I wanted to try a new teriyaki place and saw some decent reviews for Himitsu teriyaki. I placed an online order and the location wasn't far from where I live. My first challenge was finding the price. They're outside sign is largely hidden by an enormous tree out front. It provides a nice shade for everyone who is parking nearby, but also obscures the name of the business. I ordered the house special yakisoba. I had high hopes for this as it was described as yucky soba noodles with vegetables, chicken, beef and two shrimp. Thetwo shrimp were there but I found the chicken to be overcooked and dry. We ordered for delivery so I can't speak to the location, facilities or staff. The order itself was accurate and prepared correctly. Service speed was fair. The Chicken Katsu was really good! High quality meat with a great tasting, crispy crust and delicious sauce. Their Chicken Teriyaki had good quality meat, but I found it a bit overcooked and charred to the point where it was bitter. Their Fried Rice was under-seasoned and bland to my taste. Overall: Fair food, but there are other businesses in the area that we prefer. read more

I don't come to this area often, but I was looking for a quick bite and found this place. Might as well take your food To-Go. Lol it's not a huge deal, but if you ask to eat in, you shouldnt have to pay a $0.08 bag fee. Not to mention, the only water available is for purchase in the Aquafina bottles, no cups of water given if you eat in. Food was pretty good and I enjoyed it. But would be nice to get some water to drink for an already nearly $20 meal lol. read more

I went here for lunch for my first time and ordered the lunch special with sweet and sour chicken,rice, egg roll and side salad. When I got my food automatically my chicken was waaaay over breaded. Now I know the reason why they overdid it with the breading because when I took a bite, the chicken, which I don't even know if it was chicken was a gray and very rubbery which tasted old and just gross. I now think that they were trying to cover it up with the over breading and extra sauce, it looked like a freaking funnel cake from the fair. I couldn't even take a normal bite without force with pulling it. I was in a hurry and didn't want them to remake it so I didn't even finish my chicken. I did eat the salad and some rice and the eggroll. When I went back to work 10 minutes later thank goodness I work at an urgent care. I just started vomiting, I ended up going home very nauseous with stomach pain definitely food poisoning. I will never eat here again. I wish I would've taken a picture. The food was okay, one of our gyoza was burnt & when we were given our food the gyoza sauce had a melted top so it wasn't sealed properly. When we sat to eat & grab our food to eat in it spilled everywhere. I went to ask for napkins told them what happened gave me napkins and asked if I needed new gyoza sauce so he gave it. I asked if he had a wet towel or something because where we were seated the sauce like I said spilled everywhere and was sticky they told us no and didn't even attempt to clean the mess for servings food that wasn't properly sealed. The shrimp was undercooked as well. Horrible service overall and we will not be eating here ever again. Save yourself a trip and go to better teriyaki places and drive to them. read more

Had chicken teriyaki and general tso chicken. Taste was good but the chicken was tough and the pieces were too big, generally twice as big as you normally get with this type of dish. On the plus side the gyoza was excellent, cooked perfectly and great sauce. read more

Needed to make a pit stop to the enchantments from Olympic, and I'm so glad I stopped by here for their food! First, I must say, for the price, they offer such a generous amount of food. I personally ordered a house yakisoba and my brother ordered a chicken and beef teriyaki combo. When we got our order (to-go), I realized that they gave me fried rice instead of yakisoba, so they were super kind in fixing that quickly and let me bring home the fried rice! From the very beginning, the server was kind and helpful, and offered great and positive service. I would not say their food is the most amazing quality, but for the price and for the amount they give, again, it is quite generous! read more

Wanted to try a new local teriyaki place which also offered chicken katsu. Himitsu Teriyaki in Maple Valley fit the bill. The order was timely delivered. The 'plates' were generously portioned. We had Chicken Katsu Bento which came with chicken katsu (of course), tempura shrimp, gyoza, california roll sushi, white rice and a small salad. California roll was not the best, just didn't seem fresh or flavorful compared to what we've had at sushi restaurants. However, everything else in the bento was absolutely delicious! Also had crispy chicken that came generously sauced and not too sticky with generous mound of chicken accompanied with two servings of white rice. Lastly, we added a separate tempura shrimp order. This teriyaki place is no different than any other teriyaki locations. We were passing through, starving and ordered for dine in. Food was okay, but what was irritating was; no water. We all get thirsty when we eat, we asked for a cup of water and they don't "serve water." But you can BUY bottled water on top of already spending money on food, makes sense right? Nope. Providing a cup of water should be free everywhere, next thing you know they'll be charging for toilet paper. I don't think I'll be back. read more

I'm literally shaking right now I'm so upset. I order from this restaurant atleast 4 times a week on uber eats and I've never had a problem until today. I order beef short ribs well done and when these came they still had blood on them. Mind you I paid uber eats 27.00.. I get in my car and drive to the restaurant thinking they would gladly exchange it for a new one cooked the right way. But to my surprise there was a Asian guy working, looked in his early 30's cursed me out and said to go back to Africa. I'm showed him my phone and all of the money I spend a week with uber eats for his restaurant and he continued the racial slurs. I am blown away! Like I can't believe this just happened. I didn't even ask for a refund, just a simple replacement as I had brought the whole meal back with me. Please consider not ordering from this racist restaurant! I'm just totally Wowed! read more

We have eaten here a few times. They are often very busy, so we usually order ahead for takeout. So far, we have enjoyed nearly everything we've eaten. The chicken is quite tasty, sometimes a bit overcooked, but not often. Some of the more Chinese foods have been really good. The fried rice could use a few more spices, it's a bit bland, but we have some sauces that bring it up to our standard for taste. Lots of variety,so we seldom order the same thing, so we can sample different dishes. Good place. We have been at off hours and the ambiance is pretty friendly. read more

I remember when this location opened in Maple Valley many many years ago! As a kid I loved going in, sitting in the high back wood seating and on the pillow mats! Every time I just enjoyed the light interior and comfort of familiarity of the food. Now, since being gone for years, this location has transformed! It's now dark, the menu is blasted in big signage with photographed food! It's unreal how unkempt it is inside! I placed a phone order and realized they now had a large or regular teriyaki option. We got one regular large and one white chicken breast regular size for pick up. The young man who helped me when I arrived was so kind. He had a kind face, glasses and very pale skin. He picked up who I was before I even opened my mouth! I paid and sat in the far corner waiting for my food to be bagged! The salad was very clean but the pieces of lettuce where huge and almost choking concerns! The chicken breads teriyaki was almost stretchy, and the sauce they layered it with was not even marinated on to the chicken! Rice was sticky and very WET, it was bizarre! My husbands teriyaki was very charbroiled and almost burnt! Aside from the difference in glaze, meat quality and flavor, it seems like this location has gone down hill! My favorite teriyaki in maple valley. They are very nice when you order. They have a pretty cool menu but I LOVE the chicken teriyaki bento box so almost never order anything else. It comes with a nice salad, fried shrimp, gyoza, 4 pieces of cali roll, rice and teriyaki chicken. There is always plenty of each sauce! Usually get one to share with my husband. read more

When I notified cashier he took no responsibility for the restaurant apparently having an old menu from a previous owner on yelp. He seemed to have no idea what I was even talking about. Wondered why there were no cars/patrons any where near this joint at 6:30 on a Saturday eve! We ordered Shrimp Yakisoba and Tempura Vegetables to go. The Tempura was doughy,soggy ,limp(we only live 5 minutes away so no excuse),flavorless and just a couple pieces of brocolli, some white potato strips( I think) and maybe a piece of zucchini. The 5 shrimp plopped next to the big pile of sticky,mushy noodles were not marinaded or grilled- flavorless as well. AND there were hardly any vegetables in the Yakisoba. read more

This place does their teriyaki well. They are very prompt when you order and have become quite the staple in my house. They do have a good chicken yakisoba and spicy teriyaki if you want to change it up a bit. Haven't tried the rest of the menu, but sure it is good. read more

The teriyaki and gyoza are delicious! Order pick up is pretty easy over the phone with these guys. You can use Uber to order for pickup/delivery as well if you prefer that route. It's supper accessible and I'm glad to have a new neighborhood teriyaki place! My only disappointment was the yakisoba, which I felt was a bit strong in the fish sauce and soy sauce department.
