I got a hot tip from a friend about Village pub and poker. And to my surprise, they're all over Vegas, which is so convenient. Not sure if all of them are the same but this one on Gibson was absolutely the best part of my trip. I love a hearty meal in a relaxed environment at a good price. So if that's up your alley, then village pub and poker is the place for you as well. I would never expect such great diner like reasonable food in a place like this. It's much more of a bar atmosphere but the dining is excellent. And the staff is amazing. I felt so at home we joked around and had a really good time. Our service was great and the meal was relaxing and fun. Of all the crazy experiences I've had in Vegas. This is the top of my best of list. read more

I recall when this place had some of the best ribs but today I was very disappointed with them. They were VERY tough, crunchy & dry even with the large amount of barbecue sauce they tried to use to cover up the LACK of flavor!! If I didn't know better I would say they were thrown in the microwave!! The 2 stars out of 5 are for the server & burger that we also ordered. Yes, 5 stars based on perfect fulfillment of my expections! Might not be a 5 star restaurant compared to fancier places here in Vegas, but where else can you get a perfectly cooked medium rare prime rib dinner for $22? It's the Saturday special and includes your choice of soup or salad, potatoes and veggies. This time I had a fresh tossed salad with crispy lettuce and ranch dressing, the baked potato with all the fixings and a vegetable medley. And that also include creamy horseradish and au jus. I am a fan of the Village Pub. Every time I have visited one whether it be a drink or a meal, I have left impressed. So when my brother and I recently hiked along the Union Pacific Railroad Trail from Cornerstone Park to Gibson Road, we decided on the Gibson at American-Pacific Village Pub. Believe it or not we had to walk around the building to find the entrance that had a speakeasy vibe. We entered through a brown door that gave me little indication this was an entrance. When we walked in our friendly Waitress greeted us by welcoming us to take any table. Unlike the Desert Shores, Eastern at Wigwam, and the Sunset by the airport locations; this one is an open room with tables and a bar. What really differentiates this one from the three that I mentioned is that it takes on more of a modern warehouse look with dim lighting while lacking the familiar pub theme. When I looked at the menus, I expected to see the impressive selection of reasonably priced quality food. For the record, the Village Pub offers their Daily Special. I came down to the question of: "Should I order the Chicken parmesan or the fish & chips?" I knew from previous visits that both are fantastic. I would ask the friendly Waitress for her opinion. She suggested the fish & chips. She told me that this recipe has been around for fifty years. While we waited and ate the food we listened to classic rock. This was an upbeat soundtrack to chilling out and digging into good food. The fish & chips costed $11.99 plus tax. It was comparable to the delicious fish & chips that I have experienced at many pubs across the Country. In lieu of the two patties that many restaurants serve, the Village Pub fills the plate with three. Regardless of their sufficient selection of beer including their own Ellis brand (they are owned by Ellis Island), I ordered a Coke. I did not want to be buzzed returning to the Union Pacific Railroad Trail. Our friendly Waitress offered to-go cups which left a nice last impression. This location continues to leave me impressed with the Village Pub brand. It has been far easier for me to reward them 4 Stars than it was to find the entrance. read more

The food is always excellent and Matt the bartender and Renata provide excellent service and are very friendly. We love the atmosphere as it is chill and not crowded and it is close to where we live. We enjoy going here for breakfast and lunch. The steak and eggs are a great value and their pot pie is the best that I have had. Normally I would not give one of these places 2 stars but I'll tell you this, one of the reasons I like this place is because normally they have amazing French Onion Soup. Not on this day....who ever was the cook on this day which was Sunday, does not know how to limit salt. Two of use ordered the French Onion Soup and it was SO salty neither of us were able to finish the soup. I took two bites and said NOPE. My friend tried but could not eat it either. In addition there was almost no cheese on either soup. Both were sent back and taken off the bill. The rest of the food was good. The service was just ok, the server came by rarely which was odd because we were the only table, every one else was sitting at the bar, so we had to request refills of drinks several times. This is the first time I can say I really had a bad experience with the food at a Village Pub. Normally the food is spot on but not today. Oh well.... read more

Renata is a fantastic waitress, if I was just rating her it would be 5 stars. Since I'm not just rating her, I'll tell you the rest. Fish was great, chips are just ok. Steak was decent enough, but hadn't been seasoned much before cooking. We won't be back though because of the old nasty smoke smell. I forgot what it was like to eat in a "smoking or non" restaurant, but I realized it's really not my cup of tea now. This Village Pub is similar to other locations. Steak and eggs for $7.99, French Toast for $6.99, you literally can't find a better deal. This location was a little smaller than others and the restaurant isn't separated from the bar, but that doesn't bother us. Our server was Amy, super friendly and able to get our food quick. I have never had a bad experience here. The food is always good. If you get breakfast potatoes, ask for them well done. The Chicken Pot Pie is shockingly good. All food aside, Cammi is the highlight here. For being the early morning weekday girl, she is suspiciously cheery all the time. But she is definitely a great reason to go there. This Village Pub & Poker is located near the Valley Automall in Henderson. It's location is also near a neighborhood and Touro University, it's a pretty busy area but good for business. I like to drop in to this Village Pub every so often to always get great customer service and good food. Some of the food I've had here included but limited to, their Fish & Chips, chicken fried chicken, dinner salad, onion rings, and steak fries. I gotta say one of my fav's is their Fish & Chips. I've been to other places where it's been just OK but this Village Pub cooks it very delicious in taste, flaky and crisp just right. Their Fish & Chips are made with Icelandic Cod, this might be the reason why it's so good and I tend to find myself going back for more. But all-in-all I've haven't received nothing but really good customer service here and the wait, if there is any, has always been short on their pretty busy days. When we first walked in we were greeted by the bar tender and he told us to chose a place to sit, he came right over with menus and gave us the specials for the night, got our drinks and brought them right to us. I've come to this joint 2 times and idk how to spell the late night bartenders name it's Desiree I believe. It's really hard to understand why this girl is a bartender. I know I'm not a regular or anything but holy shit. She blatantly ignores us and it's not busy. There's 3 other people at the bar. We have had to ask for a drink 3 times and then she still takes her time. It's really difficult to want to stop in there. Have a quick drink after work. A shot. Not even a drink. No food. She serves you and you still have to wait another 20 minutes for her to bring you a chaser when you already have your shot. She then makes smart comments as if WE are being assholes. I've been in the service industry for 30 plus years and idk how she makes money to begin with and how she still has a shift she can't handle. There is no reason for her to be asshole. We don't even want to play there due to this. I work down the street and it's really sad that she can treat people like garbage for no reason. If she can't handle a bar with more than 5 people she should probably have someone working with her or a different shift. I'd have lost my job a long time ago if that was the case. Had the Fish and Chips, which they advertise as a known good dish, it wasn't. It was an odd place the chairs in the bar area were these big wing back chairs. They are pretty worn, I sank in and being short my legs dangled. As I said had the fish and chips. And here is another odd happening our food was brought over but because they were sooo busy we had no silverware. So we had hot fried food and no silverware for 6 minutes from the time the meal was brought over. Got the servers attention and he comes over and says do you need anything? Village pubs are a branch off of Ellis Island casino, which is great! If your in the mood for cheap drinks and tasty food it's a great bar to visit! The fish n chips is awesome! It is not overly breaded so you get the good taste of the fish and the steak fries are some of the best I've had in Vegas!
