I've been getting my hair cut by Kendra for almost four years now. It took me years to find someone after my long time cosmotologist moved out of state. Kendra is prompt and does a great job. I love a great shampoo with a little extra massage of my scalp, and let me tell you, Kendra never skimps on her time. Her personality is still as upbeat and positive as the first day I met her. I appreciate her understanding that I have my service dog, and keep him confined in businesses out of courtesy to others; and that it does not bother her that I wear a mask. She's very supportive and kind with regard to both and I wish I could give her an extra star!! Right in downtown and plenty of parking out front with that great Novato small town feel. I got a wash and cut, and was in and out the door in less than 30 minutes with such a reasonable price! Kendras energy is so warm and welcoming and I needed to cut off about 4 inches of dead ends and Kendra did it so expertly and quickly. She also seems like a great barber as I also got my undercut cleaned up and she straightened up the lines from my previous barber. Also I appreciate how a la carte the menu is because I figured I could use a wash and cut but didn't need the blowout so opted to skip it and the added expense. Rude customer service. Called to tell that I am running 10 mins late . She stated that there is a 5 minute policy, which is not shown or displayed anywhere. She just wants your money. Most barbers are happy to wait if you call. Even offered extra money for her wait time. She Just acted rude and hung up. Such a rip off. Stay away from this place read more

Very mediocre cut at any price but this one isn't cheap. It was an uncomfortable experience with the drunk breath and shaking hands of the stylist. She actually had several bleeding cuts where she nicked herself. She should wear gloves instead of spreading fresh blood to customers. Would not recommend or revisit. read more

Kendra is a delight. She's pleasantly chatty, remembers personal details from visit to visit, and has her dog there! I love dogs. My first time seeing her was just before Christmas. I had a flight out of town in 2 days, and called planning on making an appointment for when I got back into town, but she was able to fit me in the very next day! I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, but I told her what had been bothering me about my hair (I always know I need a haircut when I just start throwing it into a ponytail every day) and what I've loved about past haircuts. She spent a few minutes checking out my hair and came up with a plan, taking into account my hair texture (straight in the front/wavy underneath & in the back) and my requirements (no bangs & I need to be able to pull it up) and gave me a great cut. It moved, looked great styled or air-dried, had volume, and was easy for me to take care of. For some unexplained reason my stylist of 15 years and I just could not "gel" anymore...I was unhappy with the color she was doing and even when I asked to have it fixed she charged me to do what I asked in the first place. Therefore I decided to be brave and try a new stylist...and after 15 years this is not an easy thing to do. Kendra does my friends hair so I made the appointment and nervously went to cheat on my old hairdresser. I will never look back. We usually take the family to Super Cuts, but we finally got fed up with bad haircuts. No matter what we asked for, the boys all looked they were enlisting in the Marines. We looked at all the reviews for other places in town and decided to try Kendra. My husband was the guinea pig. He came home so excited that she was nice and did exactly what he asked for.
