Totally cute shop! We didn't buy anything, but Cindy (the owner, I think) was incredibly sweet and friendly. She gave us great recommendations for local places to eat and shared a bit about her journey--she moved here in '92 from the Caribbean and clearly loves both her business and The Crow's Nest next door. If you stop in, be sure to say hi to Cindy!

As soon as you walk in, there are advertisements for a seminar for how Covid Vaccines is there to control you. I wasnt expecting this from Village Nut House.

Super cute store full of fun gifts for your smartass and snarky friends. I definitely loved all the products they carry and the two ladies behind the cash register were the sweetest. Will be coming back to check their new inventory soon!

They have such cute stuff here ! So many great smelling candles with cute funny sayings. They have specialty candies and jams. Definitely a place to pick up a last minute gifts. There are so many novelty items.

Stopped in here on our trip to Big Bear and wow what a cute little place!! What drew us in was the smell from the candle they were burning.. safe to say we left with 4 candles. They smell amazing and have cute stickers to match the scent. We will definitely stock up again next time we're in the area. Not to mention the customer service was fantastic. Unfortunately I don't remember the employees name but he was so sweet and showed us all their signature scents. Love this little shop.

Love this place. The service never disappoints. It is always friendly and helpful. Head here if you need unique gifts. This is where I can always find something. Included a picture of my two favorites- maple syrup aged in whiskey barrels and cherries in rum. Each little section of the store has a theme. Help support the little stores if you are fortunate to have a job.

The wife and I walked by here frequently as we're getting our steps in around the village. This…read moretime we had the grandkids with us and we were on a mission for ice cream. When we stopped in the line was extremely long, which is great for the local businesses. The store has three unique sections. Ice cream, candy, chocolate, gummy, worms, etc., and caramel apples. I'm not sure if the employee was happy with us, but we ordered from every section. It almost seemed like he wanted us to go back and get in line to order from a new section but we didn't. I had peanut butter and chocolate on a cake cone that was outstanding. The wife had chocolate chip on a sugar cone and she also enjoy it. The grandkids had a variety of different flavors and I have to assume they enjoyed it because there was none left. The daughter ordered a caramel apple with some topping on it that she thoroughly enjoyed. She also ordered an extra one that was sliced that she shared with all of us. It had caramel and nuts on it. Very tasty. We also ordered different chili, flavored gummy worms and gummy rings. The grandkids thoroughly enjoyed. In addition, had to try out the chocolates. Had the dark chocolate haystack wasn't too impressed with it. Had a couple of dark chocolate cashew clusters. The wife said they were very good. The three employees that were working behind the counter we're doing a great job keeping the line moving. They also offer a discount if you eat at saucy mamas beforehand and bring your receipt. If you're visiting the village and get a sweet tooth this is a great place to stop.

The line moved quickly, and it was well worth the wait. We ordered a two-scoop waffle cone, which was absolutely humongous and incredibly delicious. The portions were generous, the ice cream was rich and flavorful, and there were so many tempting flavors to choose from that making a decision was the hardest part. The staff was friendly and efficient, the prices were reasonable, and the lively atmosphere added to the fun. It was the perfect way to end a relaxing day in the mountains. We'll definitely be back for another scoop (or two!) the next time we visit Big Bear.

It would elevate the sandwich to the next level. If you don't want to wait, place your order online and pick it up. You know how when you go to a tropical place and people say they're on island time well same goes here their on mountain time and everything takes a bit longer but its worth the wait. Staff is friendly and I believe the owner is the one who took care of me last time and he was a super cool & nice guy! This place is definitely the neighborhood hot spot.

It appears tiny but they maximize space by utilizing the upstairs and every inch is decorated with rustic pieces and the smell of coffee and pastries fills the air. Lines can sometimes reach out the door because the coffee and food is good, but the service needs work. I waited for my one coffee (a vanilla latte) for close to 30 minutes. My food order was also incorrect, but that took even longer so I wasn't about to change it. The baristas and cashiers work hard, but I'm afraid they are greatly understaffed and it takes forever to get coffee or food. All the workers seemed very stressed out and it took away from the happy environment on the inside. Maybe I came on an off day, so I hope to try it again in the future with a better experience.
