Lamb shank with rice and vegetables
    Marissa M.

This restaurant has potential. We started off with the crab cakes which were heavy with the lemon and miracle whip. Secondly, we shared the French onion soup and Cesar salad. Both were eh just average. For our mains, the lamb shank was a chef special. The lamb was tender and flavorful. My husband's filet was cooked to order but had an interesting taste of cinnamon and clove (was not described on the menu) and what really got this review 2 stars were the instant mashed potatoes and super dry lobster tail. They were busy and only had one server who was very touch and go but spent all his time socializing with the local diners.

We will definitely be coming back here. Food and drinks were great. The staff and owner / Executive Chef, John, were wonderful. Great customer service. The restaurant is intimate and provided a really nice ambiance for date. Looking forward to coming back on our next visit.

Newly opened high end steak/seafood house in The Collective Sedona in VOC (on the backside in the old J Wine Bistro spot) by Chef John & Sedona local Nikki Ramagli on 3/24/2023. They also run Rotten Johnny's Woodfired Pizza Pie. Nice to have this new option in the Village. Ample parking. We enjoyed the relaxed, casual dining concept - plan for up to 2hours. The menu features organic meats from small farms, such as Aspen Ridge, Snake River Farms, Cascade Creek and Niman Ranch and farm-to-table veggies. They also have seafood, nightly specials and a 4-course tasting menu created monthly by Chef John. Wine list is extensive, but they also have a cocktail and beer menu. Best to make a reservation well in advance, just like for all decent Sedona restaurants, on Open Table or call. Only one caveat - a 3.9% fee will be added to all credit and debit card transactions, but they accept checks.

Incredible food. I love the fresh oysters, mussle appetizer, and lamb chops. Great wine list and the bartender is one of the best in Sedona.

As the evening progressed, the young lady my girlfriend described as "jacked" warmed up and was incredibly nice. Now, the food was outstanding. The filet, mashed potatoes, and vegetables were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef--you nailed it! This was our third visit, and the restaurant has never disappointed. That says a lot. Our only real critique would be to improve the initial greeting and perhaps upgrade the hostess experience. First impressions matter, and the greeting didn't quite match the quality of everything that followed. Other than that, perfection! We'll definitely be back.

They also have a pretty elevated menu that surprised me with some of the menu options that were pretty inventive. Vibe: They have plenty of parking, plenty of seating inside and out, and they are dog friendly. There is a lot of open space and I like the area because you get a nice view, the little courtyard is really relaxing and they are very welcoming. Service: One thing that stood out to me was the cans that have a red and green on each side. If you flip it to the green it lets them know you need the host and red if your table is good. They are very attentive this way so I really liked this. Or hosts were very amazing and sweet and gave some good suggestions. Beer: I got one of the ambers, and my wife got one of their lighter beers. Hers kind of had the taste of miller light so it was ok, and mine was good. We did not try yo many beers, their IPA's looked pretty good but we wanted t something light and simple. Food: We opened up with their patatas bravas fries with sweet potato fries and they were really good, we could not stop eating them, the sauce was delicious and the sweet potato fries were perfection. My mother in law got the chicken sandwich and chips and that was definitely the way to go, crispy, savory and just delicious, I got the Thai burger, med rare with chips, this is where I say they got inventive, I have never had a Thai burger and being a cook myself I loved the concept. Unfortunately my burger was a little more rare that mid rare the closer I got to the center of it and under seasoned there were some Thai flavors present but most of it was taken over by the slaw, so you did not get much of the peanut sauce, the crunchy noodle part of it go more soggy and so did the bun. I think it's a wonderful concept, I think there may be a better bun to use to not let it get so soggy, and I think there are some amazing Thai spices you can get with the protein. My wife got the Greek Tacos and they were ok too, I love the concept but I think instead of corn tortillas I would do some thin naan , I would have more Greek style seasoning and some kind of sauce with some heat with it and you have a winner. Over all it was fun, love the inventive concept I was going to do three starts but honestly I love that your doing interesting foods. .

We ended up sitting outside, and I loved that the patio was covered and equipped with heaters, which made it cozy even with the weather acting up a bit. It was lightly sprinkling, and we did get a few drops here and there, but honestly, it didn't take away from the experience. Now let's talk about the food--absolutely delicious. The deviled eggs were generously stuffed and beautifully presented, which made them just as enjoyable to look at as they were to eat. We shared the filet mignon, served with mushroom risotto, and wow... it was completely out of this world. Perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. We paired it with the honey garlic carrots, and they were the perfect balance of sweet and savory--definitely a standout side. I also ordered a smoked blueberry sour cocktail, and it was so good--unique, refreshing, and well-crafted. Service was solid and consistent throughout the meal. Nothing over-the-top, but everything came out smoothly and as expected. Overall, this spot really delivered--from the ambiance to the flavor-packed dishes. I'd absolutely come back again.
