Located directly adjacent to LA Fitness this place was recommended to me by a few friends who loved to eat cheesesteaks. Very adequate parking in the lobby was very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly. I ordered the steak and cheese sub. It came with nicely, chopped ribeye, provolone, caramelized, onions, mustard, and mayo. The roll was soft and chewy and the ingredients were perfectly mixed together. Had a dill pickle spear on the side and that set things off nicely. Observed that as people came in, they were served quickly and they had a good process down. Highly recommend for those looking for a great cheesesteak. read more

It's not Door Dash, it's not a food quality problem (It's great, which is the only reason we have continued to place orders up to this point), its the HORRIBLE order management, or no store management at all! I have placed orders where item's are missing, wrong, mayo when no mayo was requested, and always late. Today was the final straw...we were notified through door dash after 2 delays while looking for a driver (@ 1:30 in the afternoon) that they couldn't find one (never an issue with any restaurants in the area until today.) so we are given the option to come pick it up and have the fees refunded. Fine so my son goes to pick it up and when he gets there they hadn't even started the order!!!!! No wonder they can't get a driver to pick up the orders, they are probably tired of waiting for 30 - 40 minutes for them to make 4 sandwiches. First off, this place is extremely slow! Don't come here unless you have time to spare. It took roughly 45 minutes from when I placed my online order to when I finally got it -- only for the garlic bread I ordered to be completely missing. It's also a bit awkward because they have an open kitchen, so you can actually see the employees moving slowly. So why three stars after all that? Because the sub was actually really good -- and that's what I came here for. The garlic bread was just a fun add-on. To be fair, I probably came at a bad time. It was 6p on a Friday, the line to the door, and DoorDash drivers were yelling at the workers, asking how much longer their orders would take. They clearly had enough on their plate without worrying about my $3.50 garlic bread. I'll give them another chance based on the taste and the fact that the guy taking orders (and my name for the to-go order) was extremely friendly. The teenagers working in the kitchen were back there goofing off, standing around and joking while the lines piled up. Some of the topic of conversation were highly inappropriate for a workplace. First time ever having a Firehouse Sub, but I've always wanted to stop by for the last couple of years. Finally made the stop with the wife. Helps that there's one not too far from where I live. When I called them I asked to speak to a manager but the guy said he didn't have the ability to compensate the sandwich. Ordered out and I really think this is a great sub. My husband mentioned it was clean and staff was very friendly and patient.

The food is yummy, when it is made correctly. They usually do a great job but once in a while they add mayo or a pickle to the box when I never want mayo or pickles, and I have a kid on the spectrum, so he will not eat it once it absorbs into the bread and the meat. It's all he can smell. It's a real bummer. It's not cheap either, so I need it to be right and then when I drive home and have to drive back and explain the problem, it's like I'm put at the back of the list of sandwiches they're making, which sucks because they made a mistake and I drove there, drove back, tipped, and now I have to wait longer for their mistake. Other than that, when it is right, it is great, the place is clean, the service is friendly, and the brownies are amazing. Love Firehouse subs! It's a newer building, clean with ample seating. Service is efficient and the food is good. This is at least our 4th visit and I REALLY appreciate their gluten free bread option because unlike other gluten free breads theirs is excellent. They use Schaar buns and they work wonderfully as a sub bread. My only wish usually is that the bread would be heated or toasted more but I still always leave satisfied. I have zero reactions to this bread. My husband had the Spicy Cajun Chicken with extra meat for the third time and really enjoyed it. He feels Firehouse beats Jersey Mikes. Really enjoyed the food, service, and personable ambiance. I got the New York Steamer in medium which for me personally was enough for one person; they do offer a pickle smear if you would like it. For me it was not too acidic and was a nice bite between amongst the sandwich. Now, keep in mind these things are a little messy-being some napkins as they toast all of their sandwiches and they're hot. All in all a great place, first time coming to firehouse, and looking forward to when the mobile app is up and running. read more

First time at Firehouse subs!! I was torn on what hot sandwich to get. Many of them looked delicious. After much debate I Ordered the Firehouse Hero. The giant cookies looked delicious but I held strong. The sandwich was ready in about 7min and came with a pickle spear. I wish the sandwich was a little bigger (longer) but it did really fill me up on its own. The meat was extremely fresh and the mayo and Dijon sauce together was phenomenal. It was really good ratio of sauce to veggies and meat. The sandwich was definitely a 10/10. I will buy one again even at the $12.50 price point which is about normal these days. If you can get a sandwich on half price evenings, that's the best deal. In fact, I can't wait to try the other hot Sammies! I also love that these sandwiches come in a recycled cardboard bin/container so that the sandwich doesn't get smashed or leak all over before you get to eat!!! read more

Some of the best subs you can get from fast food joints. Get the Italian minus Tomato's and onions. So many flavors, its great. Service has always been above average, and I have two of their pickle buckets from donating to their foundation. (smells like pickles, but cheaper than a home depot bucket and its going to charity) Only thing I can complain about is how cold and breezy the seating section is. The garlic bread had good flavor but too salty for my taste. Steak and Cheese had good quality ingredients, just not enough of them for the price being charged. A decade ago, I was on a business trip in Florida and decided instead of the heavy meals we had been enjoying, I wanted something lighter and convinced the team to come with me to Firehouse Subs for lunch. I'd never been there but had seen commercials on cable for years. It was an amazing meal and the entire team continued to remind me of that visit for years to come. When they finally came to Washington, I visited the Olympia location, it didn't hold up. The sandwich was thin, weak and did not impress. When I mentioned that to the owner, he apologized, but did not offer to remake my sandwich or refund me. So at that point, I wasn't sure I'd return to any location again. When I saw the sign at this location, I got excited, I figured I could give these guys another try without flying across country or driving multiple counties to get there. A variety of things didn't go right. The online ordering was offline and when I arrived in store, the cashier had trouble taking my order resulting in a sandwich that didn't impress, as well as me having to tolerate issues that just irritate me when spending my money. It always pays to make a positive first impression, but the true measure of a business is how they act or react when presented with an issue. I cut into the owner a little bit. I explained much of my frustration was based on factors outside of his control, like multiple website failures leading to excessive wait time in store, but at the end of it all, Travis made everything right. He could have been cross, he could have blamed it all on getting up to speed, but he swallowed his sack, took on all the wrong and made it right. That is how you win a customer and since this review will live on as the inaugural review of this location, let this be an example to corporate ownership. Don't put new owners in a bad spot. Subway serves garbage 7 days a week and, in my opinion, it's because corporate ownership made owners so unhappy that they no longer cared about what they served, and as prices skyrocketed, consumers started to realize the competition was a better choice. I'm tipping my hat to Travis, not too many businesses I will really wave a flag for, but I wish him and his team much success. read more
