Even though I had heard about this place, I was leary because all the Yelp reviews were so old. However, the place was packed and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the Saturday special 8oz Filet and added sautéed mushrooms and herb butter. They do charge extra for every single little thing, but these items "made" the steak. Hubby had the smoked Pork Chop with a baked potato (which we shared; upcharge to get it "loaded" which meant they added cheese to the butter and sour cream). Fresh hot bread and butter came with the meal. Both entrees were Yumm-oh! Our waitress was attentive and friendly and busy. I also got a glass of Moscato wine, which was tasty. And we ordered the Brownie Sundae for dessert, which unfortunately did not live up to our expectations. I'd definitely skip the $9! dessert. The total bill was North of $100, so kind of pricey for us, but we did like what we had. I just wanted to add a review that was current.

I visited with a party of 8, and across eight varied and unique entrees, everyone absolutely loved their meal. Fried fish came out deliciously crispy in cornmeal batter, salads were freshly chopped and vibrant, and my blackened chicken was perfectly tender. I am usually a stickler for taking photos to go with my reviews but I forgot this time as the meal looked so good - everything was that tasty! :) Service was excellent and the rural atmosphere was calm and serene. The restaurant is nestled outside of town next to rolling hills and a large pond that makes for scenic views. I highly recommend a visit to anyone who's in the area!

Today was the day and our lunch did NOT disappoint! I order the hot toast beef dinner. At most diners you get flat almost processed pieces of meat. Not here. I got two heaping mounds of delicious roast! And the mashed potatoes were amazing!!! Our waitress was super friendly and gave me a to go cup of soda. It was Mother's Day and they offered every mom a red rose. I will definitely be stopping here again next time I pass through Kansas.

The baked potato was mushy and tasteless. The salad bar used to be so great and it offered a lot of empty, rancid containers. I had to spit the pea salad out. The broccoli salad was brown. Literally brown and they still were trying to serve it! The watermelon smelled sour and looked slimy. My salad dressing tasted spoiled as well. It was the worst food I've had there! I won't be going back. It definitely wasn't worth the $50+ I paid for our 2 meals. Better to spend my money at Boomer's. Their meals are always delicious and on point!

As in the fillings were falling out of hubs Rueben sandwich which could have fed us both. I had a half tenderloin, also huge. Rueben was great, tenderloin pretty darn good, hot out of the fryer, breading perfect, I wished for a bit more seasoning, but overall very good. Suggest you order an entree to share and pick up an extra side unless you want leftovers. We saw a couple hamburgers come out and I don't think even hubs could finish one. I'd like to go back and save room for pie! This place is popular so expect it to be busy and the food may take longer than 5 minutes but it's okay because the locals are friendly and if you're there, you're a local too.

My wife had the grilled chicken BLT and she loved it as well. The tables in the front room main seating area are designed to be more family style to accommodate more patrons. I understand that there is additional seating in the back, but I did not see it. It was busy when we arrived around 11:25AM for lunch. Our server told us that the tenderloin would take a little bit of time and we were fine with that. Any sandwich that has a pizza box as it's "to go" package has to be huge. I have eaten a lot of pork tenderloins growing up in the Midwest, but have never had one as meaty, tenderloin and spiced perfectly as this one. The pie and brownies looked awesome and the burgers were huge also and loaded with meat. We will be back!
