Stopped in here for a drink while waiting for the drum circle to get into more of a fervor. Despite the nice weather, decided to sit inside given there were a couple of intoxicated rough looking guys seated on the patio. Available on tap was a well-curated offering of Irish beers, local beers, and even a couple of ciders, a kombucha, and sangria. My companion ordered a Foothills Jade IPA and I ordered a dry vodka martini. Who knew that would be a challenging request? After waiting 5-10 minutes for our drinks in the mostly empty bar, the server came over to tell me they were out of Vermouth, so I said I'd take it dirty, which I guess was also a challenge, but the bartender finally found the olive juice, but then didn't have a martini glass, and I said a highball glass is fine. I'm sure if I'd just stuck with something on tap, everything would have come promptly, but honestly I've never seen a full bar struggle with a vodka martini. We were hungry at this point so ordered the Rachel and Rueben egg rolls which were tasty and cooked well, but could have used a little more filling. At least the sever was friendly and the location spot on. Bottom line - if you're looking to drop in for a draft while near Pritchard Park, this is a decent option, as long as you can avoid the homeless drunks outside.

Fake fireplace by our table. It even made crackly noises! I loved it lol.

Cozy, quiet, a fake fireplace... what more could you ask for? Staff was prompt and friendly. I had the shepherds pie (the full order - $18) and a glass of Sauvignon blanc. My partner got 1 highland Gaelic. Total was almost $40, so that's why I gave it 4/5. A lil pricey, but the food was so good, I ate it before I remembered to take a photo. Would recommend for some late night yummy food.

All hail to Queen Charlotte, for being the pub host with the brightest smile and the biggest heart. She made the 90 minutes I spent there watching my beloved Atlanta United futbol team a complete joy. It was a quiet Saturday in the pub and when asked to change one of the televisions to the game, Charlotte obliged with a smile and even turned up the volume. The pub was clean and nice with the accoutrements like dark wood, steady table and chairs and dart boards. There are even two electric fireplaces, to set the old world pub ambiance. Since I had already eaten just before coming to the pub I didn't eat anything. However, I did try a Sierra Nevada (Sunny Lil Thing) wheat ale and it was tasty. This place is definitely going on my list of places to visit whenever I'm in Asheville. If for no other reason, I'd stop in to see the Queen herself, Charlotte.

A great late night spot. Definitely gets busy for dinner and for late night drinks. Right in downtown so it's super accessible.

Thankfully, they took the bangers off the bill

My wife has known me 14 years, and in that time I have never sent food back. Not sure if I have ever sent food back? We ordered potato skins and bangers and mash, everything was overcooked and we were informed the cook was leaving and wouldn't be back for 45 minutes. Charlotte was very sweet about the whole thing, she is the only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 1, and we understand there are challenges sometimes, at least the beer was good!

Once we walked in, it felt like we went back in time and it was very whimsical. Our bartender Nick was amazing and so personable. They had an extensive wall of all kinds of liquor and I loved how it was all spread out and not neat and tidy. You could tell Nick was very knowledgeable and had passion for the mixology of cocktails. He made a killer smoked old fashioned and kept us company. We enjoyed the vibe even though it wasn't busy but Nick really made it a great time!

In my opinion: I should patronize the business and tip the band if I like them, and the business that hired them should pay them. No? With that, I'd bookmarked Crow & Quill on my Asheville to-do list and walked over from our hotel, so we paid and proceeded to the bar. After grabbing our first round, we were fortunate to find great seats in the packed house. Thankfully, I enjoyed the "surprise band" and they added to our first experience (and our tab) at Crow & Quill. lol... Cheers!

We went all out with appetizers and main courses, and everything was excellent. For starters, my husband ordered the buffalo chicken bites and I got the fried pickles. Both were perfectly prepared, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The burgers were the absolute highlight. I ordered the "Bacon Crunch" style Juicy Lucy, which came stuffed with cheese and topped with bacon jam, pickles, crisp bacon slices, and potato chips for a perfect crunch. My husband went for the "Lucy Loco" burger, which came loaded with jalapeños. Both burgers had incredible flavor, were an ample size, and hit the spot perfectly. The sides were just as impressive. I had the sweet potato fries, and my husband ordered the fried green beans--which were uniquely delicious and really well done. To top it all off, our server, Carla, was very nice and incredibly attentive throughout our meal. Juicy Lucy's is a must-visit, and I will definitely be stopping by again on my next trip to Asheville!

We ordered an appetizer that came out the same time as our food. That was the second indication that this was not the best. Then I found a hair in the fried pickles I was eating. I just sat it down and started on my steak. I ordered a ribeye medium. The steak ended up being cooked in evenly. Half was well done and the other half was rare. The steak was a cheap cut and mostly fat and gristle. The fries were cold too. We were sat near a family with inattentive parents with three kids, making the entire experience just that little bit extra. The waitress stoped by once about two minutes after all the food and apps came out and then one last time to give the check. So if you enjoy poor hygiene, a slow paced staff, bad food, and atmosphere that will make your blood boil, then Juicy Lucy's may be the perfect spot for you. However, if you have any standards, I'd suggest going elsewhere. Sincerely, I hope your team improves but I will not return to find out. The only positive was the one beer I tried was decent.

Google calls it "American" cuisine, which is basically the one cuisine I don't do, but this place does offer some nice vegetarian options. Wanting to save some room for my food tour, I got a salad with a veggie skewer on top, but I did indulge in some lentil fritters. Fried bean paste is always a winner (technically lentils are not beans). The fritters were savory and the clash between their freshly fried texture and the cool dill-flavored dipping sauce and mixed pickled vegetables was quite robust. My salad delivered the promised crunch, and the shiitake shishito kabob had a wide variety of freshly barbecued vegetables, but unlike my appetizer this dish was missing an extra flavor touch.
