(Separate business) CONs: Prices: As should be expected, You pay a lot for the convenience. Prices of everything are at least double what you would pay at a grocery store. For example: a pint of Ben and Jerrys ice cream costs almost $13 HOURS: I am an early riser and would go there more often if they were open earlier Currently, They do not open until 7:30am.

The place is packed with goodies too numerous to mention here, but all sorts of trinkets and convenience items can be found here. Navigating the store can be a daunting task since it is filled to the gills with all sorts of food, drink and spirits, but the selection is fair and ample. The nice couple who own the establishment are cordial and accommodating. The husband may be a slight more reserved and quiet, but the wife makes up for it by greeting customers with a smile and sunny personality. I have known many owners at Pal's for over 30 years and all have been a pleasure to deal with. The prices may be a tad bit higher than elsewhere, but I am of the belief that I'd rather pay a little more at a local Mom and Pop neighborhood establishment than perhaps saving a couple of bucks at a big box retailer, Target or Safeway. Another plus is that they open early and staying late. If you are a soccer player, the store is frequented by young and old soccer players at MLK field right behind the store and is cherished by all when a refreshment is desperately needed after a strenuous workout!

You know what I mean - a go-to place for getting that…read morespecial bottle, a go-to place when you need to get a special flower arrangement, a go-to place where you can hang out and chill with a couple of buddies. Vintage is my go-to place for that next out-of-the ordinary bottle of bourbon and a last minute bottle of wine when in Mill Valley. Almost every time I am in MV I swing by here to see what bourbons they have on the shelf. This is where I discovered Rowen's Creek (or was it Noah's Mill). This is where I picked up that Pappy Van Winkle 15 year at a decent price. The list goes on. The selection isn't the largest, but they always have interesting ones to choose from. Yes, they have Knob Creek and Makers and some of the other standards, but I can get those at Safeway if I want. I go here for Black Maple Hill, Willet Pot Still Reserve, Elijah Craig 18 year, or the aforementioned Pappy Van Winkle. They also have a nice good selection of wine. And the prices aren't too bad.

I can only speak from my own experience, which has been helpful and informative. It's a good spot in downtown Mill Valley that we leverage for a hostess gift or something special to bring to a local dinner party. Visit here or Mill Valley Market for local night-of options to share.
