We stumbled upon this winery on a very crowded Saturday in wine country. We pulled up to a bigger winery off Rancho California and couldn't get out of the crowd fast enough. We came from Los Angeles to experience baloon flying for the first time. It's family own business. Our captain was Dave (dad) and his son was flying the other baloon. The whole experience was A+! The flight was perfect, we got lucky with weather: very small winds and not too hot (low 80). The flight lasted about 60min. Dave was pointing things out about other wineries and things to look for. The landing was very smooth and not bumpy at all. Dave has a great team working for him and he makes it look very easy. After the flight his 2nd son was waiting for us with a beautiful breakfast spread and mimosas. I'd highly recommend this place for your baloon flying experience. This was our second stop on our day trip and it was very disappointing. Coming from a winery that the they informed us so much on the wine and when we came here all they did was pour the wine. It's $30 for 5 wines each. Small pours so it's not even worth it, you get no information no type of service nothing. You wear a mask to enter and can take it off once you sit and drink the wine however I did see people walking to the bar and a couple at the bar just hanging out without one. We care about the employees so we kept it on while we got our pours and waited until seated. The girls were friendly but just didn't say anything about the wine or even what they poured in each glass since they did two at a time. It was really disappointing I just wanted to get out of there. Also they have this Porto potty outside looks run down. Because I went to a previous winery I know they can still give you information on their wine and provide good service shouldn't change. For $30 you get small pours, no information on what they are pouring or what's what when they pour two at the same time and a Porto potty. read more

Phenomenal Family Owned winery. We visited this winery for their Hot Air Balloon ride. Our awesome pilot was Dillon, a very knowledgeable and passionate Pilot. He explained the whole process of the hot air Balloon to my girlfriend and I. While we where up in the air he was our detailed visual guide, recommended some wines from his Families winery and other local wineries. Most of the 2 star ratings for this winery have complained about the set up. We agree, but would prefer to address the quality of the wine. We paid $30 (yep, that's right) for 4 tastes. We tried the 2017 Viognier which tasted as if the bottle had been opened for too long and had crossed over the edge. The Sauv Blanc was just OK. Then the Zin had a spicy nose but failed to deliver anything of interest. The Cab was a total disaster, again tasting as if it had been maybe opened for a week. The nose reminded us of a musty basement. These were absolutely the worst wines we think we've ever tasted, and the price was ridiculous. Beware! read more

This winery wasn't that great. First of all, they only have portable restrooms that are obviously not the cleanest. The bartenders barely give you anything during your tastings. I actually had a tasting with my sister and her tasting was bigger than mine. I literally saw it side by side to compare it. They said you can take your wine anywhere on the property, but you need to come back to the bar to get another tasting. Why can't they come to the one communal area they have to serve more wine? Also the wine is ridiculously expensive. Maybe not expensive to you, but it averages about 80 dollars a bottle. To me, I've been to plenty wineries that average 40 dollars a bottle. read more

It's a really lovely spot, and the wines we tasted were very good. So why only three stars? Well, you see, it's a bit on the pricey side. A tasting is around $20, which is getting to be about average in the valley (sigh.) BUT the bottles, well, they make so few of them they're all very pricey. Vindemia's top varietals are their Estate Syrah and Zinfandel with my favorite bottle named "More Cowbell" which reflects the cute personality of this small family-produced winery. All the wines on their tasting menu were excellent! I'm a huge fan of red wine and Vindemia has some of the best reds in Temecula. Small production, high quality, and wine worthy of collection. The staff is extremely warm, friendly, and accommodating. The tasting room is located outside which offers unique experience and you cannot beat the views. My new go-to spot for a relaxing afternoon in Temecula. I love the outdoor set up of this winery. Tasting area is a bar located in the patio. There are many tables for picnicking as well. We bought a bottle to enjoy with our lunch and brought home a couple bottles as well. I favor the Regatta de Blanc. It has beautiful aromas of peach and honeysuckle, it tastes sweet but not like a dessert wine. The Grenache rose was also very good with very nice aromas. I'm normally a red wine drinker but their whites really took me by surprise. The view is also spectacular. This sits on top of a hill. Temecula is a small wine region but looking out at the picturesque view of the rolling hills reminded me of Tuscany. Peaceful and beautiful. Had a great time and will be returning to this winery often. read more

Such a cute little setting! $15 for 5 tastings. Me, my mom and my grandma split the 5 since we were winery hopping. Complimentary cheese, bread and olive oil straight from the property. There are a few tables set near the wine bar. It was very quaint and extremely quiet when I went on a Sunday. This vineyard was primarily red wine (not my favorite) but I still enjoyed the sweeter wines that I tried. I had the 2008 Grenache Vermeille, 2008 Syrah which I thought was okay, the 2008 Cabernet Franc was a very dry wine so for those of you who like them dry and I had the Sauvignon Blanc. This place is perfect if you just want to go with a couple girlfriends and have a good time. read more

Really, truly disappointing. Bad customer service. A month ago, I made reservations for a wine tasting for my best friend's 40th birthday. Two days before the event, I called to confirm the reservation and they said I didn't have one because they couldn't accommodate our group size. They said they didn't know why the person who had taken my reservation took it. I asked to speak to the manager and they said he was in a meeting and would call me back. He never did. I got a text a few hours later from someone making recommendations for other wineries to try, but I had previously called those wineries the month before and couldn't get a reservation. read more

But we went in this evening for a glass and the server had her dog on the counter eating and customers letting their very large dogs reaching up to the counter to eat from a plate. Great little boutique winery! You do your tastings outside so it's perfect for a nice, sunny day. The employees are super friendly and provide excellent service. They're also very knowledgeable about the wine. If you're into whites this probably isn't for you. They do have two white wines but specialize in red. All of the wines are fabulous! You do have to walk up a dirt pathway coveted in bark so I wouldn't recommend wearing heels. I had a hard time even in wedges. Definitely visiting again sometime! read more

If the experience overall had been more positive I would have been able to give them higher marks, as their wines are quite good. Unfortunately the petit verdot was gone, so we did not get a chance to try it. I found the server to be pretentious and pretty high pressure, not the laid back experience that other people have experienced. That sullied my time there significantly. We started out our weekend getaway wine tasting here. The perfect place to stop. Michael was full of knowledge and took better care of use during the tasting than any other winery. The atmosphere and View is spectacular. It's a laid back family owned operation. It's what makes visiting Temecula so amazing, places like this. Not only the shipments are rather pricy for what they offer (their wines are really not something to write about), but this is the ONLY winery in the area that has a one-year policy, where you cannot cancel your membership before 12 months of the date you signed up. Even if you get pregnant, being obvious that you will not be able to consume their wine (the representative suggested I could use the bottles as a gift!). This was the last winery we stopped at on our last day of wine tasting and we almost didn't go here since we were pretty much burnt out. Thankfully, we did stop. The tasting room is currently just a large rented(?) tent, but I am guessing a more formal setting is in the works. You get there by driving to an the end of a paved road and then go up a dirt road (uphill) that is easily drivable for most cars. The only furnishings are a few table with plants and the makeshift bar. While the tasting room is not much to look at, the view looking out is pretty nice.
