The food is good. The pies are great, specifically the chocolate cream pie. Although service here lately has been a hit-or-miss. But I do believe that starts with management. We came here to eat not too long ago. Waited our turn and was seated. The problem didn't start until after we received our drinks and we began to place our orders. Then about a third of the items we were ordering, they were out of. Including bacon. This is a management decision to notify customers with possibly signs or when they are greeted by the host, that they are out of certain items before you are seated and served coffee and/or your other beverages. Someone dropped the ball here. Whether it be management, an assigned employee who does the ordering, or the food delivery service. Whoever it may be, the customer should not have to pay the price. Perhaps discounts should have been offered for the lack of items that were not available on the menu. So, besides this one unfortunate breakfast experience. They have been pretty consistent on cooking our food. It has always been good and service has always been good. read more

There's times in life where your actions aren't commensurate with your dignity. Choosing Village Inn was one of mine. Ordered Club sandwich and a bowl of soup. Told the server to bring the soup out in advance, she didn't. Then asked for spoons twice. She then came to the table and asked us if we needed anything else, for the third time asked her for spoons. Somehow she forgot on her walk back to the kitchen. I had to get up, go to the prepping area and ask her a fourth time. In fairness, club sandwich was good. Soup was barely warm, which was not inviting in the least. Hey Village Inn, soup should be hot. Show your community you have some basic diner standards. UPDATE: Village Inn, you messaged me and suggested that your establishment didn't meet "your expectations". As you have with other reviews below. Get it right, I don't have inappropriately high standards, your establishment has inappropriately low standards. Such a shame for not willing to take basic accountability. read more

Had a great meal and one of the best waitress's ever, Jessica. She was beyond kind and patient. Never saw her that she wasn't checking on diners, cleaning constantly and getting rush orders in and out. Having managed many employees this lady is exactly the type of worker that if not a mentor/trainer she certainly should be. The manager Chantel was the same. Two of us had to remind her to bring our pancakes (but they come with the skillets, so it's not like they were a special order), and one of us never got our eggs (which also come on the skillet, soooooo...). The skillet itself was just kind of okay. The pancakes were fluffy and hot but just your run of the mill pancakes. On the upside, the coffee was good and hot (that can be a thing!). In terms of promptness and attentiveness, the service was good. Absolutely fantastic food! I only ever order breakfast and their pie, it's always perfect and delicious! The coconut cream pie is to die for, a perfect ending to a very very delicious breakfast!!! It always its the spot! The Chef is a quiet professional who knows what he's doing! I hope the company takes care of him with exceptional pay!! No really, he knows what he's doing and I honestly wish I had a tenth of his skill. The coffee is great, and hits the spot with my favorite pie. I will not ever accept any other Coconut Cream Pie after Village Inn's version. The breakfast is succulent and satisfying. The staff are professional and perfectly attentive. After the breakfast debacle the day before, we decided to eat here. The host seated us right away, and our server - Hollie - came to take our drink orders. When she came back she took our order of VIB breakfast of eggs over easy, sausage links, bacon and hash browns plain. Strawberry crepes combo which came with bacon, hash browns which he added cheese to. The create your own omelet with cheddar cheese, diced ham, hash browns plain and white toast. They also got busy after we ordered. But our food came in a timely manner and our server was friendly. The sausage links had a nice pepper spiciness to them I appreciated. The hash browns were not greasy and flavorful enough that I didn't need to add salt to them. I think the hash browns having other ingredients added to them must be a southern thing because both places we ate breakfast at asked if we would like cheese, gravy or peppers on them. And there might have been something else but I can't remember what it was. He said his crepe was much better than the one he had the day before. We all agreed the food quality was better. And it seemed as if they handled the crowd better. Perhaps they have more servers and aren't short staffed. Again, I don't mind most things if staff are friendly and you serve our food in the order the order was taken. But this restaurant was so much better than the one we ate at the day before. Traveling in the area we had delivery breakfast with eggs and pancakes two days then on day three we had to dine in. We were seated right away. Waitress was helpful and friendly. Multigrain pancakes are great and so is the ranchero heuvo. Endless good coffee. This place is known for pies and can tell easily because there are pies everywhere in here. Well usually we have breakfast and it is always fantastic. Since it wasFriday during lent we decided to try the fish and chips AUCE. The he server was polite and informed us that not just the dish was AUCE that the fries and cole slaw were as well. Needless to say they provided us 3 pieces of fish and a sparse serving of French fries with the original serving. My husband asked for more fries and was then informed that he could only order more fries while also ordering more fish. The refill of the fish and chips took forever. They had actually already cleared our first plates from the table. Not sure what the hold up was because the restaurant was not busy and it appeared to be fairly well staffed. Really disappointed in the evening service. I think we will stick to breakfast and lunch. read more

As I chef, you know I'm always looking for great food, exceptional service, and an ambiance that represents the area I'm in. We'll Village Inn did that for me. A quint diner with bright orange lettering on the building, giving all the vibes of 70s diners along the interstate. I was greeted by my server Tad, who was friendly, inviting, bubbly, and very pleasant. She offered me the option of places to sit and let me pick where I wanted to sit. I ordered a sweet tea, and she brought it promptly, and I placed my order. I had a country music star omellette (3 eggs, bacon ham, sausage, cheese, and cream gravy) with a side of pancakes and skillet potatoes. I tip my chef hat off to the cooks in the back for knowing how to use salt and pepper... as I say, it goes a long way... and they used it well. Simple food done correctly can be incredible. It is known that if a person visiting Arkansas doesn't ingest both pork products and pie at some points during their visit, they will surely be beset by tragedy and woe. Well, we had reached the final night of our stay in the state. The pork requirement had been fulfilled, but not the pie. Hence, we visited this Village Inn conveniently located right off the interstate and just down the road from our hotel. At 9pm on a Monday, they still had a wide selection of whole pies in the case to consider. We told the hostess our choices, and she went to the back to cut slices for us: mint brownie blast for my husband and caramel pecan silk supreme for me. We came on September 13,2024 and it was the worst experience we ever had and this restaurant. The manager in charge did help the wait staff she simply just stood there watched the staff running around and there were only 3 tables with customers when we were there. The food was cold so I ask to warm my strawberry crepe and it exploded in the microwave and they served it to me that way. Unbelievably disappointing! read more

Village Inn Pies My wife and I have enjoyed Village Inn pies for years. So, it was a disappointment to get home with our Coconut Pie and find it looked like a coconut, but the filling was lemon. We laughed about it and continued to eat lemon pie with coconut topping. Shortly thereafter, we both became sick to our stomachs. Examining the off-tasting pie, we found the crust had mold throughout. That made us more wheezy and a bit angry. I took the pie back to show the manager, and she stated that she was sorry and that they had a new distributor doing their pies. She offered me a replacement. I told her we couldn't enjoy a pie so soon after the experience and I'd rather have a refund. She informed me they don't give refunds. I left empty-handed. We ate at this location in 2023, and we waited almost an hour for our food due to a 'cook' shortage. Today, we tried it again. This time, we were seated for 15 min with no service. We got a host (Jaden was very helpful) to get us waters. After another 10 min wait, still no service, so we left. Seems the manager does a poor job of scheduling and/or hiring. This place--omg! I loved it! I came to Ark, to visit my boyfriend for the weekend and he took me here on Saturday morning. We were able to be seated right away. Masks are optional which we loved. The place was clean and smelt Devine! We were treated so nicely by everyone. All the patrons were happy to be there and we all had a little bit more in common on that day :) The staff/waitresses were so attentive to everyone's needs. They checked up on us often. Gave advice on meal choices, even chatted a little bit in between orders. They seemed to enjoy us being there as much as we did! Love that type of business. The village Inn is finally open for both dine-in and pick-up. It is located in bentonville and close to Rogers. It is easy to miss if not paying attention or unfamiliar with the area. It is close to the highway and lots if shops/restaurants. It was empty when I went inside but nonetheless the service was impeccable and everyone was nice. They have hand sanitizer for diners to use at their counter and seems to be cleaning frequently. I ordered cherry pie and European chocolate pie which were all delicious! They sell both slices and whole pies. They did have limited selection because they are just opening up and demand is not as high. The European chocolate was so tasty that I wanted more. I love the chocolate bits on top of it as well. I will definitely go for that again. I love cherry pie an this was just perfect. They have a huge parking lot and ample parking. They also offer free pies with orders on Wednesdays! I will definitely go back to try their food as well. I recommend this place to anyone. read more

Overall experience was good. Nothing remarkable, but nothing bad either. I arrived alone and asked for a table for two. I was seated promptly and while I was waiting for my wife Pedro asked what we were drinking. I ordered coffee for myself and water w/lemon for my wife. The coffee was brought out quickly and a few minutes later my wife arrived. We chatted for a couple of minutes while looking over the menu and Pedro dropped her water off. Apparently he was waiting on her to bring the water. Nice! I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. My wife ordered 2-2-2. Orders arrived pretty quickly. My hasbrowns tasted kind of funny and I thought maybe it was the ketchup but my wife tasted them and thought that maybe they were cooked on a griddle that previously had green peppers or onions on it. I don't care for either one of those, so that might be the issue. She also mentioned we have been using the "no corn syrup" Heinz ketchup at home and this was the regular high fructose corn syrup ketchup. So maybe that was it... either way, not a big deal but not my favorite part of the dish. She said hers was good and the pancakes were good (which is actually high compliment compare to her mother's recipe). OH! And today is National Pie Day! Every entrée gets a free piece of pie!! I haven't tried mine as I was full and needed to get back to work but I'm sure it will be good. read more

What can I say. The place was great. Good fresh and hot food. When I walked in I was a little sceptical as I was about to embark on a new adventure, but I have to say. The hostess, Katie, was very friendly and recommend the scrambler. It came out hot and fresh. The pancakes we're hot and fluffy. The atmosphere was mostly the retired crowd as it was 10 am on a Monday morning when most of the world is working or in school. All of the other plates being brought out if the kitchen looked great as well. No complaints. I eat alot and it was so much I couldn't finish it all. And the pie display... spectacular!
