Had a mediocre experience. We ordered delivery, they went to the wrong address which totally happens I get it. But then once he finally got here (2 hours after ordering, which seems like more than just a mistaken address), the food was wrong. We didn't get an appetizer, a 2-Liter, and all the food was obviously cold by then. If it was fresh, I think I'd still have given it a 3.5 based on what we received. I live local and have patronized this business since it first opened. I have never been disappointed. My work crew of near 30 years work crew includes people from surrounding communities, and Village Pizza is our caterer of choice when we celebrate, or need food for a get together at work.. A great selection of pizzas, great wings, garic bites, Friday fried fish dinners, etc, The owner/chef seems an accomplished chef willing to experiment with what the market would like. read more

Ordered a pizza and wings, went to pick them up and the wings weren't even done yet. Got home and the pizza was rock hard, cold, and the wrong pizza. Called them back to explain what had happened only to have the OWNER call be back and yell. So brought the pizza back to show them and the owner came out yelling, in front of his other customers and children he has working for him. Asking a customer to "take it outside" to get into a physical altercation. Terrible business man, will NEVER be ordering there again. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Visited Village Pizza on my trip to the area and had the pizza and garlic bites. The garlic bites were fried dough with garlic, cheese and deliciousness. I had the pepperoni pizza and white pizza. First day getting takeout, the cheese pizza was very good. Service was friendly. A few days later ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. It was horrible. The middle half of the pizza was waterlogged and soggy. It seems to me they used BBQ sauce in place of regular pizza sauce, and it soaked entirely through the crust and made soup. The slices fell apart as I served them. Also there was only about 1-2 little pieces of chicken on each slice. Threw half of the pizza in garbage. Total waste of my $20. If I wasn't in hurry I wud have taken it back to get a refund. I suggest Management rethink their prep of a BBQ pizza and just put the BBQ sauce on the chicken and maybe also drizzle across the top. read more

A Perfect place to stop for lunch when being in the area. Place is clean for the most part. The pizza is not bad for upstate NY considering most places I have been to in upstate have not been very good for pizza. I can tell you that this place does a whole heck of a better job with business than Piasanos just across the street. Piasanos is very dirty, worst pizza I have ever had other than pizza at Six Flags Theme Park, and it sure reminds me of that. The village pizza has friendly people, but I think could use more staff. Other than that, a good place to stop by. I even have a friend who works there by doing a fantastic job making pizza boxes :) read more

Got food delivered, paid with a credit card, I had no cash, and really didn't have money left, my husband and I have been remodeling our home so money is tight, the only reason we ever ordered out is because our kitchen is not in working order at the moment, and we needed to feed our kids and our selves. The owner decided to call our house after the food was delivered and complain that we didn't tip the driver...now I know damn well I'm not the only person who hasn't given a tip or been able to really afford giving one at the moment. To me that was very rude, the previous time we ordered from there we DID TIP the driver. Never again will I do business with this place, and I hope this guy realizes that's not a way to keep his buissness going. read more

We get a different pizza every time me order... ALWAYS GOOD. The broccoli roll was really good! The wings with medium sauce is amazing with great flavor. Always fresh and hot when we pick it up. The owner and staff are always friendly! The price for the food there is extremely reasonable and worth it! We are glad to have a good pizza place close to home. read more

i have eaten here 7 times so far and i never got the same thing twice and i'm happy to say i was very please with each item i got, wings, pizza, stromboli, calzone, poppers, sub's, calamari area few things i have tried so far and all is great! next i will try his fish fry and his fish dinner. so if you want to eat at the best place in altamont during prime times order well a head of time because everybody is going there. finally a place in altamont with good food at good prices. read more

The village pizza is by far the worst pizza place around! Not only was the staff completely disrespectful to me but the owner himself told me to kiss his ass and to fuck off. They were over 2 hours late for the 3rd time. I paid for the pizza but gave no tip because Iÿ felt they didn't deserve one. I went inside opened the pizza box to see a slime half uncooked pizza. I called to tell them there was a problem and the staff yelled at hand that they wouldn't fix my order or give me a refund because I didn't tip the driver and hung up on me. The following morning I called the owner bob to tell him what had happened. He yelled at me for not tipping his driver then told me to fuck off and kiss his ass as he to hung up on me. Awful service from the second I walked in. Nobody even acknowledged I was there for a solid 3 minutes (and they stared right at me several times). the older lady at the counter didn't know what kind of pizzas they had and said they were out of plain when there was a full pie in the window. I wanted to try the pizza since the place opened and i was thoroughly dissapointed by just about everything except for two things. 1 - It was very clean inside (everything was new) and... 2 - there was a large TV inside. It took 10 minutes to heat up 2 slices (It was hard and overcooked as you could imagine). Then the slices got cold as I waited another 5 minutes for the garlic bites to come out of the deep fryer. AND THEN I WAITED ANOTHER 5 MINUTES FOR SOMEONE TO GIVE ME THE GARLIC BITES!!!! All the while there were 3 young gentleman standing around looking helpless and being super unhelpful. After roughly 25 minutes spent in the pizza place I was finally on my way. Thanks for nothing Village Pizza. I'll go to Paesanos EVERY time after this experience. read more
