They offer both interior and exterior seating, with the exterior being dog friendly. Parking can be tough as there is only street parking which can get full depending on peak times. Apart from this there are parking garages scattered throughout the downtown area that do charge fees. The location wasn't extremely busy when I arrived, however, there were a lot of patrons. My husband and I each ordered a meal, drink, and an appetizer to share. Mo complaints! Everything was so flavorful. Despite the nice weather, decided to sit inside given there were a couple of intoxicated rough looking guys seated on the patio. Available on tap was a well-curated offering of Irish beers, local beers, and even a couple of ciders, a kombucha, and sangria. My companion ordered a Foothills Jade IPA and I ordered a dry vodka martini. Who knew that would be a challenging request? After waiting 5-10 minutes for our drinks in the mostly empty bar, the server came over to tell me they were out of Vermouth, so I said I'd take it dirty, which I guess was also a challenge, but the bartender finally found the olive juice, but then didn't have a martini glass, and I said a highball glass is fine. I'm sure if I'd just stuck with something on tap, everything would have come promptly, but honestly I've never seen a full bar struggle with a vodka martini. We were hungry at this point so ordered the Rachel and Rueben egg rolls which were tasty and cooked well, but could have used a little more filling. All hail to Queen Charlotte, for being the pub host with the brightest smile and the biggest heart. She made the 90 minutes I spent there watching my beloved Atlanta United futbol team a complete joy. It was a quiet Saturday in the pub and when asked to change one of the televisions to the game, Charlotte obliged with a smile and even turned up the volume. The pub was clean and nice with the accoutrements like dark wood, steady table and chairs and dart boards. There are even two electric fireplaces, to set the old world pub ambiance. Since I had already eaten just before coming to the pub I didn't eat anything. However, I did try a Sierra Nevada (Sunny Lil Thing) wheat ale and it was tasty. This place is definitely going on my list of places to visit whenever I'm in Asheville. If for no other reason, I'd stop in to see the Queen herself, Charlotte. read more

It was fine and fit the bill. Which was...open for a while after 10:30pm and serving food late night. We stopped in with a LARGE group on a Saturday night after a late soccer tournament game. We were able to smash together a bunch of tables and get service both at the tables (for food orders) and at the bar (for drink-only orders). Food came out pretty quick despite so many customers and a rush of orders. The food was hot and ready to eat, it got the job done but it wasn't anything special. The drinks flowed and a good, loud time was had. I would have rather the tvs been playing any kind of sports, old or new...or random late night shows...or nothing at all...than what they were playing. Which was ultra right-wing conspiracy-adjacent programming... But we didn't stay too long. Not sure I would return when there are so many other great things in town to choose from. I was hoping for a 7 but expecting a 5-6. Their pints were undrinkable. The guy behind the bar pour the first two onto a spoon. When he served it to me I told him I'm certified to pour a proper pint and what he did wasn't correct and ask to pay for two more if he did it again. He was rude. So we sat down. Tried both. Easily the worst Guinnesses I've ever had. He came back dropped off the check I offered two pay for two more Guinnesses if I could pour my own behind the bar and show him how. He declined but said he'd pour to my specifications. I told him how. He didn't. Gave another bad pour. Again undrinkable. We left 3 80% full Guinnesses on the table. Both the guy and the gal behind the bar were rude to us when we asked for a better pour. The woman said the pour needed 19 seconds - Guinness says closer to 2 minutes. Both bartenders were rude. I own the family Irish corner cupboard that came over with her mother on the boat from Ireland in 1850. The cupboard, and the recipes, were passed down, mother to daughter, to my mother. Great Atmosphere with good service but Food needs to be kicked up a notch. Took a Sunday off and drove to Asheville to take pictures and enjoy the town. I grew up only about 20 miles from here and I wanted to see how it had changed. Asheville has become a destination but then again it always had been attracting the likes of O'Henry, F Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald and of course Thomas Wolfe. After a couple of hours of walking around, it was 2:30 and I wanted to grab lunch. Saw this Irish pub and thought to myself how good a nice Sheppard's pie would be so I stopped it. Nice outside dining area but the temperature was in the '90's and I wanted to get to a nice cool place. Walked in and was immediately seated. The whole time I was there, the service was very good and no complaints there. Atmosphere is nice and what you would expect for an Irish Sports Bar with all large screens tuned in to Soccer of before I get corrected by an Irish fan, football. Nice menu and there of course, was my Sheppard's Pie. Since my wife did not accompany me, I called her and she asked I bring her back something and she finally decided on Corned Beef and Cabbage. This is where the restaurant is lacking. While the Sheppard's Pie was fairly good, it was what you would expect out of Sysco or another Food Service Provider. Made well in advance, no gravy or sauce, rather dry and made to be reheated or microwaved at the last moment. My wife on the other hand, did enjoy her Corned Beef and Cabbage. This place has potential if it made some additional effort in the Cuisine direction. I would suspect that they picture themselves as more of an Irish Pub than a neighborhood Irish Pub that also serves good food. read more

No one was at the hostess stand so I assumed we seat ourselves. We sit down and it took 3-4 min for a waitress to approach us. The service was okay, but to be the only customers at a table it was definitely below average. Then when we go to pay, the waitress said the card system wasn't working (which I also noticed now was a problem 11mo ago for another reviewer). So, I would suggest they take "accepts cards" off of their page and also let customers know upon arrival they do not take cards.
