If you go on the internet, everybody will tell you that blinds and shades are an easy, cheap DIY project. While this may be true, you'll never have the same quality, fit and finish, and assurance from anywhere else, as you would with Vineyard Blinds. I'll cut to the chase: I consider myself a fairly competent DIYer (when motivated) yet I went with Vineyard blinds not only because they stand behind all of their products and installation for life, but also because they were able to accommodate complex customizations at an extremely reasonable price. That's not something you get at Home Depot, blindster, or anywhere else on the internet. My realtor referred me to Vinyeyard and here's how it worked: Randy initially came out for a free in-home estimate. At this point, I only had a vague idea what I wanted each room to look like, but I didn't really know anything about shades. Fortunately Randy did, so I trusted his suggestions. After a couple hours of Randy taking measurements, talking through all the different options, and flipping through a book of fabrics, we finally came to an agreement. There were no high pressure sales tactics but Randy was so great at what he did, how could I say no? I signed. Now here's where you'll benefit from my experience: I spent the next couple days doing a lot of research on the web to see if I made the right decision. In that time, I learned a ton about shades, so much that I probably could've asked Randy for a part time job. Just kidding. However, the more I researched, the more I realized how great of a value Vineyard was. Nobody else offers a lifetime warranty. That's just absurd. Nobody else makes large custom fabric valances without charging a grand. Nobody else gets ALL the measurements right on the first try, and even accounts for all of your window or doors' nuances. On the day of installation, Lucas, Steven, and Randy showed up even earlier than expected. They covered their shoes and got to work immediately. In under a couple of hours, the shades were done and looked amazing. I went with dual roller shades in the bedrooms (blackout and light filtering), and light filtering in the living room. It's completely transformed the look of my house and given it a very contemporary and upscale feel. Vineyard Blinds was referred to me by a friend for my new home. I needed all new blinds for the entire place. I had been bombarded with flyers from every blind company in Orange County and had no idea who to go with, so the referral paid off. I obtained 5 quotes and Vinyard Blinds beat them all on price. I was able to do about half of my windows initially and because I was so happy with the work (Great quality shades, quick install and clean up), I used them again for to finish off the windows in the house.
