Also, I am not quite sure why these great little coffee shops insist on hiring sassy teenagers or young adults, but this shop was no exception. It's not that they're mean or are trying to be overtly rude, they just kind of act, annoyed that they are having to do something and aren't incredibly helpful if you have any questions about the food. My salad was good, but small. It was flavorful and as I mentioned they had no light options as far as other dressings. My wife's salad was not great at all. The chicken was sparse and very tough. It was about 1/4 of a a chicken breast. Mine was about 1/3 of a chicken breast. But again, other than the protein was flavorful. The only other negative was that we had to wait almost 25 minutes for our two salads to be prepared. the outside seating was nice, it seems to be a newly renovated building and was very simple but pretty one very very clean. It is a wonderful alternative to the "big box Amish buffet."

My husband loves their egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on the pretzel bread and their avocado toast is usually pretty solid. All drinks we've had have been good too! They also have several non dairy options l which I always appreciate. It is nice inside and a good place to hang out and the service is always friendly. As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted by the amazing smell of fresh bread and baked goods. Everywhere you look there's another display filled with pies, cookies, donuts, pastries, and homemade breads. If you have a sweet tooth, good luck leaving with just one thing! I couldn't resist picking up two of their huge fry pies along with a peanut butter Long John, and they were every bit as good as they looked. The fry pies were packed with filling and had a perfectly flaky crust, while the peanut butter Long John was loaded with creamy peanut butter filling and was incredibly fresh. My wife couldn't stop talking about their cinnamon twist. She said it was one of the best she's ever had--soft, buttery, perfectly sweet, and full of cinnamon flavor. I have a feeling we'll be making a special trip back just so she can get another one! The staff was friendly, the bakery was clean and well-stocked, and there were plenty of Amish-made jams, noodles, candies, cheeses, and other local products to browse while we were there. If you're visiting Millersburg, Berlin, or anywhere in Ohio's Amish Country, make sure Kauffman's Country Bakery is on your list. If you need a place to cool down or warm up with a coffee drink and get some work done then I think this place will serve you well. The ambience was comfortable, warm, friendly, and pleasant. I think there is a side room that could host a group. If you have kids they might enjoy the game table that lines the hallway by the bathrooms. On shelves in one of the corners and at the front of the shop where you order your food and drinks are brochures or other paraphernalia highlighting local businesses and services, community efforts, and monthly campaigns that will help you or someone you know find a resource or at least help promote service to others in your heart.
