Exceeded expectations!…read more Stopped in to meet friends watching a World Cup match and then ordered an intermezzo salad and prosciutto sandwich to go. As a combined beer garden and pizza place, it features a huge outdoor area with plenty of spaced-out seating and a dedicated play area for kids, including foosball. The food is a major draw, with pies made by SF's own Pizza Hacker. It is easily some of the best pizza in the Bay Area; we tried several varieties, including the Margherita, Pepperoni, and the Ohio. They even offer a good quality gluten-free option, which was great for my buddy. Their drink menu is equally diverse, featuring an excellent selection of beer, wine, and mocktails, ensuring there is something for everyone. While the setting is excellent, the service can be a bit spotty. The restaurant gets extremely busy, and at times it feels like the staff is simply stretched thin. We found the table servers to be much better than the cashiers at the windows, who could be a bit unfriendly. One cashier even insisted he had confirmed our order correctly when I had to correct what was actually brought to us--definitely a case of poor active listening skills. They would have received 5 stars if it weren't for the cashiers taking orders. Overall, if you go in knowing it leans heavily toward a family-oriented crowd and can get very crowded, it's a wonderful place to enjoy great pizza and the outdoors. Just be patient with the parking, as it can be a bit tricky to find a spot.

I had Fish Hook before in San Francisco and got to try this location and the food is amazing!…read more I got the oysters, the ling cod fish plate, and black cod tacos and my favorite is definitely the ling cod plate. The ling cod is one of my favorite fish they have there and the rice and the tomatoes on the plates are delicious!!! I wish the staff here are more friendly and the food can come out a little slow, especially on the weekends. The staff mentioned that we would have to wait for 30-45minutes for the fish and chips so I didn't get it and I wish I could if I didn't have to wait that long. But overall I really enjoyed coming here for fresh fish options and a great place to come with friends!

I can't comment on the food because I never got the chance to eat it. After waiting in line,…read morereviewing the menu, and finding options that worked with a temporary diet I'm on, I placed my order. Only when it came time to pay was I told they couldn't enter my order because I didn't already have a table. Apparently you're expected to secure a seat before ordering, and there was a wait. I don't understand this policy. One of the advantages of counter-service restaurants is that you order first, then find a table while your food is being prepared. That keeps things moving. Requiring people to occupy a table before they can even place an order seems like it would make everyone's meal take longer and reduce table turnover, which seems counterintuitive and inefficient. The bigger problem is that this wasn't obvious to a first-time customer. I had no reason to think that this restaurant operated differently than virtually every other casual counter-service restaurant I've been to in my life. You only find out after you've already waited in line and are ready to pay. To make matters more confusing, my husband had eaten here before and simply ordered first and found a table afterward, just like he would anywhere else. He had never encountered this policy. If it's only enforced during busy periods, that's exactly when customers should be clearly informed before they spend time waiting in line. I'm sure Hook Fish is popular with regulars who already know how the system works. For a first-time customer, though, the experience was confusing and frustrating. I live nearby, but this was such a poor first impression that I won't be back.

Mill Valley Market has been operating since 1929 and they are still family run . This is their 4th generation! We came to get their sandwiches and boy did they deliver. Ordered 2 vegetarian, chicken chipotle, Thanksgiving turkey and got jerk chicken from the hot foods buffet! They are way better than Whole Foods fyi! Great quality and freshest taste ! Delicious food and great service ! Love supporting our local gems and they nourished us with love! They also have a fish and meat market ! And a full grocery store plus a ln amazing wine selection and hot and cold buffet! Will be back!!

The $14.99 sandwich was pre-cut and full of thick pieces of steak. There was a ton of arugula and pickled red onion. This was a very good homemade tasting sandwich of great quality. The market itself is pretty low key, very dense and small. It has everything you need but it doesn't have the produce that I would normally get at a Whole Foods or Good Earth. The service was good and it was very convenient to go to. We will definitely come back to get sandwiches here whenever we have a picnic nearby. It was convenient. The redwood park nearby did not disappoint.

So you get a small and intimate feel where seated outdoors (so pleasant) or indoors. They have live jazz style music playing. There's some shade in the mini courtyards outside seating but even if there's sun, they have portable patio umbrellas. Staff immediately brought out cushions and a water bowl for my fur babies; they were so sweet!! Bathrooms are clean . Oh and indoors is soooo cute. Rustic but cozy!! Happy hour is 4-6 pm at the "bar section" only, separate from the main restaurant. Go early as its first come first serve. I tried the crispy buffalo wings which was good. But the walla walla waffle chips with onion dip was phenomenal. Such deep rich flavor dip. I also tried the half dozen raw oysters; the accompanying sauce and lemon enhanced the flavor perfectly. My server Maya was so sweet and patient. She checked in at the appropriate times and frequency. Gave awesome recommendations and just had such a warm and happy demeanor. Julyssys (?) was so kind and hard working too! Overall I'm very pleased with my experience and look forward to returning!! Thank you! From Pumpernickel & Pierogi

I finally was able to come and visit on the way back from camping and this hit the spot. I got here with my friend in the evening on a Monday night. The restaurant was about an hour from close, but that restaurant was completely full. Their service was all right, but I think they just had a full house. It's definitely a spot that I would take a date or enjoy a girls night out. It's by the water and has a beautiful view. The parking lot had a ton of spots, so don't worry too much unless you're coming on a busy weekend. The only issue that I had was that the bathroom is not on site. It is a little further of a walk, but it is something to know. Their bread and butter was delicious and I also got the oyster sampler platter as well as the clam chowder. Bread and butter is always delicious. The oysters hit the spot after camping and I can't remember which ones I got, but I'm already thinking about the next time I come back. The clam chowder is a little different than most, but it was creamy and a little soupier. I enjoyed the taste and it had fresh clams in it. When I first got it, I thought that I wouldn't be as full as I was at the end. The clam chowder does have toasted bread for an additional cost, but I chose to opt out with the bread and butter that I ordered. Thankfully, I had the bread to also dip in the soup. My friend got the clam spaghetti and she thought it was good but she wishes it was a little more saucy. In addition, she got the martini that came with an oyster, but she found the martini to be a little light. Lastly, I believe we got the peach panna cotta and it was to die for. I would definitely come back for this. Can't wait to try out Hog Island again when I'm in the area!
