Where's the best fast food place for my lunch hour? Village quick lube of course! Was on my way to Wendy's next door and had always been fascinated by this kitschy-cool looking place. Needed my oil changed badly so I dropped in here. There were only 2 bays which I thought meant no way it could be that fast, but they have it down to a science. Pulled up behind one other car in line and immediately a friendly helpful attendant came out. The ball cap and goatee were my only reminders that I wasn't back in the 50s. They have a picnic bench outside for seating and WiFi so I grabbed a bite next door and by the time I got back and sat down to eat, they had my car down and ready to go. Now, I'm always cautious of going to get my oil changed in most places because most places treat me like I am just a dumb girl or try to pressure upsell me. And because I know how to change my own oil, I can see through the game. However, I'm also admittedly lazy when it comes to car maintenance so when he said he noticed my blades (and nothing else) I was grateful and bought because I did need new ones. And make no mistake - all of this quick, friendly, memorable experience came at a very reasonable price wise too, which makes it well worth a drive to newtown. A huge menu of maintenance options sits behind the counter, just like at a fast food restaurant. Each is explained in layman's terms and priced. There are simple options for basic car care and others which let you choose your own grades of oil. In addition to changing fluids, Village Quik Lube also does under-the-hood and under-the-car maintenance. The mechanics are quick and friendly. I'm usually in and out within 20 minutes. They top off the fluids for free and let you know if they experience any warning signs of bigger problems so you can take the car to a technician. I come for the nostalgic decor, but return for the efficiency. Regardless if there are a queue of customers, my wait time has always been only 20 minutes. read more

What a great place! I ran into an issue with my wife's brakes and couldn't make it it to another auto shop. I swung into Village Quick Lube to see if they could at least diagnose the issue (figuring this may not be on their list of services). They were AMAZING! Kevin and his techs went above and beyond to help me out, call all distributors, dealers, and even junk yards to try and help me find the right part to fix the issue. I had to wait a little longer for an oil change. It took about 2 hours, I thought it was because they were busy, but I found my mechanic on his phone constantly, making texts and calls on his cell phone. Will not use this service again if this is what the employees are paid again. read more
