Got random tomato soup, two bread rolls starting to get old but still fine for take home- especially when you add a bit of water and heat up, and seasoned chicken cutlets starting to "age" but still fine to eat . Great offering and quantity for the price and the quality was fine for TooGoodToGo. Tomato soup is very tomato-ey. So soups and apparently their Italian hoagie are top notch. The Old Fashioned Italian hoagie was absolutely perfect: Italian cold cuts, sharp provolone, balsamic vinegar, and a long hot pepper, on a chewy sesame roll. This hit the spot! Only $10, and big enough that my friend and I split it and were stuffed. I enjoyed my half with an Orangina, sitting at the counter looking out the front window. Wow this place is great! Vincenzo's is a great little sandwich shop in South Philly that I discovered yesterday. I got some carrot soup here and it was one of the best soups I have ever eaten. It looks like they make homemade soup daily so I am excited to come back and get more soup. They also have awesome sounding hoagies and sandwiches that I am looking forward to ordering. Vincenzo's is one of South Philly's hidden treasures. This small deli is operating for take-out during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is located on a corner in a typical South Philly rowhome neighborhood - actually it is not that far from trendy East Passyunk Avenue but Vincenzo's feels a world apart. In my opinion they re especially known for two offerings from their menu - their breakfast sandwiches and their hoagies. Recently I ordered one of their famous hoagies. Ir did not disappoint. Their take on this Philly classic sandwich is not quite as large as some but there is none tastier in all of Philadelphia. This is both one of the fastest deliveries and most delicious chicken parm sandwiches I have experienced in South Philadelphia. I ordered at 12:15 and it was here by 12:30. The fries were still hot, and the sandwich was delicious, and my drink was still ice cold. Got two quarts of homemade veg soup and loved it! The bread it came with melts in your mouth with a quick dip into the soup. The soup is homemade and I believe the soup offered changes regularly. Woke up feeling extra hungry today and came across Vincenzo's Deli after browsing desperately for a hearty breakfast. After reading several great reviews, a few people mentioned a meatball omelette that apparently was a "secret menu" item. I decided to look at the menu to see what else they have and was surprised to see the Meatball omelette was listed on the menu. Done deal. I called in for pickup and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Living just a few blocks away, I biked over and my order was right on time. The staff was very friendly and like all the other reviews, I felt very welcomed. Definitely a small neighborhood spot vibe. When I got home, I dug in right away. The omelette comes with meatballs, spinach and provolone cheese. I opted to add long hots because I love spice and I'm glad I did. Also came with a side of home fries and toast. I've been going to Vincenzo's on a regular basis for over a year now, and I wish I could give more than 5 stars, because it definitely deserves it! Sue and her staff treat you like family, not just another customer. Everything is homemade, and if you want to "think outside the box," and Sue has the ingredients, she'll whip it up, no questions asked! there are the "regulars," who are there every day for breakfast and/or lunch; it kind of reminds you of the TV show, "Cheers," where "everybody knows your name.". Sue's father-in-law is in and out, making deliveries reading the paper, and chatting with everyone. This place is a true South Philly lunch counter. They call themselves "South Philly's Best Kept Secret" and I am reluctant to blow up their spot. Come in here for breakfast or lunch and let Sue cook it up like your surrogate Italian mother. Nothing is fancy, but she takes pride in what she does and keeps things interesting with specials. All the South Philly staples are good here. Just soak in the flavor as the locals banter and Sue's tiny elderly father struggles with the deli slicer. read more

This is officially my go to spot for breakfast and meatball sandwiches from now on. The customer service is EXCELLENT and they definitely made me feel at home (even though I'm already a lifelong raised South Philadelphian). Best meatball sandwiches in Philly and I had LOTS of meatballs in my mouth from different places (that's what she said). Maybe today was an off day? Ordered two different hoagies. The inside meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc was all fresh and delicious. The roll on the other hand wasn't fresh to what I know. One of South Philly's best spots. The atmosphere is very homey and the cooks are amazing. The staff is one of the friendliest I have ever encountered and they will personalize every order for you. I had the meatball omelette which is not on the menu, but was suggested to me by the cook and it was delicious. Their meatballs are homemade and eating there feels like you are eating at an Italian family's home. I have also had the chicken cutlet sandwiches which were fantastic as well.
