According to the waiter, this was homemade lobster ravioli with shrimp , it was terrible

This restaurant was highly recommended, situated in a residential Neighbourhood ,the sign says waterfront, the back of the restaurant faces a canal. Not sure if that justifies the name. The service was good and friendly, but I think the waiter lied to me about the raviolis being homemade , the lobster ravioli had no lobster in it and there was one shrimp that was cut into three pieces, overwhelmed with a cream sauce, definitely feel very bamboozled. 1000% not homemade. The veal Oso Buco was served with no vegetables, had no flour and the sauce was missing, we asked for a side of pasta with marinara. The marinara was horrible. It had an overwhelming taste of oregano according to other reviews they're under new ownership not sure if they're going to last very long one of the worst meals I've ever had.

Was looking forward to dinner as remembered good Italian food, decent wine selection, and good service. The prices went up as with all the other places. Ceasar salad $15 and beet salads $18, tasted ok, bit sparse. Baked clams good. The bread was disappointing, as seemed like white bread and not the rustic good quality bread. The Farfalle Alla Roberto was mostly pasta, dry, little asparagus and shrimp. Linguine Frutti did Mare was tasty $37. Osco Bucco was on the specials and was very good. My tiramasu was small, too sweet, disapponting. The bus lady provided excellent service. In summary, at these higher prices and the misses mentioned, not sure will rtn.

Fantastic staff, so kind, so professional, they give excellent service, 110%. Midweek lunch specials are the way to go if you're on a budget. We were here for a family occasion and were treated like royalty. I can't wait to go back again for a girls lunch, especially when the weather is warm and we can sit outside. Food is good, most dishes could use more seasoning. For example, the stuffing in the peppers on the hot antipasto was bland and mushy with no flavor.

A beautiful restaurant with great food and drinks. It is my favorite and the entire staff treats you like family!

Big thank you to Villa de aqua! They really made my grandmother's 87th birthday special. My grandmother grew up in the house next door so we picked this location just for that. We were very pleasantly surprised by the exceptional friendly service. The food was great too.

Food was delicious. We were able to sit right on the deck by the water. Had the Bronzino and pollo serritino and both were great!

Our waitress made us feel completely comfortable we were laughing, having side conversations, and genuinely enjoying ourselves all night. By the end of the evening, she even said, "Goodnight, love you!" and quickly laughed saying she didn't mean to say it. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service.

Compared to the farmingdale location the ambiance of this one is giving forgotten step sister aside from the back table(pictured on the website)they did up very nicely. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very sweet and managed a basically full bar attending to every guest with care. We ordered the Italian nachos which we loved and the Picasso. The nachos had a generous amount of crumbled sausage cheese and bruschetta as well as some spicy peppers. We really enjoyed the nachos. The Picasso was a nice size, but the sandwich lacked a little seasoning and needed a little more balsamic. It felt kind of dry. For cocktails we got the strawberry lemon drop, it tasted a little medicinal and the cucumber lime spritz type drink(I can't recall the exact name). This one was very good. An overall very mixed experience but I want to give it another shot even if only for the nachos

Both were very good and we enjoyed them. For dessert we ordered a cannoli and split it. First off, all the dishes including the cannoli are large and meant to be shared, unless you order half portions. That cannoli! It was the best cannoli we've ever had, you pull pieces of the shell off and dip it into the cannoli cream, amazing!

We had taken the AirTrain from JFK to the LIRR, and rolled into Mio Posto with our carry-on luggage and backpacks. It's only a block from the Merrick station and we hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. Somehow we were unaware of its existence, despite living only a few miles down the road, so we were happily surprised to see a lively crowded bar with a younger group on the right, a high ceiling, well spaced and white-table-clothed tables in the dining area with older adults (like us) on the left. The owner, "Frankee," greeted and seated us. He also dropped by to say hello and chat ... very friendly, and we saw him sit down at two other tables to chat. One time there was a live singer playing an electric keyboard at the far end of the bar, lots of songs we recognized. There were four unoccupied tables on a narrow second floor nook spanning the rear wall, maybe for a small, private party? Both times the service and food were excellent, from the salad to the entrées to the dessert (including great tiramisu). The last time we were there, I snapped a photo of the jumbo shrimp over spinach with oil and garlic, but didn't bother with photos of the dishes with Parmesan cheese because then all you see is mozzarella cheese on top and not what's under it. FYI, a lot of dishes are called "Parmesan" due to the Parmesan style of layering the entrée (whether it be chicken, veal or eggplant) with sauce and cheese. It's moderately priced. Their "half" portions are often enough for two, so you can often order for one, but get enough for two, especially if it's a three-course meal ... just ask for extra plates.

We were in a section that included a live singer and made for great ambiance. By 7:30, every table was filled. For restaurant week, I chose the 4 blue point oysters, the 6oz filet mignon and the cheesecake. The oysters were great and subtly briny and the filet was cooked perfectly (though the potato and vegetable side were pretty underwhelming). The cheesecake was considered Italian and was very lumpy, grainy and I did not like that style. We also ordered the brussel sprouts, grilled octopus and creamed spinach. The brussel sprouts were the highlight of the meal - highly recommend!! The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly The creamed spinach was a tad salty but yummy They also half bottles of wine which was a happy medium for my party My sister got the mussels, lamb shank and tiramisu as her restaurant week choices.
