Village Baking Co. is my go-to for pastries. Their coffee bar is also great. The staff is always friendly and helpful, although the last few times I've been, they seem to be a little understaffed during the busier weekend hours with only one person working the coffee bar. I usually don't mind waiting. Their spinach & feta croissant is my favorite and their sweet pastries are also always great. It's a nice vibe to sit and chat with a friend too.

Such a delicious bakery in Oak Cliff. The jalapeño | cheddar | bacon croissant, the butter croissant and the almond croissant were fantastic. Can't wait to try more!

When I came to this coffee shop I was excited to try their food and their baked goodies. The place was pact so I was expecting the drinks and the food to be good! Unfortunately my food wasn't so tasty. I got the croissant and a Matcha drink. The croissant was just dry and just a regular croissant. I already am not a fan of matcha but I don't mind trying it here and there at different locations to see if I like it. No I don't like their matcha AT ALL. The place is cute and that's about it.

We grabbed lattes and croissants before an early morning road trip. Everything looked delish! I really miss having access to beautiful bakeries like Village Baking Co. I wish they had a location closer to me. Will not rule out revisiting each time I'm nearby a location. Vibe was calm and peaceful in the 7a hour, service was great!

If you need a pick me up this is your place. The pretzel dough chocolate croissant changed my life and unfortunately I will never see croissants the same. I also tried the chocolate kouing-amann and it was buttery and flakey and delicious. The cashier was patient and kind while I battled my indecision, and if you need a spot to sit they've got indoor and outdoor options. This bakery is worth the hype.

Absolutely amazing! Sometimes I walk here from my apartment on nice days then enjoy a good coffee and breakfast on their cute patio. They are very friendly inside and quick with the coffee. I've got coffee and tea here before and it is all good. For breakfast, I usually get the veggie quiche. It is so creamy and delicious with the eggs, cheese, mushrooms, and spinach. I always say I'm going to try something new but have to keep getting this. The crust is perfect with it too. I also got the chicken salad croissant to have for lunch. Every bite was delicious and it was a large portion. The croissant was so flaky you can eat them by theirselves. But with the chicken salad made a very good lunch.

Popped in here for a quick treat after lunch. I grabbed a chocolate almond croissant and my dad grabbed an eclair. They put both items in the toaster without asking us. When i went to eat my croissant later it was very crispy and tough. Im hoping that some time it a ziplock bag will soften it up a bit so i can enjoy it.

The rest of the food items are in the bag but the coffee tasted like milk. I could barely taste the coffee. The almond pear tart was alright. If it's supposed to be eaten cold like I ate it, the pears were fresh but aside from that it didn't really have any distinct flavors. I wish I had a picture of the banana muffin but my boyfriend really really liked it. The chocolate almond crossaint had an after taste, not sure if it was the vanilla or glaze for the almonds but we did not enjoy it. Aside from that, the place looked busy and it was a nice aesthetic. The workers were very nice. I probably would not come again though because the pastries and coffee weren't anything special.

So, I try to keep the carbs to a minimum--for the sake of my blood sugar and digestion. But let's be real... I'm not going "no carb" anytime soon. Especially not when there's a croissant calling my name, LOL.! Enter: Village Baking Co--one of my happy places in Dallas :-). It's a cozy little bakery with Parisian vibes and some of the best sweet + savory treats around. The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh-baked goodness just wraps around you like a warm blanket. My go-to faves: *traditional croissant--flaky, buttery, goodness. *lemon blueberry or zucchini muffin--chef's kiss *flourless chocolate cake--rich and kind of addictive. *the chicken salad sandwich--light and tasty. * classic baguette--it's a classic, say no more. Now, let's talk parking... a little stressful, not gonna lie. There are technically four spots in front, but only two are marked for the bakery. The lot is tight, and I've definitely driven past a couple times and went home when I couldn't find a space :-(. These days, I sometimes just "DoorDash it" and keep things easy. There's indoor and outdoor seating if you dine in. And, if you snag a table and a parking spot, it's a lovely little treat-yourself moment. Of course I'll be back, lol. Happy Baking!

It's my first time visiting VBC, and Andy and Joaquin were super sweet and awesome! They're super friendly and gave me good recommendations! I loved their cortado with honey, cinnamon and oat milk! The vibes of the shop were super cozy I stayed there for a while to wait on my dad who was at the barber shop next door! I didn't get any food this time but the bakery items look super yummy, I'll probably grab some next time I'm there! I'd give this place 10 stars if I could! Definitely coming back! :)

After a long flight, i definitely needed some breakfast and was craving a croissant and I found this cute place! I have some others on my list to go to but this one is very close to the airport so it's a good stop by. This would be a good place to catch up with friends or study for a bit. The bathrooms were clean and it was too busy (even if it was Friday morning). I'll definitely be back for some more tasty treats!

Village Baking off Oak Lawn is a one of several locations around Dallas. This is a good thing because their baked goods are excellent, and this is a very convenient location for people who live in the area. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - While the location is convenient, the parking is not. Good luck finding a parking spot - because there are only 4 spots. Inside is a warm, cozy bakery with a few tables for patrons. Village Baking's best feature will be the baked goods sitting behind the glass. The only problem is choosing what you want to eat. 1/2 Star (no parking) Service - The staff is great and patient. The staff will help you make some selections, choose the appropriate packaging, and will even craft you a great cup of coffee. Nothing but good vibes here. 1 Star. Food - Every item is good, from the flaky croissants or the many cakes. But I go to Village Baking for Kouign-amann and laminated brioche. The Kouign-amann combines sweet, salty, sticky, buttery, crispy, flaky, and tender elements. It has a hint of caramel. Try this: carefully break into its flaky center, take a bite, then chase it with black coffee. Repeat until there is none left. The laminated brioche also has multiple layers of butter which results in a flaky and layered texture. When you sink your teeth into the buttery brioche it unravels in delicate, flaky layers with every bite. Also goes well with black coffee. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Only if I'm in the area. The good news is Village Bakery has multiple locations throughout Dallas and the pastries are all excellent. The bad news is the Oak Lawn location isn't as accessible as other location. I'll only be back if I have no other options. 1/2 Stars.

Staying open late worked in my favor as I got through DJing a show. The establishment is modeled like it's someone's house who just wanted to turn it into a food spot. Very welcoming, the lady at the register who took my order was nice. While every selection made it hard for me to choose from, I ended up going with the Cloud 9 - butterscotch, caramel, brown sugar meringue. I took the slice to go as I was heading back to Tulsa. It was so good. Every bite. I couldn't get enough. The combination of those 3 components went well together. As I was looking up the menu on their website, I noticed that none of the selections were the same from when I had my slice. That indicated to me that they have a rotating menu. That's going to make me a returning customer because I can have something new to look forward to.

The blueberry scone was fresh and although I only pinched a small bite from it, I could tell it was moister and more flavorful than most, well done! I wanted to try the Chocolate Kouign Amann, since I had no idea what it was, lol. It was packed with chocolate, but it wasn't fresh, the wonderful flaky pastry was rock hard. And now the quiche - I wanted SO much to love it - it was bursting with ham and the pastry looked lovely. But the pastry was SO hard that I couldn't even cut into it! I wanted to eat it with a fork but had to pick it up to bite the top part, since it was like wood. And the entire bottom of the quiche was drenched - when I bit into a bite from the lower part, all this water came squirting out - every bite that touched the bottom part of it was squirting water! I was so grossed out, why was this happening? Unlike my fave place La Madeleine, they only send you a slice, so sadly that was my one and only experience with Village Bakery quiche. Really wish it would have been better, the other reviews showed promise.
