Very clean interior
Anissa G.

The village inn is a perfect place to eat if your family can't agree on what they want to eat. They have traditional American diner food and a large variety of asian food too! I meet the new owner Anna when we came to try this place out. She is the sweetest human ever! Her customer service is top notch. The interior takes you back in time! It is preserved so perfectly. They had clean high chairs for my little one to sit in, Anna brought it over to our table for us. The food in DELICIOUS! I got the seasonal pin-a colada milkshake with the Philly cheesesteak. They do not skimp on the meat. My husband got a burger and fries, with an Oreo shake. It was also incredible! Anna also has this amazing program where you can buy someone's food for them. They place the items people have bought by the cash register and if you can't afford to eat you have a variety of things to choose from. I love a local business that gives back in this way.

Burger Basket combo 2 meal. Yum.

I love coming to this local restaurant. There are only 5 booths and the take out and drive thru do a brisk business. I get the burger basket combo 2 meal which is a large cheeseburger on a real sesame bun with a large basket of crinkle cut fries and a medium soft drink for $11.99. A great deal these days but mainly because the food tastes wonderful! The service is friendly and efficient. Hands down a great burger and a good place to eat.

Looks like they changed their name to The Village Inn. Good Burgers, Great Service!! Crinkle cut fries were tasty & their special sauce was delicious!!

Teriyaki and Chinese menu

This place has withstood the test of time. Always good quality food and friendly service.

March 23rd, about 7 PM. Had terrible customer service from the girl working the counter. We'll not go back there ever again.

And one server, I kid you not, once arm-wrestled a grizzly bear just to protect a customer's last french fry. But the real revolution happened when a veteran waitress (who definitely used to be in witness protection) casually mentioned her souped-up Toro TimeMaster to a regular. Like a match dropped in a pool of premium unleaded, the lawnmower customization scene EXPLODED. Now the back parking lot looks like Fast & Furious meets Home Depot. You've got flame-painted John Deeres doing wheelies between tables, and chrome-plated Husqvarnas sporting underglow LEDs that would make Xzibit weep tears of joy. Every Thursday night, the sound of modified 6.5 HP engines drowns out the jukebox as the "Mow Money, Mow Problems" crew shows off their latest grass-cutting masterpieces. Last week, someone installed a turbocharger on a push mower--sure, it only cuts three blades of grass before launching into low orbit, but that's the kind of innovation that makes America great. The Red Dog Saloon didn't just create a restaurant; they birthed a movement. Now you can't scroll through TikTok without seeing some influencer's "Lawn & Order: Special Mowing Unit" build going viral. And it all started because the staff here believes in encouraging their customers' most questionable hobbies with unbridled enthusiasm. Five stars. Would let them transform my riding mower into a grass-destroying dragon again.

Right off the bat, the hostess stood out. She was genuinely engaging and welcoming (wish I had caught her name), and we were seated immediately in the bar area. It was a little past the lunch rush--around 2 PM--so it was nice and relaxed, which made for a comfortable, easygoing vibe. We went back and forth trying to beat the lunch cutoff or just lean into the happy hour menu, and ended up doing a bit of both. We split a Caesar salad, which was fresh and really well done. For the main, we had the bacon avocado chicken wrap with tots--great flavor, definitely a solid choice. The only knock was the tots were a little on the cooling-off side and didn't quite hit the mark... although I still managed to finish them. To drink, I went with a Sky Kraken Pale Ale, which was excellent (and yes, there's photo evidence). Hey I'm retired now, I can drink at lunch! Overall, really enjoyable stop--good food, great service, and a laid-back atmosphere. We'd absolutely come back again. Solid 4 stars.

The Vacio wagyu is always perfectly tender, and continually warmed on the hot stone with its accompanying salt and chimichurri. That item alone makes me go out of my way to fulfill a craving. An honorable mention goes to their complimentary refried bean tostadas, which is very underrated. The loaded Papa Loca potato is large for sharing, perfectly baked the first time, but underbaked/too starchy the second time. The mushrooms aren't special enough with just a coating of cheese and an unappetizing heavy hand of red pepper flake coating. My toddler honestly has a palate for good burgers, but his dislike was mutual; tasting it it out of curiosity, the wagyu cheeseburger needed more flavor, while the fries seemed over-cooked in old oil. The first time on a weekday, everything seemed great. The second time around for a busy Mother's Day weekend, it just seemed everything was rushed, especially the food preparation.

I sauntered in like a champion heifer entering the show ring, only to find the bar manager evaluating tap lines with the same precision as a certified livestock judge at the World Dairy Expo. The draft list is organized by breed characteristics - I mean, beer styles - with scoring cards that would make the American Dairy Science Association blush. The head bartender, a former 4-H Grand Champion (dairy cattle division), approaches each pour with the same dedication she once showed while preparing her prize-winning Jersey for the Supreme Champion competition. She inspects each glass with the thoroughness of a udder examination at the World Beef Expo. Their flight paddle, "The Grand Champion," arrives presented on a bed of cedar shavings (food-grade, obviously) that would make any show barn proud. Each beer is scored on a point system suspiciously similar to the Holstein Association USA's Linear Classification Program - with categories like "Body Depth" and "Dairy Form" replaced with "Head Retention" and "Hop Expression." The beer garden has been sectioned off like a livestock pavilion, with different areas designated for various beer styles. I witnessed a heated debate about proper beer classification that rivaled the intensity of the Brown Swiss Canton Show's judge's deliberation. A grizzled regular, known only as "The Cattle Whisperer," holds court at the corner table, evaluating each patron's beer selection like he's judging dairy cow confirmation. "Nice topline on that IPA," he'll mutter while taking detailed notes in what appears to be an official American Angus Association scorecard. Monthly "Show & Tell" competitions require customers to present their beers with the same poise and professionalism as a youth showmanship class. Points are deducted for improper hand position on the glass and failure to maintain eye contact with the judge. Five stars? Please. This place earns the Supreme Champion banner and Best of Show rosette! P.S. If you hear someone shout "SWITCH LEADS!" they're not talking about show ring directions - it's actually the signal for a tap rotation. The staff performs the change with the coordinated precision of a champion dairy fitting team. P.P.S. The bathroom keys are attached to show halters, and you must demonstrate proper showmanship techniques to be deemed worthy. The bouncer is a certified livestock judge, and he's not impressed by your amateur handling skills. P.P.P.S. Legend says that on competition nights, the ghost of a legendary dairy cattle judge appears to evaluate the beer selection. Flights have been found mysteriously rearranged in perfect showmanship formation. P.P.P.P.S. Their specialty cask ale program has won more ribbons than a champion Guernsey at the World Dairy Expo, and they display them with the same pride as a multi-generational dairy farm's trophy case.

Burgers were loaded but the knock on them was that they were over cooked for both my wife and I, while also being small compared to the bun. Entrees included chicken Florentine (subbed with shrimp for +$3), chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and fettuccine primavera (with shrimp for +$7). Everything came out hot, seasoned well, and very tasty, though my Florentine was light on spinach. Desserts were a highlight--raspberry cheesecake that was fluffy and creamy with a good crust, and a rich crème brûlée that disappeared quickly. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, set in what feels like an old home. Inside has around 15 tables and can get loud; the staff accommodated our request to move outside to the porch, which turned out to be perfect.
