Let's start with the good. Very friendly people and that goes a long way with me. I was greeted immediately as I entered and asked if I could bring my pup in as I ordered and they said yes and even gave him a pup cup. However I ordered their back country burrito and it was average at best. Heavy on the egg and pico. There was hardly any bacon in it. And they didn't have hot sauce. I also got their August cold brew and it was pretty watered down. The flavors tasted a bit off. In addition the burrito was nearly $17 and the coffee was about $7. I definitely overpaid. Maybe I'll return to try other options, but not really the place for a breakfast burrito if you're looking for one. read more

This place was great! I got an iced dirty peach cobbler chai (seasonal summer drink) and it was really good! You know how sometimes coffee shops advertise a drink that's supposed to taste like something but really just tastes like a regular latte? That's not the case here. Their flavored coffee actually tastes like what they say it will! The line was all the way out the door when we went, so if you're in a rush this might not be the place unless you order ahead, which you can do. I discovered Moonridge Coffee Company a year ago and didn't review the very good cup of coffee I purchased. I returned this summer and let me say that they make a fantastic cup of coffee! This is a very cool, independent coffee shop where locals and tourists like me congregate. From the friendly folks behind the counter to the variety of comfortable seating options, this spot is a welcoming place to sip, eat, hang, play a game, or watch a Bob Ross episode. I'm kind of a coffee purist and really enjoyed their dark roast drip which was rich, dark, and smooth. The do have a full menu of hot and cold drink options which all looked just a tasty. On one of my visits, I ordered their Moonridge Breakfast Sandwich, without cheese. It was delicious and well constructed, with toasted sourdough, thick bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, some red onion, and a very yummy garlic aoli. They offer packets of hot sauce and other condiments for folks like me who want a bit of heat. I'm not a big pastry person, but their pasty case look really good with a wide variety of options. There are lots of coffee options in Big Bear and I've tried a few. I'll stick with Moonridge Coffee Company for a great cup of coffee and meal. The shop is veteran owned with lots of coffee enthusiasm marketed. The classic coffees are available, nothing out of the ordinary. They have matcha, teas, and beers as well. I got the caramel machiatto which was very milky IMO but decent. I ordered the avocado toast and moonridge club sandwich because some items weren't available after 11 am. The avocado toast was elevated with tomato and arugula (I think) and a citrus hint. The sandwich was probably the most enticing to me on their, what seems like, summer menu. Adorable little coffee shop in the middle of the Moonridge neighborhood. We met a friend for coffee here in the early morning and the ambiance of this little place is cute and charming. It appears tiny but they maximize space by utilizing the upstairs and every inch is decorated with rustic pieces and the smell of coffee and pastries fills the air. Lines can sometimes reach out the door because the coffee and food is good, but the service needs work. I waited for my one coffee (a vanilla latte) for close to 30 minutes. My food order was also incorrect, but that took even longer so I wasn't about to change it. The baristas and cashiers work hard, but I'm afraid they are greatly understaffed and it takes forever to get coffee or food. All the workers seemed very stressed out and it took away from the happy environment on the inside. This place is cute! It's such a vibe, everything seems to be made from scratch. The pastries are my favorite and the sandwiches are pretty good too just wish they would toast or warm up the bread. Moonridge coffee plays all the musical notes of a wonderful coffee shop and is pet friendly!!!! I went in with my now mother in law to get some coffee and breakfast for my now wife and the team that did her hair and makeup. This shop has a lot going on but it is such a wonderful place. The hostess was able to help me find a good tea for my wife as she had a little sore throat in the morning and it worked out perfectly!! I got a matcha with a shot of espresso and my mother in law got a latte. I also got the Mediterranean sandwich which was amazingly fresh and delicious and there I think it was moonridge breakfast sandwich and I really enjoyed it. The inside is spacious with two different seating areas and a seating area outside. I got a vanilla latte and an everything bagel. The latte had a good flavor. The oat milk made it taste very creamy. The bagel was great. It was slightly crispy on the outside and soft with a slight chew on the inside. My puppy enjoyed the outside seating and being greeted and petted by the customers. Busy, busy! We went last Tuesday, but as it was thanksgiving break for many I am assuming that was the reason for why. But it also means that it's good! We ordered two sandwiches, Mediterranean and a different breakfast one both were good. They are a small coffee shop but plenty of seating both inside and outside. Aside from tables they have chairs by the fireplace, a stools and couches. I didn't get to see upstairs but I'm sure there is seating there too. I absolutely loved their dragon fruit lemonade!! I wanted to check out some cafes while visiting big bear and this one was very near to where I was staying. I was craving something refreshing and this place definitely did not disappoint. Along with the lemonade we also ordered an Orange Blossom Matcha, Breakfast Bagel, and a Chocolate Almond Coffee Cake, all of it coming out to $36 with cash. I tried a few coffee places in town, and this is the best by far. Espresso is very good and the pastries were fresh and delicious. It does get very busy and there will probably be a line in the mornings, but it's definitely worth it. They have a cute upstairs and patio and plenty of seating for when you do get your coffee. read more

We probably waited close to if not over 20 minutes for 2 cubs of hot coffee, the coffee was similar to what you would brew yourself and flavors/creamers were the basics. I wonder if its proximity to a popular ski resort lead to the hype or long lines, but really did not find this spot to be worth the wait. MOONRIDGE COFFEE COMPANY @ BIG BEAR There is parking available right out front in a strip (it's more like street parking by diagonally), there were multiple spots available for free for two hours on Labor Day, the line was out the door! It's 10% off from Monday - Friday for locals and if you're also in the military. We were greeted by staff who came out to sample many pieces of their delicious bakery items such as the lemon loaf and chocolate banana bread. Both on the sweeter side but still delicious if you're craving it. The place itself was pretty spacious, a couple tables inside but many upstairs and outside. We were really excited to get their Moonridge Grinder sandwich with a combo of the tomato bisque or Minestrone, but unfortunately they didn't put a sign anywhere that said they were out/unavailable of the Minestrone soup, so it was a bummer waiting in the line just for us to get the tomatoes bisque, the total was about $21. The sandwhich was not good, it was cold, not grilled or atleast buttered, it was more on the bland side, and felt like it could've have been done a bit better. The tomatoe soup was watery, barely had flavor, I did really like the basil or the green leaves that was in the soup, wish there was more of that! The service was great however, staff were kind but i'd definitely try another item if i were to come back! read more

Moonridge is my favorite coffeeshop in Big Bear! After a day of skiing, I was ready to caffeinate. So were others, as the line was a bit long... but I take that as a good thing because other people love this place and are willing to wait in line to get their drinks! On my first visit (so far) I went with a vanilla cold brew with vanilla cold foam. Delicious, heavenly, perfect in every way! I would get this again (and again)! Moonridge is a cozy place with plenty of seating, even though it's a bit cramped. There is also outdoor seating, which was more spread out and looked very inviting! I believe they offered sandwiches on gluten-free bread (for a fee) and had one or two gluten-free pastries in their refrigerated case. Moon ridge coffee company is a solid coffee shop/cafe in big bear lake. Pros: Near the main town area, a short drive from the beach. Had a concise but solid menu full of choices of breakfast sandwiches to lunch items. The pastries here are really good. They handed out samples of the banana chocolate bread and lemon cakes while we waited in line and they were really tasty, moist, and fresh. They have a gender neutral bathroom that is clean and accessible. Parking is accessible on the street and had a decent amount of spots available. The ambiance inside is very cabin like, perfect for the big bear aesthetic. Although it was busy, the line went quick and the service here is quick once you order your food. I did note that I have seen drinks take a little longer than the food to make. Cons: I ordered the sandwich + soup combo for about $21 after tax. Thr sandwich I ordered was the moon ridge grinder and the soup being a tomato bisque. The sandwich was good but it would've have been 10x better if they toasted the bun. I wanted to get the minestrone soup but they said that tomato bisque was the only soup left. The tomato bisque was pretty watery and didn't add too much to the meal. I'd recommend just getting pastries here and maybe something else on the menu. Verdict: I'd recommend coming here for the pastries and the great customer service. My husband and I love this coffee shop. It's our go to place for lattes and refreshments. I got the 16 oz iced sugar free latte with caramel cold foam 10/10 it's on the sweeter side. Normally I like it less sweet and more dark but I was feeling a little sweet treat. My husband got the 16 oz iced dragon lemonade refreshment. The ambience is clean, cozy, and welcoming. Dog friendly, Beauty enjoyed her free pup cup. I love how they have front porch, back porch, first floor and second floor seatings. Perfect space for family to enjoy and your fur babies. The service was rarely quick and the baristas answered and recommended me a good substitute for cold foam. When l was here in the spring I got iced vanilla latte with strawberry cold foam. Best coffee spot away from the busyness of the Village. We discovered Moonridge Coffee Company when we stayed in Moonridge early 2024. Excellent coffee and delicious avocado toast. We stayed in Moonridge again recently and made sure to have MRCC on the itinerary. Stopped in an hour before close on a Friday afternoon. Both my husband and I ordered from the seasonal drink menu. Our pup, Boba, was treated to a pup cup. They are dog friendly indoors which is helpful on chilly and snowy days. Staff and owner are warm and welcoming. Everyone is so nice! It's cozy inside too with the log cabin feel and fireplace going. They have plenty of outdoor seating too. They do a pay-it-forward program. You can buy a coffee for someone to use later. Receipt is placed on a specific bulletin board. I saw a few receipts the other day and thought I'd contribute too. Veterans discount is a plus. We love it here. Matcha lover? Don't try this one. I wanted to like this mom & pop shop so bad! Waited around 20+ mins in line with only 3 groups of people in front of us on Valentine's Day . We did not mind the wait, the weather was perfect, parking was a breeze, cashier was nice & the hopes for a great matcha were high. As soon as I received my drink, the color was off, it didn't look appealing. Went outside to my car as the line grew, gave it a good stir and the verdict was NOT GOOD AT ALL!
