I've had this place on my list for a while now and I finally got to try it one weekday afternoon. The menu is a bit interesting as you have a lot of customization options for the charcuterie boards, but it's nice that you can mix and match, for example you can select 1 meat, 2 cheeses or 2 meats and 1 cheese, the latter of which my friend and I chose. This is now my second time at Fount Board and Table. I came here for the first time for coffee with a reporter and the second time for coffee and brunch with my girlfriend. All that to say, this place is versatile. The high prices are the only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five. I woke up starving because I worked out late so I didn't wanna have a heavy dinner. I just opted for a protein drink so naturally this morning I was very hungry, but I also had to take Luciano for his walk. He was waiting patiently so where was I gonna go grab breakfast with my hair all disheveled, no make up, Lululemon leggings and a long sleeve Harley Davidson T-shirt? I remembered this place on one of my walks with Luciano. I went on Yelp to see if they had online ordering for pick up and they did. I ordered a Cortado and the jam eggs toast with the prosciutto to pick up by the time I walked down there, my order was ready, and they handed it to me as I waited on the front porch with Luciano. I was able to drink my coffee on my way back and now I'm sitting enjoying this delicious breakfast and not feeling guilty at all because I walked for it and it's mostly protein. This was a win-win. So I checked out Fount, right across the street from Whole Foods Market in Uptown situated inside of a historical looking olive green home. I wanted to love this place. The jammy egg toast photos were calling my name, the photos looked awesome. The menu says prosciutto (all Yelp photos show prosciutto), but it was served with salami, and they did not inform me beforehand. Salami is generally less expensive ingredient too. Also in lots of the photos it looked like a round (more homemade and larger) loaf. It was tasty, but still pretty disappointing. When I went back to the counter to correct that it was served with salami, they mumbled "oh, I guess we didn't tell you" not an apology, no compensation, nada. They were super dismissive. If they had offered me a cookie (or anything) I probably would have brushed it off. My toast was served on a small slice of square toast. For $17!!! Also the garnish was an INedible sprig of lavender. A garnish should always be edible... other photos show this entree with a fig. Sadly Yelp does not attach photos to reviews if you post the photo after the review and I was having wifi issues, so that photo loaded separately, but it is the gallery of photos here on yelp for this business under my name. I just moved here from San Francisco and I am generally immune to high prices, but this was way too expensive for what we got, not to mention the crappy service. Hubbs got a pretty tasty grilled cheese, but also tiny, and served with nary a chip or anything. For $13. (look a my photo, it is dwarfed by the medium sized plate) Another major gripe was that every single table was occupied by a person on a computer, 60% of these people had zero evidence they had even purchased a thing from here. There should be time limit. If I spend $33 for food, let me have a table to sit and eat it. We ended up asking another table to move their stuff so we could sit down at the large 4 top they were hogging with laptops and papers. Pretty disappointing. We didn't try any food items, but we each got the $7.75 brown butter hazelnut ice latte with oatmilk. I wish I could have put this as 5 stars but they weren't really transparent with the oatmilk up charge. When asked they said they don't disclose it. I have no problem paying for extra toppings/substitutions but do feel slighted when a store is not honest with it. This is a late post but a necessary one. I stumbled into this cute little cafe that looks like a little house. It's a perfect place for breakfast or lunch. You're greeted at the front porch by a musician playing inviting music on his guitar. The inside was equally inviting and home-like. This coffee shop may be my favorite of all time. Their coffee is absolutely phenomenal. All their syrups are handmade, and whether you want to dine in or take-out, they are so accommodating and efficient. The shop was originally an old house which makes me love it even more.The decor, the seating, and the overall vibes are immaculate. I love the dimmer lighting, the couches, the natural lighting from the windows, and the hole-in-the-wall feel. If you're concerned about parking, don't be. You will likely have to parallel park on the street but it's not a busy area and isn't stressful at all. There is always parking available a short distance away (so far in all my experiences!). They are my go-to. A few things to note: their prices are medium-to-high - I'd say it's reasonable considering the homemade, natural ingredients. I would just say don't be surprised if your latte costs around $7. But again, it's worth every sip. I also got their Jammy Egg Toast, which was delicious, also a little on the pricy side. We really like this place - they have the prettiest cheeseboards you can order. You can select the amount of proteins (cheese/cured meats), and they manage to wedge the selection precariously, but beautifully, on an a board that fits 'just-so.' There's always some fun ingredient on the board - rosehips, or tiny dried berries that taste like honey, along with cornichons, perfectly fresh and ripe berries and grapes. I'd put four stars just for inconsistency of food/service - we've been there a handful of times now for cheeseboards, and this time, they didn't bring out any crackers with the cheeseboard, and when we finally asked for them (thinking they might've have forgotten to provide them to us), they merely said 'hmm...okay we will find some for you,' which is strange, because I can't remember a single time we've ordered a cheeseboard anywhere where bread or crackers haven't been served alongside it. When they delivered us some, there were merely five crackers on the plate for the medium sized board. I usually get the jammy egg toast - two pieces of fresh bread slathered with straciatella cheese, strips of delicious prosciutto and pieces of soft-boiled 'jammy' eggs cut into wedges on top, dusted with dill pollen and drizzled with olive oil. It's generally delightful. One time, the egg was sadly overcooked and dry, but the other times have been on point. The coffee/tea drinks are generally good here as well. I've had the dandelion tea which comes in a fancy little cocktail glass, a non-alcoholic drink with coconut sugar. The ceremonial cacao I had the first time was DELICIOUS but the second time was watery, and also oily?, and a bit disappointing, so again - inconsistency. This place does have a tiny selection of wine in the drink fridge, but they offer BYOB for $5 charge/person, regardless if your drink requires corking/glasses. Whole Foods is a few minutes walk away, which is a great option for that. We also like the small tables in the back of the shop - makes for a lovely, relaxing afternoon escape with friends. Definitely a gem if you're looking for cheeseboards, but maybe bring your own crackers/bread to go along with that wine. read more

First of all, they took a pretty run down spot (let's all be honest the furniture at CT had seen better days) and made it look cozy, warm and beautiful...this is definitely a place youd want to bring a first date or your friends for a glass of wine and cheese . Lovely little gem of a coffee spot. I met a friend here for a quick morning bite and good conversation and it did not disappoint. For beverages, my friend ordered one of their loose leaf teas and the presentation was just stunning; personal tea pot, matching sipping cup, and honey on the side. I opted for an iced matcha lavender latte which was divine and the prettiest shade of pale blue thanks to the spirulina. For food, we each had a breakfast taco which checked all the boxes you'd want for a savory and tasty bit of food. We also split an incredible blueberry muffin which was easily in my top 3 blueberry muffins ever consumed. Don't skip on this if it's available.
