapper to peel off of her muffin, losing pieces of muffin in order to remove all the wrapper. I would consider visiting again, but would really like for them to have pricing listed somewhere.

All the pastries were beautifully made, and not too sweet (the pinnacle of Asian parent compliments when it comes to sweets LOL) Jasmine and pear scone: fruity, a touch of florals at the end, and very moreish. I was supposed save half for another day...let's just say that didn't happen. Again, not too sweet, with a rice-based whipped topping . I kind of wish the mango flavor was a little stronger, but it feels like the flavors are naturally achieved rather than with artificial flavoring so I can't complain.
