Update: I got my drive belt replaced at Vince's because the mechanic recommended saying that my belt was so damaged and may stop in the middle of the road. A couple of months later, when I went to a closer mechanic from home to get my oil changed, I was shown with a picture of the sides of my drive belt fraying. I had to get a new drive belt after a couple of months of service at Vince's. Very disappointed at Vince's belt drive replacement. read more

First time visiting Vince's, and I was treated like their most respected customer. Car is a 2016 Acura ILX First off, there's no indoor seating for waiting. There's a shaded gazebo outside. And parking is a bit of a mess. I needed an oil change, and diagnosis/replace some suspension parts. Wasn't quite sure where the noise was coming from, but I had an inconsistent clunking noise in the driver wheel well. Oil change went fine, although it did take around 2 hours. I was told they use race oil and premium filters (along with other parts) you won't be able to find in stores, so I was ok with the wait. Onto the suspension diagnosis, this is where I would recommend Vince's over ANY other mechanic. I was told they took my car for a test drive and could definitely hear a clunking, but even after a visual inspection they couldn't find an issue. I was told they just bought a very expensive computer with sensors and microphones which could attach to the undercarriage to better understand where the noise was coming from. Diagnosis was $150, and I was assured it would work. They hooked it up and within 30 minutes they had a test drive complete and told me it was the stabilizer links on the driver's side. Total repair was about $350 for both sides. The repair would be a couple of hours Vince told me, and offered to give me a ride back home. I live about 2 miles away but still, GREAT gesture. Left my car at the shop around 1030, and around 4pm I got a call saying my car was done and they'd bring it over to my place, pick me up, and have me test drive it back to the shop. Instantly I could feel the difference and NO CLUNKING NOISE. Around $100 for oil change, $150 for diagnosis, and $350 for stabilizer links Great friendly service, labor was done professionally (they keep bins with hardware which comes off the car, to prevent losing bolts, fasteners etc.), successful and interesting diagnosis, timely repairs, and even offered to drop me off and pick me up after the work was done. I had some concerns about an odd smell coming from my engine, and needed a repair in a tire that had a slow leak. My Jeep dealer was booked until late September, which was way too long for me to wait since I was going out town that weekend. I had heard great reviews for the service at Vince's from the Canton Neighbors group, so I decided to take a chance. I was able to get an appointment easily the next day, and I was blown away by the service! The staff was SO friendly and treated me and spoke to me like I was part of their family. I was in and out within a reasonable time, and the issue (rats starting to make nests under my hood ) was shown and explained to me in detail by Ray, along with recommendations to help prevent them from moving back in (once I stopped screaming). An outdoor waiting space was set up with a canopy, table, chairs, outlets, and a fan. I was offered something to drink while I waited and was updated along the process. More interested in purchasing my vehicle than fixing it. Quoted me $1200 for repairs, found another shop who charged me $550. They also wanted an additional $2000 for more repairs which I found out were unnecessary. Also they kept ignoring me when I said I'll be paying cash, but kept pushing financing for my repairs. Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value I took my pop up camper RV Into Vinces Recently because no other RV repair shops were open due to hi demand. They were not recommended I just googled them & they were the only place that said yes bring it on in no waiting needed. I cannot tell you how happy I am with that decision.....not only is it fixed to the highest standards, as if it were brand new again, the price felt reasonable & they could not have been more polite, more accomodating more professional. I went in to get my catalytic converter replaced, and they did an excellent job! I was really impressed with listening to the owner talk to other customers, telling them that he and his mechanics try to find out the REASON behind failing parts in a car, so that they can treat both the symptom and the cause. When they realized that I was going to wait in the outside waiting area (an open gazebo to help avoid covid, next to garden boxes), they took me home themselves. The car runs great, Vince's is VERY fair with their prices, and they really show dedication to their customers, in hopes of them becoming regulars. Great guys! Very informative. My car got hit in an accident the day before I left for an international vacation and I took it here because it was the only one near me open on a Saturday. I'm glad I did. Not only did they talk me through the insurance process and next steps, they also gave me a ride home since I was in a pinch! My father has a 1975 Bricklin and he just waited over 2 months to complete the job he said wouldn't take more then a month, he only has one lift so he kept putting the Bricklin to the side for everyone else that came in. Not to mention he would tell my pop more things that he should fix, he came in for a gas tank!!, his son also had his fun test driving this timely beauty over and over, to make a 2 month story short after putting my father off when my father finally went in to pick up the car, not only did they burn the battery out, disconnect different wires causing more problems but he was charged 49 hundred for what was done on the car. The original first price was around 25 hundred since they charge 150 an hour for shop time, the highest ever, so the moral to this nightmare is Vince himself is a smooth talking sounds like he knows what he is talking about milker, he will drain you dry if you need something besides an oil change done, so BEWARE!!!! read more

Hands-down the best mechanic service that I've ever received. Ed and his team are incredible at what they do, nice, honest, and more than anything they are fair. They were able to see me on very short notice - got me in and out easily. The part they installed went on the fritz in my car, and they offered to change it out for a new one free of charge. I ended up not needing it because the part began working (as Ed said it would), but it meant a lot to me. Also, the free check engine light diagnostic saved me about $80 from a place down the street. I lived in Baltimore for 1 1/2 years and I have an 2005 Acura EL - which is a Canadian car. A lot of mechanics that I went to in the Balto area treated my car as a regular Honda Civic, but not at Vince's. Initially, I came to his shop with ignition issues that has no particular pattern. I had the same issue half a year before and I took it to AAA, and they did not solve the problem at all. He knew my car was a Canadian car right away, and he did not treat my car like a regular civic like the other mechanics did. When he noticed that my transmission fluid was slow, he actually called the Acura dealership in Baltimore to double check what type of fluid the EL takes. After some digging, they eventually found out that my alternator was faulty. My battery was not charging properly because the alternator was not able to charge the battery while driving. They replaced it promptly and put me back on the road. A few days later, I noticed a weird echo and took it back. Turns out that the new alternator had a detect and they took care of it right away and replaced it for FREE - yes, free labour as well! That is what I call service - they take pride in their quality and craftsmanship and are willing to take responsibility for their work. Everyone there are super nice to me as well. Once time I was waiting there to get my car fixed right away and Ed and I had a great conversation. Last but not least, I asked the shop to store my car for a week before it was shipped back to Canada. Just as I trust them working on my car, I absolutely trust them with my car there as well. I've been to Vince's Auto Repair twice now and I have had positive experiences both times. The first time was for a major transmission issue, which you can imagine was very stressful for me. Ray offered plenty of practical advice about how to proceed and was very patient with me as I tried to determine what to do with my vehicle. The second time I visited the auto shop was for a bulb replacement for my headlight. This time I met Vince, the owner of the shop. Both him and Ray are very kind and intelligent people. They've been in the business for years and known the ins and outs of vehicle repair and maintenance. I typically go to the dealer for auto issues but there is no comparison with Vince's. This local shop is far superior than the dealer and will give you a much more personable and honest experience. Their prices are cheaper and more reasonable compared to the dealer. Added bonus, Vince is an awesome person to chat with while you wait for your car to be fixed. Highly recommend this shop and I will definitely return in the future! read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. I went there right when I moved to Maryland for my inspection and they by far had the best prices. Super trustworthy and honest. I recently moved further away and had some car trouble, I took it to a mechanic closer to me that tried to sell me on $1300 in repairs which I knew weren't the problem so I took my car and drove it to Vince's. They did a thorough inspection and identified the actual problem (which was nothing the other mechanic identified) and saved me $800. They were super responsive to my annoying phone calls to check on it and they are just always nice and wonderful anytime I've gone.
