Love this La Casita location! The weekend pastries and menu are fantastic- they have a consistently high quality seasonal rotation. This season they have a blackberry miso creampuff that is absolutely to dieeeeee for! Coffee is also always really good, although I do prefer their hot drinks over the iced ones.

Great breakfast, brunch or lunch spot. The portions are massive so I'd recommend splitting with someone. The steak and eggs has a phenomenal flavor and was cooked to perfection with a charred onion salsa. The Cubano was great with a good portion of sauce. Does not come with sides so we ordered sweet potato fries - they were topped parm and grilled peppers. They could have been crispier but they were good. The bourbon fried chicken sandwich was massive! Fried chicken was perfect and the jalapeño ranch added the right zest and was also on house made focaccia. We also had a savory scone and the texture was perfect. If you're a scone person, you know what I mean - not too hard, not too soft. Great spot!!

Wow! La Casita Coffee spot is a true hidden gem you must check out. This amazing coffee shop/restaurant is located inside the largest Half Price Books in Dallas, which is also their original location. Frankly when I was told there was a coffee shop inside the bookstore I wasn't expecting much, but damn I was wrong! First of all, the coffee shop itself is super cool and has this speakeasy tiki bar vibes to it. Their menu is Latin American inspired and they have an amazing selection of baked goods. They do have some available sitting inside the restaurant, but you can also sit at one of the tables inside the store, as well as their patio area. Since I am not much of a breakfast person I decided to try their Cubano sandwich. First of all the sandwich was huge and packed with delicious meat. You could tell the bread was freshly made and overall it paired perfectly with the meat. Frankly, it was probably the best Cuban sandwich I've had in years! My friends ordered their chilaquiles which are a very popular menu item and said they were delicious (I'll take their word for it). Highly recommend checking out this hole-in-the-wall coffee shop!

La Casita Coffee is such a cute little spot tucked in a corner of Half Price Books. The spot is so warm and cozy. Cafe seating is reserved for dine-in only, but there's seating right outside of the bakeshop for to-go orders. All of the pastries looked divine, but I went with the pesto parmesan croissant since I wasn't craving anything too sweet. It was decent, nothing memorable in my opinion. One of my friends tried the matcha latte and liked that it wasn't too sweet. Another one of my friends tried the hibiscus ember berry lemonade and said that it was sweet and fruity. They both enjoyed their drinks! There's plenty of lot parking available. I don't think I'd come here for the sole purpose of grabbing a drink or a bite. However, it is a great spot to grab a bite while browsing at Half Price Books, and I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm there!

This is a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop/cafe. The ambiance of the place is really nice as it is situated inside of Half-Price Books with a wooden interior. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There is wifi and a couple of outlets for those that want to work from the cafe. The food was good. I liked the chilaquiles. I thought the french toast and eggs were okay! Both the coffee and the matcha were really good! Highly recommend the matcha! They also have a weekend specialty pastries menu that has some pretty cool items I need to swing back around to check out! Sam provided exceptional service, constantly checking up to see if the food was good or if more water was needed. She was super kind, and she told me more about good menu options!

Overall everything about experience was positive except for the wait time. Our server was helpful and funny and overall a good time. The lumpia was really good; I would come back just for that alone.

I was impressed with La Casita Coffee--this place is a gem. Their cold brew is my new favorite. I ordered it with a splash of cream, cinnamon, and sugar-free brown sugar syrup, and it blew past Starbucks and even my usual go-tos like Merit and LDU. Rich, smooth, and well balanced. They use eco-friendly cups which I appreciated! The pastries were also impressive. I stopped here after a run at white rock lake looking for a sweet to treat myself with. I took home the cinnamon cruffin and a pop tart--both were flavorful, and just the right amount of indulgent. The service was very friendly and entertained my questions helping me choose between the many pastry options available! They have weekend exclusive items, so if you're looking for a wider variety to choose from, check them out on a Saturday or Sunday. Located inside of half price books - this could be a great date or hangout location to grab a bite to eat or a coffee and then browse the store! La Casita has officially earned a spot in my regular rotation.

Yes, go for brunch! Yes, make a reservation ahead of time! Yes, get a pastry item with your meal! Chilaquiles were on point and had a nice kick. Coffee was delicious, I had a vanilla latte. Service was friendly, can't wait to come back!

I love getting coffee & brunch here before book shopping at half price books! It does get super busy & packed every time I've been but it's not a bad wait since we can browse around the book store while waiting to get seated. The food here and the baked goods are so fresh & yummy! My favorite dishes were the crispy potato sandwich!! A must get! And the banana praline pancakes were delicious as well. The staff is always super friendly even when it's busy. The seating area is pretty small which is why there is always a wait to get seated. But if you don't want to wait, you can always just order at the counter and take it to-go!

This spot is located inside Half Price Books, so it was great to dine in, enjoy a treat, work on my laptop, and then browse the books afterward. My latte was perfect, and the cinnamon bun was sweet and warm. I love that it's dark and moody with a fun "tiki" theme. The server was very attentive, and you can tell all of the employees have a good vibe.

I never really take the time to write reviews but my husband and I stopped on here to hang out before going to airport and holy COW!!!! So amazing. Everyone was so nice I believe the servers name was Tess and was so kind. It's connected to a library with a huge selection but most importantly the best coffee I've ever had. We both got the Abuela's mocha. 10000/10. And the avacado toast and chilaquiles. It was an amazing ambiance very chill and quiet. Felt like home. definitely stop if you get the opportunity.

So glad this opened inside HPB! it's such a great addition. My go to is the salted honey matcha and the ham and cheese quiche, both of which are amazing. It does get very crowded on the weekends so if you're planning on sitting in, plan to arrive early. The workers are very helpful on the menu, and they have example pastries on the counter to help you decide. Love this location!

Good custom hibiscus tea that the barista mixed for me to avoid caffeine. Breakfast tacos from Tacodeli. It smells very clean like a hotel lobby. Quiet without loud music. Good quiet place to work from. Free WiFi.

They've got great murals on the walls and some solid merch for sale that definitely catches your eye. The matchas were amazing, crafted really well and not overly sweet like some places try to do. You can tell they take pride in getting the flavor right. Service was on point. They were patient, answered all our questions about the different matcha options, and never made us feel rushed. The lobby was full of people posted up working or hanging out, and honestly the vibe was not bad at all -- kind of chill, kind of creative, the type of spot you could stay in for a while. I had been there about 5 to 6 minutes when the associate finally said I'll be with you in just a moment. I came to order a menu item that was recommended to me, the Banana Matcha Frappe but wanted oat milk. The associate at the counter said that they can't make it with almond milk, which I never said almond milk I asked for oat milk & yet she offered me whole milk. That defeats the purpose of me requesting oat milk. Furthermore after examining the menu, it looks like maybe I should've requested the latte but she never suggested that because I see oat milk as an option with the latte as opposed to the frappe. I left without ordering.

I went to visit their original location on Northwest Hwy. conveniently located right next to the Dallas Police Northwest Division. Fun fact: did you know that they have a roastery next to their original location? How amazing! However, that one is by appointment only, so check with them for more details. Shoutout to the White Rock Coffee staff for welcoming us back with open arms, as well as introducing new drinks to us that were of high demand and interest. One, however, that really did catch my eye, was my all time-favorite: the White Rocker, which included two shots of espresso, whole milk, and their signature White Rock syrup. My friend on the other hand, got the Lone Star Latte -- chai with a hint of that White Rock syrup that they put in there as well! Because of their roastery, all of their coffee beans are sourced from local partners and cooked and roasted right here in the heart of Dallas. I'm just really glad that I was able to really catch up with the times that there are, honestly. I'll definitely be back to visit more whenever I'm in the DFW! Y'all have my support! :)
