Food was barely ok , I ordered a steak super burrito, there was no waiting to order, very friendly service, 6 to 7 minutes later my to go order was ready When I stopped to eat I unwrapped burrito and took a bite , the tortilla was wasn't soft but not hard, after 6 bites it was apparent that this place used a lot of rice to make their burrito seem larger, I never tasted any type of beans, I never tasted any sour cream , I never tasted any cheese , the lettuce was fresh, the grilled onions and jalapeno were better than the burrito. It's Mexican food. There's no signature must have item on the menu. The service was fast and semi friendly. Located exactly where it should be. Only problem I have is the music volume. We had to sit under the 'jukebox' aka TV mounted on the wall. It was the only seat available. It was at max volume and we found it hard to hear each other. We asked to have it lowered and they obliged for 10 minutes and then cranked it right back up. We stared at them and they stared at us. This place was the first dine in restaurant that I tried since moving to Los Banos. Not to mention, it's located 3 blocks from my house. It's located next to a theater and water store. Not hard to find. I ordered the quesadilla with carne asada and got horchata. I was surprised at the size of my food lol! I had 3 large slices. Fresh from the stove! I had difficulty eating it since it was so hot. Hot as in I should of used utensils to eat it instead of my bare hands lol! It was super yummy and the plate came with their hot sauce which complimented the quesadilla. The only cons that I found was that the tables are not always cleaned. The trash is not always thrown out when it's full. Their bathroom does not have a working light switch. So expect to pee in total darkness! read more

I've been to probably over 100 taquerias in the Bay Area from San Francisco to Watsonville over the past 16 years. The habanero tortillas with habanero meat is the most spicy Mexican dish I've ever had. The meat actually has flavor. The prices were high. A plate of rice and beans was $4.50. The lady making the food had no gloves on, gross. Mind you she had on like 2-3 inch fake nails. She was grabbing the cilantro and onions and putting in on the tacos my husband ordered. Our order came out one at a time about 5 minutes apart for each of us. I had a menudo and the tortillas given to me about 10 minutes in. I had to ask if they would reheat it in the microwave. They can also use better customer service since the women who work there talk to each other about how I complained. I pay for my food, I expect it to be the way I ordered. read more

This is Mexican food by Mexicano's. It is authentic & hand made. The flavors are reminiscent of my grandmothers kitchen. Not BOLD, but the wonderful subtle flavors of marinated meat for the carne asada. They serve tripotas, lengua, chicharrone & cachete, in addition to carnitas & pastor. Wonderful flavor. Their rice is delicately cooked, their pintos are flavors of bacon, onion , salt & cheese. On Sat & Sun they offer Menudo & Birra. My parents, husband & I all enjoyed our huge burritos on our late night pass through Los Banos. Will be glad to eat there again when next going back & forth from Sacto to SoCal. This place is a weekly must. Normally get a regular chicken or asada burrito, add cheese and sour cream (ask for it to be toasted or "dorado") that way it has a crispy outside texture and I love my food hotter than normal and the cheese is melted. I eat there so it usually comes with radishes and lemons. I can say that it's been very consistent which is great! Only thing I would say is that the extra charge for salsa is blahhh because I'm a very saucy person but it's understandable. Decided to give this place a shot and it was terrible. A friend and I ordered tacos de pollo and they literally took chicken off an over cooked drum stick and shredded it. Not to mention, all of their food (at least what I could see) was already prepared and sitting under heat lamps. I don't know how long they've been sitting there but it must've been too lit because the quality of the food was terrible. 1/10, do not recommend this place. Honestly one of my top three taquerias in town. I love the habanero tortillas and burritos!! They are mega spicy like the diablo taco they have as well. If your a spicy fanatic this might be your taqueria of choice in town. Birria tacos on the weekends is a plus. I had came to this place because it was recommended by a coworker of mine.The wait was seriously long for only 4 people who ordered and I was the last one. For 6 people working in the kitchen. The lobby was messy as ever. Even a few cockroaches were running around in the lobby. One had even fell from the ceiling onto my shirt which was a terrible experience. I had mentioned it to the woman up front but she didnt seem to care at all. Throughout my entire time waiting most of the woman were gossiping in the backroom. I gave this place a chance and my family and I weren't satisfied. I ordered 4 burritos that did not have any flavor. My dad was like where did you buy those burritos at. This is authentic Mexican food! I came here for dinner with my family, it was so bomb. The girls were very nice! We ordered a bunch of handmade tortilla tacos and the Asada and chicken tacos are the best! My mom also loves their shrimp tacos and my dad loved their torta de asada. My little brother also ordered a burrito and said it was delicious. They even grilled onions and jalapeños for you if you ask them and make you feel like you're in Mexico eating tacos. I am giving one star for trying, but its one of the worst meat flavors i have tasted. Carnitas needed seasoning and to be heated they were cold.
